As Alastor stepped away from the floo outlets in the entrance lobby of the ministry he stopped for a moment to regain his composure and remind himself why he was there. With a determined look on his face and a target for his rage nearby he entered the elevator and headed for the auror offices. Storming through the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, he entered into the wing of offices that belonged to the Auror's and finally spotted the one he was looking for.
As he approached Angelique's door he pounded on it a couple times to see if she was in. "Angelique! It's Alastor, by Merlin's beard woman you better be in there!"

Angelique had never realized how much paperwork was involved in her job until now. She was going to have to hire an assistant, just to help her keep on top of it all. She wanted to be out there, doing her job on a more active level. She wanted to be investigating Greta Weiss. Vincent had been unable to fire the wretched woman, but he had demoted her and stuck her in the Werewolf Registry, which now had a vacancy, thanks to the promotion of Evangeline James to Assistant to the Minister. Angelique knew she should be glad the woman was still close by, so she could monitor her, but whatever reason would she have to go to the werewolf registry?
So today she sat at her desk, working her way through a mountain of paperwork. It was even more maddening, now that two of her aurors, Ted Tonks and Andromeda Black, were essentially knocked out of commission by a breakup and an idiotic article in the Daily Prophet. She still needed to get over to Andromeda's apartment to talk to the girl and see if she could motivate her to get back to work. They needed her now.
Angelique was startled from her thoughts by the loud banging on the door, followed by Alastor Moody's booming voice. She took a breath, knowing that whatever he wanted, it was bound to be another problem.
"Come in, Alastor!" she called.

Alastor threw open the door the moment he heard Angelique's voice, closing it behind him he turned to Angelique with a very grim look. Approaching her desk he sat in the chair and removed a silver flask containing firewhiskey from the inside pocket of his robes. Taking a delayed swig of the dark brew he sat the flask on the desk. "You may want some of that here in a minute."
Lowering his eyes till he was staring at the desk, he continued on. "A girl was murdered in the forbidden forest at Hogwarts. Headmaster Dumbledore and myself both inspected the body, no marks or signs of a struggle. I hope I do not need to say what that means..." He paused for a few moments to allow Angelique to absorb everything so far.

Angelique was stunned. A murder at Hogwarts? A student? This was terrible news, to say the least. "Oh, Merlin..." she gasped. "I'm assuming you have no suspects at this time? We're going to have to beef up security over at the school." She frowned deeply. If all of the aurors were covering the school, there would be no one covering anywhere else. And as it was, they had precious few aurors that were available.

Raising his eyes to meet Angelique's he shook his head when she asked about suspects. "Yes, we need to beef up security but we can't get carried away. If we put all the auror's on Hogwarts then instead of dead students we'll have a lot of other dead people, muggle and wizard alike." Grabbing his flask from the desk and taking another swig he continued. "Give me a couple good auror's, who do we have available at the moment? Fabian Prewett possibly?"

Angelique nodded. "My thoughts exactly," she agreed. "I've already given an assignment to Ted Tonks... Under the circumstances, I don't think that it would be the best idea to have him near the school, where he might cause a further distraction. I think Fabian is available, though. Also, Elphias Doge. He's old, but I do think he would be good to work at the school. Between those two, you, and Andromeda Black, when I can get her back to work, do you think that will be enough?"

Alastor smiled as she said Fabian was available. "Elphias Doge may be old but so is Albus Dumbledore, Doge's experience will be more than useful to us and with Fabian we will have more than enough." Standing up he took one last swig off his flask and replaced it in the pocket of his robes. "You look like your settling into your job quite well, i'll let you inform the others to meet with me at Hogwarts. There is no time to waste."
With a small bow and a quick turn Alastor was out of the office and once more on his way back to Hogwarts.
