Arachne wore a long sleek black skirt with a slit up the back and a dark green silk bouse that hugged her curves, and she wore heals that made her legs seem even more delicate and slender.
She stood down the corridor past the potions classroom, she had been assigned to assitant teach for Professor Slughorn on the following day. However she wanted to make her introductions in advance, learn what she could about the professor as well as anything else of interest she might run across while she was here.
She had timed her arrival so that she could easily watch the students as they left their classroom. You never knew who'd you meet in the dungeons and her divinations had provided her that she would meet someone of interest today. She was patient to find out who it would be, but she wasn't going to sit by idly and wait for something to fall into her lap...

Rabastan took his time getting his things together and left the room with the mass of students. He didnt need to be out first, and certainly not if he was on Slughorn's good list, though he wasn't sure how much value that really held.
Books in hand, he left the classroom, not paying much attention to his surroundings as he let his mind wander to Andromeda, and what had happened in the hall. And the fact he hadn't see her recently.

Arachne watched as most of the students passed by and then she saw him. She didn't know who he was.. but her sixth sense told her that this was the one. He was the only one she noted who wasn't talking to someone, that was walking with a stride that exuded confidence but seemed completely distracted by his thoughts. She walked towards him so close that as she passed him by she drew one long slender finger up from his wrist to his shoulder as she passed, a smirk on her naturally red lips, her steps slowing as she passed.
She was ever changing to fit her purposes and goals, but she had that inner feeling that she often got when desiny opened it's doors that this boy had something to offer her, and she wasn't about to let him pass her by.

That caused him to look up, though he might have had she not even touched him. It wasn't like he wasn't used to girls touching him, but she seemed very deliberate.
And when he looked up, he realized he had absolutely no idea who she was. Was she a new student? Slytherin, by the looks of her.
He glanced around to see if Evelyn or Andi were around, and slightly altered his course for her. "Hello," he said, falling into step next to her. He hadn't seen her in class... was she lost? Looking for the Slytherin common room, perhaps? "You look a little lost. I happen to be very good and helping people find their way."

Arachne slowed to a stop and turned back around she gave a slow smile and her eyes held an air of dusky mystery to them.
"I'm new here, actually. My name is Arachne, yours?" Her Romanian accent was present, there was no reason to hide it and would bode better if no one knew she was with the ministry. She didn't answer him about being lost though she let him make an assumption on his own.
Now that she had a look at him she realized he was one of the most dangerously beautiful male specimens she'd seen in a long time. And by the look in his face, he knew it. Interesting... he must be a 7th year by the looks of him, old enough to call a man even if he was a student. Her eyelashes lowered and she raised an eyebrow. "Are you usually so helpful to strange women wandering the dungeons?"

"I could tell you were new," Rabastan said, and then held out his hand. "I'm Rabastan. It is a pleasure to meet you Arachne. Can I help you find somewhere? Where do you need to be?"
A class he had next would be convenient, he thought, even as he softly laughed at her question.
"Yes, actually. I am always this nice to damsels in distress." That was the truth if ever he had spoken it. Seeing a pretty girl looking lost was a golden oppertunity that he would never let go.

Arachne wasn't lost on where she'd been intending to go, but if he was offering to help she saw no reason why not to give him something to help her with. She still had alot to learn about this castle since she'd only been there about 2 days.
"Actually you could help me find the Dark Arts class. Oh wait you don't have that here do you at Hogwarts. I mean the Defence Against the Dark Arts class. I appologize the classes at Durmstrangs were much different than here." She had meant it as a minor slur against Hogwarts, their manner of teaching how to protect against the dark arts was rather pathetic in her opinion. The true power was knowing as much as possible about the threats so that you could better know how to defend if you needed to. A bunch of counter courses wasn't the way to teach class... and as she's always believed as old as the phrase was, the best defence was to have a better offence.
She actually needed to location Bellatrix Black, who she'd found out was assisting in that class and she might as well use this student to find Bellatrix for her. Her mouth remained only slightly open, her lips naturally full as she played his little damsel in distress. She could be anything she wanted to be if she set her mind to it. But she couldn't help the look of mystery in her eyes. But that was mainly because she masked her thoughts with her smoky blue eyes.

So she was a student, he thought to himself. Another transfer... they'd been getting quite a lot of those lately.
"I can show you to the room," he said, adjusting his bag on his shoulder. "I'm not sure if Professor Rothschild has a class right now or not, but we can always find out. What year are you?" He asked finally. He was never a good judge of age, but she looked like she was close to his age, and he would have guess that she was a seventh year.
"Shall we?" He asked, giving her a very charming smile and offering his arm to her.

Arachne wasn't about to answer his question yet, she was enjoying playing with him a little first. He would likely loose interest once he found out she wasn't a student... or would he? She pondered that. "What year do you want me to be?" She asked instead, her voice mysteriously husky. She loved playing with people, but he looked like a challenge and she was trying to test his responses one by one.
As he offered his arm she took it smoothly and without a moment of hesitation, though she slid next to him just slightly closer than necessary but not too close to be awkward. "Lead the way."

The cornes of his lips turned up in a smile that he didn't bother trying to hide. He liked that answer quite a lot, and he wasn't afraid to let her know it as they walked towards the stairs to get out of the dungeons.
"Oh, love, any year is fine by me," he told her. "I can work with any of them."

She smiled inwardly, her divination had been correct at least on one thing.. he was definitely going to be someone of interest to her though likely in a way she hadn't quite expected before coming down here. And his reply was even more intriguing, so he was a charmer was he? She was going to enjoy him she thought to herself as she walked beside him.
"So tell me... what does a handsome guy like you do when you aren't in classes, besides rescuing damsels in distress?"

He chuckled. "I think you underestimate the amount of damsels in distress around here," he said with a conspiratorial wink. He couldn't very well tell her what he did do in his spare time whether it was wooing a girl or talking with Lucius and Bella about the upcoming attack... neither of those were exactly first meeting conversations.
He took her up the first flight of stairs, and let his joke remain as his answer.

"I never underestimate anything, Rabastan. But it is good to know that I can keep you momentarily occupied with new opportunities. I would hate to find out you were bored saving the same old damsels each day that Hogwarts has to offer you."
She walked up the stairwell a few steps ahead of him and her steps were excedingly graceful and her long legs seemed endless as she climbed through the long slit in the back of her skirt. As she reached the top she waited for him to rejoin her.

She purposely let him look.
Rabastan realized this as he hung back, climbing the stairs. She had moved in front of him and all of that so that he could look, and he knew it. This caused him to raise an eyebrow. Though he had to admit, he appreciated the view, and his interest was certainly piqued.
"Yes, a new damsel is always interesting," he murmured, his thoughts not even on the conversation anymore.
"What year did you say you were?"

Once they were both on top of the stairs she turned towards him and looked at him with an eyebrow raised, "I don't believe I said I was in a year" she spoke softly and husky, just short of being coy. She didn't do coy, even for handsome guys like him, and he certainly was handsome. She gave him a look with her eyes like liquid fire as she trialed her gaze from his legs to his eyes, and her eyes seemed to show her silent approval.

He had to remind himself to keep his jaw from dropping. Did she just...? She had just appraised him.
Well, damn right there was approval there. He wasn't quite used to this, though he wouldn't deny that he was kind of liking it. He just suddenly didn't know what to make of her.
"You did say you were a Durmstrang transfer, didn't you?"

"I went to Durmstrang, yes." She acknowledged the part she wanted to, she had never said she was a transfer student. She wondered how long it would take him to figure out. She had a habit of making people believe what they wanted to hear without ever having to say anything but the truth. She wasn't adverse to lying but it was much more fun this way, twisting the truth was vastly more interesting to see how a persons mind wanted to interpret things.
She wondered if there was more to him than just a nice body and a face that could seduce an angel. It would be a shame if that was all there was to him. Her tongue darted out to moisten her naturally red lips before she smiled seductively again, though the motion was not planned but rather a bit more habitual.

"You're not a student."
It wasn't a question, but more of a statement as he realized what she wasn't saying. She wouldn't give her year, and she said she went to Drmstrang. Which meant she didn't anymore. Not that he minded.
"Mind if I ask why you're looking for the Defense room?"

She gave a slightly wicked grin. "You're not too slow after all then, maybe there's more to you than looks after all. But you're right, I'm not a student. And I'm looking for Bellatrix Black. Do you know her?" It was a genuine question, she hadn't attempted to get in his head just yet, she would save that for when he posed more of a challenge.

He gave her a look for the commet about being more than just something pretty to look at. He should have been flattered, but he took offense at it.
"I know her," he said, still walking with her. "She's the teaching assistant for that class," he added. Was she another assistant? There were so many new teachers lately that it wouldn't surprise him if there was going to be a surge of assistants as well.
