Augustus rolled his eyes. Constant Villigence. He swore, if he heard that one more time... He entertained the thought of just how villigent the man could be if eyes were torn out.
He let his eyes wander to the Hufflepuff as Alastor caught her attention, though he kept focus on the other three girls as well. Watching their reactions would be more informative than listening to what one girl was saying about herself.

Alice had the feeling someone was watching her, but it seemed two people had started looking at her... the ministry guy and Sam. She sighed.. she just wanted to get this part over with. She was happy to be a champion, thrilled in fact but she also was very much aware of the danger that was truely a part of it. Something she wondered if the other three had forgot about in their excitement to prove themselves to their fellow student.
Alice had also wanted to prove herself. But only as a challenge to know what she could do, that she could be the best. If she could take down this challenge perhaps she would be good enough to be accepted as an Auror.. and maybe one day... She looked at Alastor. He was a good man regardless of his gruff behavior sometimes, she liked him and hoped that one day she'd have the honor to work beside him one day.

Alastor beamed at the young Prewett as he leaned in close to whisper quietly into her ear. "Always remember...Constant Vigilance girl." Stepping back noticed the Hufflepuff champion standing not too far off. "Hrm...Miss Borale is it? So tell me what are your aspirations for a career once you leave these hallowed halls?" He stepped around Alice to get a better view of the young witch. Maxi thought about her answer for a moment before answering. "Well, I'm not entirely sure, Mr. Moody," Maxi answered truthfully. "But I have been entertaining the idea of becomming a writer for the Daly Prophet lately." She had been thinking about this choice in a career, but she was entertaining many other ideas as well. She was only 15 after all.

Alastor eyed the young Hufflepuff warily, as he nodded at her idea of a possible profession. "Well, you have a few years yet to decide." Forcing a smile he quickly turned his head unable to keep it for long, Alastor thought about as much of the Daily Prophet as he did those who practiced the Dark Arts.
The lies and rumors spread by the putrid publication more often than not, made Alastor's job a whole lot harder than it already was. Turning his attention back to the Slytherin champion he noticed that she seemed to be lost in a world of her own. "How about you Miss Montgomery? Any thought into what career you might pursue once you graduate?"

Samantha took her time to smile at Moody and lower her lashes properly demure before answering, "I hope to honor my Mother and Father by continuing their legends." she said softly though she was talking about immense power.
Her mother's magazine was an excellent source for what was "in" for fashion, for customs, for dances, for anything really. Contrary to the Daily Prophet however, her mother's magazine published the truth, but hardly anything of importance concerning the war. It was mainly society news, marriages, showcasings building up the community instead of tearing it down.
Her father's company wielded even more power financially although perhaps not too much within society, however her father did have his extremely influential associates.
Then the Elder Company had it's roots so deeply into society that the Name Montgomery would never be shunned or outcasted.
All three had their usefullness and all three would go to Sam.

Alice shifted in her chair. She wondered what they were going to do now, if Dumbledore would come in and tell them something about what they would be doing or what to expect or .. rules.. something surely.
Alice thought vaguely that Sam was a little too full of herself. A legend? oh please. But Alice just looked towards the door and waited.

Sam had been humble herself, all her praise went towards her parents, and while she felt her father earned it she'd rather tell the world what vicious monster her mother was, still that wouldn't do. She was programmed to say this and do that, and so when her future was concerned she was just happy to say that she wasn't going to marry someone and hang on their arm for the rest of her life.
