Maxi and Gage came into Transfiguration and suddenly felt a wave of heat.

"It's a beach!" Maxi said excitedly, sweet! She pulled out her wand and pointed it at her robes, turning them into a pair of brown board shorts and a pink tank top. Then she looked at Gage. "Want some help with clothes?"

Gage looked out and saw the beach before him. He smiled, but it faltered a bit. The beach reminded him of the beach-town he lived in back in California and he was reminded, yet again, of how much he missed it.

"Yes please," he said to Maxi, stretching back on his signature smile. He let Maxi transform his robes into a pair of blue board shorts and a white t-shirt. "Thanks Max"

She smiled at him, "Come here." she ordered with a small shake of her head, regardless if he tutored her in potions, she'd have him able to make an umbrella, she took his wrist lightly with her hands and rotated it then added the propper jab with just the right force, "Your pronunciation was perfect, " she said encouragingly because when she started transfiguration she butchered the words, " But you put the emphasis on the end. Try it." she said sitting back and waiting for a second attempt.

He did as she suggested, it was a little uncomfortable, he wasn't used to limp wristed wand waves. It lacked elegance from him, but his umbrella did take on a more composed form.
"At this rate, you should be teaching, at least you are."

[Samantha Montgomery]

Sam didn't realize that Nikita had her eye on them though she looked back at the professor who seemingly was studying something else, she wondered however how observant her professor was.

She shrugged at Severus, " There, that looks more like an umbrella already." she said pride in her voice, she hadn't taught anybody how to do anything just out of the "goodness" of her heart...well ever she didn't think. It felt strangely, pleasurable.

[Severus Snape]

Severus smiled and adjusted his umbrella. He wondered briefly if Transfiguration had a common root in a sort of alchemy. It was changing one thing into another... "Hey, Montgomery. Do you think Transfiguration is the result of trying a less complex form of alchemy on everyday objects instead of base metals?" he picked his feet off the hot sand and swiped away some of the sand that had stuck on. His feet felt tender and unhappy. 'I should get out more...This is the first time I've ever been on a beach, even a fake one' he though sadly. He looked out on the sands at the fake world created in class. It was very sad that this had to be his first glimpse of a world he hadn't ever seen, nor had any real hopes of seeing. probably like seeing heaven when you were damned.

[Seth Inophen]

Seth ran into the classroom, slammed into Gage's back, and fell on sand instead of the floor. "What the..." he said, bewildered. He looked up at Maxi and Gage, both wearing board shorts and shirts instead of their regular school robes. "Did i miss something?" he asked, getting a hand up from Gage.

[Eve Mallory]

Eve entered the room quietly her nose in a book as usual when she felt the floor shift beneath her feet and stopped to look around, "Oh...Oh my." she blinked.

"How very peculiar and...Hot." she announced. Oh dear...to take off her robe would be to reveal her pijamas and that she simply could not do. She wore a white tanktop with matching white shorts, and unlike the large oversize robe she wore her pijamas were very snug and form fitting.

[Samantha Montgomery]

Sam shrugged, "I've never thought of it that way, but now that you mention it...I'd say so yes." Sam answered Severus and glanced again at his umbrella then to his poor abused feet, the boy didn't get much sun that was obvious.

[erich]

Running pell mell into the classroom to avoid being too late, the sand came as a surprise to the sometimes timid Gryffindor and he suddenly found himself face first in the hot sand with the person he'd just run into lying underneath him. As if it was a particularly funny joke, Erich stood up and hefted his classmate back up by their robes. They, too, had obviously been momentarily stunned by the sudden change of classroom. "Sorry 'bout that." Letting go of the stunned classmate, Erich turned back to the sand and frowned slightly. Was he in the right class?
Another look around. Snivellus sitting with Samantha. Professor Long.... In a bikini? Gage Oliver standing with his friend who Erich didn't know the name of. Yep, this was his class.

"Not bad." He muttered mostly to himself, but got an approving nod from the same student he'd barreled over. Erich looked down at his robes and realized he was starting to get hot. Noting that robes weren't the attire suited for a beach, Erich stripped off his school clothes until his muggle board shorts were the only thing left. He didn't care for shirts, but had the toned body to show off as well.
Stowing the discarded clothes in his bag and pulled out wand before pocketing it.

"So what's the plan Stan? Bury Snivels in hot sand?" Erich had adopted the name that James and Sirius used for Severus, and also their unnatural dislike for him as well. "Hmm... or we could build a sand castle on his face." Erich made a point of not being quiet, he didn't care who heard him.

[Nikita Long]

This was to be a three week lesson, perhaps even four as students would be demonstrating skills used for everyday life. Before when no one was in the classroom Nikita had been sunning herself but was properly dressed, or at least modestly dressed now that her students were there. She instructed everyone to pretty much follow by example changing into whatever they could transfigure and making themselves comfortable.

She was waiting for the class to get full before she began and was silently observing them, she also took note of the older students helping the younger students and silently marked points for such behavior, while taking attendance.

[Alice Prewett]

Alice finally walked into classroom she wasn't late she knew but it was cutting it close. She'd been walking slowly and took in the room's new beach theme before raising an eyebrow at everyone's attire. "Hey Erich!" Alice smiled to one of her cousins... it was frightening how many other students she was related to when you really looked at the family tree.. though Erich was several generations removed he was still a cousin as much as Andromeda and the rest. Only two of her black cousins were actually first cousins, Sirius and Reg, and three Prewett first cousins of course but they weren't in school any more. In a family like hers, you were bound to find a cousin or two anywhere you went in Hogwarts.

"leave poor Snape alone, what'd he ever do to you boys I'll never know." Alice sighed at Erich with affection and finally noticed the mousy girl he had helped up from the sand.

Alice waved her wand and transfigured her robes and under clothing into a sturdy pair of shorts and a tank top. It was one thing to be cool and another thing to look like she was trying to expose her skin for all to view. She noticed that Erich had already stripped down to his skivvies and rolled her eyes, boys. However she felt sorry for the Hufflepuff girl who was still wearing her robes. "You need help transfiguring to some more suitable clothes?" Alice asked Eve offering her help.

[Eve Mallory]

"What?" she asked being spoken to, she didn't even notice Alice at first, but when she offered to help change Eve's clothes Eve sighed, "No I'm fine." and she was, she could change her own clothes she simply hadn't yet. Though the girl was just being nice, she probably assumed that because Eve was small that she was a first or second year, it would always be like this she lamented.

[Lance Jordan]

Lance ran down the hall trying to catch up to Eve but by the time he managed to catch her she was already in the classroom and dusting off sand from her robes. "Hey Eve! I tried to catch you but you didn't hear me I guess." It was one of the classes he shared with Eve but not with Genevieve so although he missed not having Viv in class with him it gave him a chance to concentrate on the other girl he liked, one of his best childhood friends, Eve.

He stood at the doorway that had become suddenly crowded with students. A day spent in this heat in a black robe was definitely not looking appealing and although he could transfigure clothing it still took some concentration to keep up and was easier to just do it the old fashioned way. Luckily he'd been wearing black shorts and a white shirt under his clothes and he took the easy way out and just pulled off the extras and shoved them into his bag so that he stood there in his black shorts while he waited for Eve to reply.

[erich]

Erich turned around when his name was mention and smiled when he saw it was Alice. Along the same line as her thoughts, it was nearly impossible to be in the a class at Hogwarts and not have a cousin if you were a Black. Erich felt sorry for whoever tried to map their family tree... really sorry.

When Alice stuck up for Snape, he scrunched his nose and laughed when she asked what he'd done. "As Sirius and James so constantly say: being alive. Although for me it's more to do with potions." Erich loved making new potions and suddenly remembered the one he was currently in the middle of making.

[Maxi Borale]

Maxi saw Seth fall down and laughed. "Nice Seth," she said. "And just transfigure your clothes into something suitable, I have a feeling this wont all be sun baithing," Maxi warned the boys. She left them to change and walked over to another girl in her house.

"Eve right?" Maxi asked. She had trouble with names. "Are you going to change?"

[Eve Mallory]

She turned and smiled brightly at that familiar voice. Being with Lance in this class was great, kind of like old times. She knew she came second to Genevieve, but to no one else and that was okay to her.

"You're late." she announced, "Quidditch run over long or was it the alarm that didn't go off?" she asked wondering what his excuse was not caring that she had been late as well, " I'm glad you're here."

When Maxi called her she had another hesitant smile, she was friendly but mostly only to her friends, she shrugged, " I'm not sure yet." she answered hesitantly, she didn't know what to wear really that wouldn've been worse than her robes. She didn't like her small frame she thought she still looked like a little girl and so she hid in sweatshirts or her robes.

[Lance Jordan]

"and miss a chance to be with you? not a chance Eva. And yeah.. quidditch practice ran a bit long this morning but I came as fast as I could. Even got myself a note of excuse!" he said pulling it out. Lance only called her Eva when Josh wasn't around and grinned, no need to let Josh know he had feelings for Eve too after all especially since Josh seemed to like her more than Genevieve. He leaned in to whisper in her ear, "still got yer pj's on?" This wasn't the first time she'd not cared to put on other things underneath as he'd discovered several times over the years on the few occasions he'd had a chance and the odd part was that he couldn't understand why she hid herself in baggy things. In the last few years she'd changed quite a bit though he was sure she was still in denial, she actually had started filling out some curves. He couldn't wait to see her in something that showed it off.

[Eve Mallory]

He was quite right actually, beneath her baggy clothes, which contrary to Eve's thinking made her look even smaller, she had filled out just fine just for her age. Her curves were proportionate to her body and it had been so long since she really looked at herself to figure it out.

She blushed prettily, " Yes I do..." she bit her lip, then smiled up at him, "Will you hold my robe up for me?" she asked, if she had a curtain that would be helpful.

She clucked her tongue when he called her Eva, " Josh is going to get you one day for doing that." she grinned, she loved it when Josh called her Eva, and she still felt special when Lance did it too, although she didn't know if it was to make her feel special or if it was to tease his brother either way the thought that Josh might *not* like it if Lance called her his name was slightly thrilling. She inwardly rolled her eyes, she was acting like such a girl

[Lance Jordan]

Lance winked at Eve knowingly when she admitted to her little habit that he already knew she'd been doing by the way she had still been wearing her robes in this heat. However he obliged her request to help hide her while she changed. He knew she was shy and it was endearing. "Better yet how about this?" Lance concentrated while saying an incantation and flicking his wand and created an orange curtain for her to change inside of. He'd meant to make it hufflepuff yellow but it had come out orange instead. Oh well good enough he thought to himself shrugging inwardly.

When he heard her cluck her tongue he grinned wider at her knowing she was chastising him for calling her Eva. She always did that, but he really did like her and it wasn't just because Josh did it.. it was because of Josh that he DIDNT do it when his brother could hear. But Eve would never know that of course and he wasn't gonna tell her that as long as Josh was interested in her. Besides her really did like Viv just a bit more anyways and in his mind it all worked out fairly well in the end.

[Eve Mallory]

Eve waited for his spell before a curtain circled around her she turned in a circle and followed it, "Neat, thanks Lance." She dropped her robe and sighed in relief. But what to change into? Summoning herself a large tshirt over a bathingsuit and some shorts. The only problem was the shirt came to her knees so it looked like she wasn't wearing anything else. Still she jumped out of the curtain and hugged him, "You're the best!"

[Lance Jordan]

Lance blushed when Eve hugged him, he knew it cause his ears were burning and that usually meant they were red. Then he looked at her and swallowed, was she wearing just a t-shirt and .. oh boy her legs were showing. He hoped that Josh didn't walk in to see this, but she felt good hugging him too. He held her just a little longer than necessary before letting her go. She was one of his best friend after all, but that didn't mean he couldn't enjoy it when she actually gave him a chance without Josh around.

"You're welcome Eva, anything for you." After he responded and she stopped hugging him he got rid of the curtain and grabbed her hand to drag her over to where some of the other students were gathering.
