Adele wasn't sure what to do for the next couple of hours. Dorian was still in his seat, but he was watching Adele and Sam and making devil may care faces when either one of them looked up. It was frustrating.

Caleb glanced up from what he was doing and frowned to find Adele looking frustrated, if his own frustration wasn't mounting he would have asked her what was wrong, he probably would have remembered that she was in ravenclaw, and therefore a book worm, and had probably already read the whole book, but seeing as how he was frustrated, "Miss Graham, is there a reason you aren't reading?"

Adele looked up, unaware of the heated gaze that she leveled him with. Her voice was polite, however, when she replied to him.
"I finished the chapter. In fact, I've finished every chapter in the book."
Well, it was mostly polite.

"Then why, praytell, Miss Graham, do you bother coming to this class at all? I'm sure that everything you need to know, for your exams at least, will be in the book, certainly you don't enjoy the extra homework?" he heared the irritation in his own voice and waved off the question he had just asked her, " If you've already read the chapter you're free to go, there's no point in you staying just to sit there."

She was already packing her things before he told her she was free to go. The nerve! This wasn't a reading class. They were suppose to *do* things, and it was ridiculous that he'd tell her just not to show up anymore. Well fine, she wouldn't. Maybe he'd get lucky and Dorian wouldn't show, either, or the other girls, so next time he could spend the class period fornicating with the fifth year transfer.
"I bother coming to class because I assume you're going to give us a practical lesson. Silly me. I won't *bother* showing up again until exam time, though."
She didn't want to think about how tightly her fingers clenched around her things. She looked at Sam.
"Keep the book. I won't be needing it anymore."

Sam raised her eyebrows at Adele's fierce behavior, Merlin, did everyone just pick on her brother like this? She was instantly defensive and handed the book back, " It's fine I can get my own." she said lifting her chin in the air.
She wasn't that proud of her brother either for snapping but considering what Dorian had said it was understandable, but why was this girl acting so out of hand as well?

Surprised and unsure of what the hell was going on clenched his jaw tightly, he wouldn't lose it in front of his sister, or Dorian, and not in front of Adele, no matter how much she was getting to him, what was her problem today?
"In that case Miss Graham you can see me privately for your assignments and turn them in on your own time, I would hate to bore such a well rounded student who obviously has better things to do with her time."

Adele took the book from Sam, not even bothering to put it in her bag. She just wanted out of the room, out of his presence, away from the girl who stole his attention. She couldn't blame him though. Every other guy in the school pined for Samantha, why not the professor as well?
She shook her head and set the book back near Samantha. "It's yours. I'm dropping the class."
She gave him one last look, and turned on her heel, leaving the classroom. It had been his suggestion that she not come back, anyway, so he had no right to make her feel like he was.

Fine let her drop the class, what the hell did he care anyway? This whole day had been a disaster, well not Sam. Sam wasn't a disaster, especially the way she was looking at him now and then Adele as if she would tear the girl limb from limb if he asked it. That put a small smile on his face...but Adele...
He hadn't suggested she drop the class, but it was common enough for there to be miscommunication between them, it seemed they couldn't have a decent conversation without there being some upset all things considered. There were several miscommunications that had just happened but this time his pride and the fact that he knew he had done nothing wrong prevented him from stopping her.
"Just a moment, Miss Graham, You'll need a form first in order to drop the class." Caleb announced getting something from his desk, he signed it and handed it to her daring her to take it his eyes staring into hers with a challenge.

Adele turned and met his eyes. She might have melted under another circumstance, but the challange in his eyes made her angry, and she was going to meet it. The fire in her eyes was the most animated anyone had seen her in a while.
She stepped briskly back to his desk and took the paper from him. "I'll fill it out and make sure that Professor Dumbledore gets it by the end of the day," she told him, her voice low, a way of telling him she was rising to whatever his damned challange was.

Caleb wasn't a player, he didn't know how to stir girls interest and use them then break it off, he didn't really have much time for girls at all, but his next move was pure ruthlessness on a scale that was impressive to Sam as well.
One moment he was challenging her fiercely as if her daring to leave him was the greatest slight in his life, she had evoked high emotions, and the next his face was flat, as if he didn't care, "Have a good day Miss Graham." he said then returned to his book without even glancing up at her.

And Adele wanted to slap him.
"You too," she said, folding the parchment in half and putting it in her bag. It would be better if she walked away. He couldn't interfer anymore... she had already told him too much about her life anyway. And this hot and cold that they couldn't seem to overcome would be over.
Without another word, she was gone.

Dorian whistled when the door closed and Adele was gone. Making the opposite sex frenzied seemed to run in the family.
With a keen eye on the professor, he offhandedly commented on the scene. "Man, what's her problem, hm?"

Sam's mouth hung open just a little at the scene before her, she hadn't seen Caleb acting like that before, pretty much ever, well except sometimes with her, but she was different, they were obligated to one another to annoy eachother and get on eachother's nerves, but whatever just happened between Adele and her brother was fire and it surprised Sam.
When Dorian spoke she looked at him and tilted her head trying to reassess what she knew about him, her brow furrowed in confusion for a moment but it was gone a second later with a sigh.

Caleb didn't respond to Dorian, the kid was in enough trouble in his book and he didn't want to deal with him, he was this close to splitting the kids' jaw open he was so angry, and he didn't know why. Well yes, he knew why, it was just that he never got this excited before and it was a strange feeling having Adele walk out on him.

When the class was finish he dismissed it quietly and even let Dorian off the hook he didn't want to talk to the kid at all.
