Sam sighed out a large breath and turned towards the front of the room. What did the girl know anyway? She was probably just defending Dorian because she liked him herself. Rolling her eyes inwardly she waited for her brother and Dorian to return. She saw now what problems not telling people that Caleb was her brother would cause and realized it wasn't worth it.

Caleb led him to an empty class room and shut the door behind them, he didn't offer Dorian a seat instead he turned with a heated glare at the kid and circled him until Dorian stood at the door, " That was a very unpleasant thing you insinuated back there Mr. Knight." he began. "Now I know you think I'm a teacher and I'm supposed to be upstanding and perplexed when a kid mouthes off to me, You forget, I'm only a few years older than you and just at the bullying age where you're concerned, if you thought about it. Now I am a reasonable and mature man, if I wasn't I wouldn't have gotten this job, but there are all sorts of things that can push a man over the edge and I'm going to let you in on a little secret." he said flexing his fingers, " Calling my baby sister a whore is one of them."
His jaw clenched, he didn't care that Dorian knew Sam was his sister, the truth was going to come out sooner or later and he didn't like the repercussions of not telling anyone had so far.
"Now...what am I to do to get out my anger?" he asked, " I can't hit you man to man...I'm a teacher, you're a student, I'd be fired...although I assure you it may just be worth it," he said with a level gleam in his eyes, " I can't dock all of Slytherin's points, that would hurt my sister and I doubt that you would really care. I could fail you out of hand...but perhaps that would be too harsh, you didn't know that she was my sister after all. But in all honesty I don't think there's a single punishment I could give you that you would care about." he had that dull look in his eyes of apathy and it angered Caleb more, "So I'm just going to give you a warning this time." his eyes narrowed, " Play nice, or I won't." and with that he turned past him and headed for the door.
"And for whatever reason Sam wishes to keep our siblinghood a secret for now I do try to appease my sister whenever possible, and trust that you'll keep our secret as well...I do so hate to see Sam upset." He left Dorian then free to go back to class or his room, he was appeased now but still angry he realized for the first time there were some disadvantages to being a teacher.

Well... well that threw him off. Siblings was not at all the relationship he had expected out of this.
"I didn't call her a whore," he called after Caleb. Honestly, he hadn't. But the main thought on his mind now was how much fun he could have with this secret. Surely it wouldn't be his fault if rumors of an intimate relationship were to spread?

Caleb wouldn't let it get that far, he was going to tell Sam that they weren't keeping this a secret, and yet how did he tell the girl no? He hadn't been able to ever since she in truth became like a little sister to him, he had worked for her love and now that he had it he didn't want to let her down but this could seriously get problematic quickly.
He didn't answer Dorian, the guy had implied that he was sleeping with his own sister he didn't care how the man thought it was, but he didn't want any loose rumors like that flying.

But there was still something interesting going on. They had different last names.
And then there was Adele's reaction to what seemed to be their relationship. Oh no, he still had fun to have with this.
He followed the professor back to the classroom.

Caleb didn't say anything when he came in, he was calm and as cool as can be except that his voice was flat when he said, "Please turn in your papers then open your books to chapter three read silently until the end of class."

Samantha eyed him suspiciously he looked fine and normal, if it weren't for the raging inferno in his eyes she would never have thought he even talked to Dorian, except she knew that if he hadn't talked to Dorian he would still be gnashing his teeth. She looked back to the door making sure the guy still came back to class, and that Caleb didn't kill him.
Sam was disgusted by the fact that she didn't have a book and the only other people in the class from whom she could ask were the moron who had insulted her, and the other moron who liked and defended the moron who insulted her.

Adele turned in her paper, and jumped slightly when Dorian was right behind her.
"Are you kidding me?" She hissed in a whisper when he sat next to her. "Why aren't you sitting with your new conquest over there?"

Dorian grinned widely. "Evidentally," he whispered, loud enough for just Adele to hear, "I insinuated that Renneau's girlfriend is a slag. Not quite what I had meant, but it sent Renneau off the deep end."
His eyes narrowed slightly, and he watched Adele for a reaction to this.

Adele rolled her eyes. "Come off it," she said. "You've pissed him off enough that we're reading for the next two hours. Can you do any more?"
She pulled out her book and opened it to the assigned chapter. "No, don't answer that. You'll end up getting me in detention with you."

Sam looked over to where Dorian chose to sit, she didn't know her eyes looked as if they might cry, because she hadn't the inclination, she didn't know that she *looked* hurt because she wasn't, she was angry though, very angry.
To make matters worse the only people with books were on the other end of the room and she didn't want to share with either of them.
She looked back out through the window and thought of home.

Dorian was lucky that Caleb was far away enough not to hear him, he was still angry, with himself, with Sam, and definitely with Dorian.
Why did she really want to keep it a secret? Was she ashamed of him? He didn't come from money but he was a good brother.

Adele finally closed her book, not liking Dorian's proximity.
"Professor... would it be possible for me to *read* elsewhere?"

Caleb looked up from his own reading to hear Adele's question and narrowed his eyes at Dorian's presence behind her. He wanted to simply hit the kid and have it all over with, although he supposed as a teacher he should have been above that.
"You may move to another seat Miss Graham, and You may meet me after class Mr. Knight."

Samantha glanced over at Dorian, wondering again what caused his comments. If he was trying to get into her pants he was going about it in a very peculiar way. She couldn't help but be slightly fascinated with his devil may care tongue, or perhaps she was fascinated in general, though she couldn't really tell, she never had much interest in men before.

Adele slammed her book shut, giving Ryan a very dirty look as she gathered her things and moved to the back of the room. Honestly, she didn't know what Renneau planned on saying to him. Ryan was so bloody apathetic about everything that it made her want to scream.
And she was angry at the professor too, although she knew, even in her head, that her anger was not justified. So what if he was having an affair with a student? His relationships were none of her business.
Except that the unwanted butterflies in her stomach told her that she wanted them to be her business.

Sam hated to do it but she looked like a fool sitting there doing nothing. She got up and moved to the back of the class, "May I share your book with you, I havn't gotten my supplies yet." she asked before sitting down.

Caleb eyed his sister's move as well and wondered at that. His sister talking to Adele, well actually he didn't mind that, in fact he rather liked the thought of those two becoming friends, because his sister other than his mother was the most important woman in the world to him, and Adele, well she was...she was Adele.

Adele sighed. "I can't really focus on reading right now," she told Sam, almost defeated. "You can have the book for the period. Frankly, it's a waste of time reading in class." She kept quiet the fact that she had already read the book in its entirety.

Sam gave her a look, but nodded her thanks sat down and began reading. For whatever reason Adele seemed more annoyed than Sam, which was utterly ridiculous, she was the one who was insulted, but it didn't matter. Sam could read until she got crosseyed if it would help her avoid the tension in the room.
