Bellatrix had promised Narcissa that they would get together to discuss wedding ideas. And Rodolphus was expecting her to do this soon. He was getting suspicious of Bella's intentions. So Bellatrix gathered together a few wedding books that had mysteriously been delivered to her apartment. She assumed Rodolphus had sent them, but it could also have been her mother. They could both be so pushy.
The books were in a small stack on the table in front of her as she waited outside a little teashop for Narcissa. She had ordered a cuppa tea but it was too hot so she was letting it cool, watching the little swirls of steam vanish into thin air. She drummed her fingers rhythmically on the books as she waited for Narcissa and the impending nauseating planning ahead of her.

Narcissa locked up her books that she was finished with. Last night, she had begun to look through wedding books that her mother sent. Her mother wanted everything to hurry to be planned with. She had also received a letter that explained to her how happy her parents were with her for getting married to Lucius in June.
Sure, Cissa was excited, but she didn't want her mother to plan everything. She wanted a say in what was going on. After all, you only get married once. At least that what Cissa was planning on. She couldn't see herself getting married to anyone else.
Tucking the book underneath her arm, she made her way to Diagon Alley to meet with her sister. Cissa knew that Bella wasn't too keen on planning a wedding. Maybe she would go see Andi later and let her help pick out a few things later on. She knew that Andi would be more excited about it than Bella would be.
Arriving at the meeting place, Cissa sighed and walked over to Bella. "I swear! Mother is driving me crazy," she said taking a seat across from Bella. "Anyway. How are you?"

Her tea had cooled and she was just taking her first sip by the time Narcissa arrived. Bellatrix couldn't help but laugh at her sister's initial greeting. She waited for her to sit before asking, "What's mum done now?" She could only imagine. If their parents were excited about Bellatrix marrying Rodolphus, it was nothing compared to the level of excitement that surrounded Narcissa's marriage to Lucius.

"She sent me a whole package of books! There are about eight of them! Not to mention, she has sent me an owl for the past four days asking have I planned anything out yet. Then she always mentions how excited she is and she leaves 'tips' on what to get." Narcissa groaned and rolled her eyes. "It's been driving me crazy! I sent her a letter back yesterday telling her that I was busy as it was and I work on the wedding when I can. Then today she sends a reply saying that if I wanted she could help me do everything."
Shaking her head, Narcissa ordered a cup of tea as the lady came by. "I told her no, that I was okay and that I wasn't in a rush and I had an idea of what I wanted. Of course you know that is going to probably make her a little angry, but I've gotten to the point where I don't really care at the moment."

"You got a note with your books? That might have been helpful. Here I was thinking Rodolphus had sent them." She thudded her hand on the stack of books. Narcissa had been smart and only brought one of the books. Bellatrix hadn't even cracked the first one and didn't know anything about their contents. She brought them all, hoping they would help when she finally got around to looking through them. "Well at least she cares enough about your marriage to put forth some effort. Of course, it's probably mostly due to dad's influence. He's simply thrilled one of his girls is going to be a Malfoy."
"Let's see if we can't get a good chunk of this done today. Then when mum bothers you tomorrow you can tell her how much you've loved doing this all with me." She grinned at Narcissa with raised eyebrows. "And that there's not much left for her to help with."

"Honestly I don't really want mum to help all that much. You know how she gets. Once she starts she doesn't stop," said Narcissa with a sigh. "I stayed up last night looking through all of those books she sent and I didn't really like anything in them, with an exception to this one. I saw a few things I liked, but I may change my mind."
Cissa pushed a strand of blonde hair from her eyes and looked at her sister. "Don't get me wrong, I love mum and father, but you know what I mean." She smiled and then looked at the load of books Bella had. "I can't agree with you more. Maybe we can go dress shopping tomorrow? Or maybe later today, depending on what we feel like?"

"Oh Cissa, you are going to be so beautiful in a wedding dress. I really am terribly happy for you!" She could easily envision her little sister in a white dress with a flowing train, a crown of flowers around her head. It made her beyond happy to think of Narcissa on her wedding day. She was glad she was able to be a part of it.
She sipped her tea again and looked to the stack of books she had with her. Shrugging, she opened the top book and flipped through it. Horribly tacky, every page. The first section was all about flowers. The pictures were nauseating, so filled with flowers you could barely see the pews or the altar. The second section was nothing but candles. This was less tacky and Bellatrix could imagine using a little from this section. But the way the candles were arranged, all cluttered about on tall holders, multi sized tables, and hanging from the ceiling. It was far too much. Bellatrix shut the book. "I think I'll just let you tell me what to pick Cissa. I trust your judgment more than these books. And mum," she added with a smirk.

Narcissa couldn't help but laugh at Bella's expression as she looked through the book. "That was my first thought when I started looking through mine! It's horrid, isn't it? I don't understand what mum saw in those books." She took a sip of her tea that had finally arrived.
"It's best if we start from scratch I think, that way we know exactly what we are deciding on, and not have to worry about picking something horridly tacky." She scrunched her nose a little, but then smiled. "Thank you Bella, and I also trust your judgment. What colors shall I go with? I'm thinking a touch of white, but not too much. Plus, I want you to help decide on your dress color. I'm not going to make you wear some color you are not comfortable with."

"I don't care so much about the color, as long as its not pink. Please don't make me wear pink. Rodolphus would have a field day if I did." It was the only thing she would ask for in Narciss'a wedding, and she would plead for it if need be. She looked ridiculous in pink. "There's a dress shop down that way," she pointed further down Diagon Alley, past the pointlessly tall, white building that was Gringotts. "We could start there if you'd like."

Narcissa giggled at the thought of Bella in pink. "I wouldn't dare think of putting you in pink! You would look ridiculous, no offense to you. You're just not the 'pink' type." She sighed. "I guess we might as well start there, so that way we can be sure that everything is prefect. Then, we can start on the smaller things."
She put her arm in her sister's as they exited the tea shop and down Diagon Alley. "Thanks for meeting me here Bella. I know that planning something like this isn't your idea of fun, but we'll try to make it as painless as possible."

Locking arms with Narcissa, the two looked like complete opposites. Narcissa was thin and pale. Her sharp features gave off an air of dignity. Bellatrix, on the other hand was darker. Even more so than usual when standing next to her impossibly fair sister. Bella's features were harsh and cruel looking. They were both impossibly beautiful, a Black family trait. It was no wonder a few men gawked at them as they passed.
"Don't be silly Cissa. I'm thrilled to be helping you. It may not be my strong suit, but I couldn't imagine not being here with you." She shifted her bag on her shoulder which housed the pile of pointless books from Mrs Black. "It will be far easier to tell my opinions on your wedding than to plan my own. Oh," she said with a teasing grin, "I've been instructed to out-do your wedding. Rodolphus is so competitive with Lucius." She laughed as they neared the dress shop. In the window was a long lavender colored dress robe, with silver brackets on the front. In the window next to it was a white, princess style dress robe. A long veil was floating over it, draping its material onto the shoulders of the wedding gown. "Once you figure out what you are going to wear, the rest of the details won't matter so much."

Narcissa giggled. "And Lucius with Rodolphus! Although, he doesn't come out and say it." It was ridiculous how men were so competitive with each other!
Cissa eyed the wedding robes in the shop. The one in the window caught her eye, although it seemed a little poofy. "I like the way that one is made, but I think it's a little to poofy," she said commenting on the robes in the window. Narcissa sighed and looked at all the dresses on the racks. She walked over to one seat of the racks. Narcissa flipped through dress after dress, still not satisfied with what she found, until she hit the last one. It was made like the one in the window, however it wasn't near as poofy.
"This one looks perfect!"

Bellatrix laughed. She was glad it wasn't only Rodolphus who was so full of testosterone. Lucius was simply more...reserved than Rodolphus. Bellatrix had often wondered if Lucius wasn't more reserved in other aspects, but knew Narcissa would most likely get embarrassed by such a discussion.
Bellatrix looked over the wedding gowns on a different rack than Narcissa, not liking any whole dress. There were parts of a few that she liked, but she didn't know how it would look all together. But then Narcissa exclaimed that she had found one she liked. "Try it on, Cissa."

Narcissa beamed at her sister. Hopefully this dress would fit perfectly. The lady in the shop came out of no where and ushered her towards the back to try on the dress.
Once she was back there, Cissa closed the curtain to the room so that she could change. She slipped off her current robes and slowly slipped into the wedding one. Taking her time, to make sure that she didn't rip or tear any part of the dress, Cissa finally got it on. She looked in the mirror and she smiled. The length of it would have to be taken up about an inch, but other than that, it was perfect!
Cissa called for Bella as she stepped out of the little room. "What do you think?"

While Narcissa was in the back, Bellatrix continued looking for something that she liked without success. And Narcissa seemed to take forever in the fitting room, so Bellatrix had plenty of time to look. After just one robe shop, Bellatrix decided that she would need to have a wedding robe custom made for her. A few ladies came up to ask if she needed anything, but Bellatrix sent them away with a glare and a sneer. As saleswitches usually were, they were far too happy for Bellatrix to stomach.
Thankfully Narcissa had finished dressing just before yet another saleswitch came to bug Bella. She quickly dodged the woman and headed over to Narcissa. Cissa was gorgeous. And she looked so pleased with the gown she was wearing. "Oh Cissa you look fantastic. Oh, I can't believe my baby sister is getting married!"

Narcissa ran her hands over the fabric of the dress that started to flow a little outwards as she looked at her sister. Still smiling, she glanced down towards the bottom of the dress. "Although I believe I'm going to have it taken up a little bit at the bottom, so that way I can be sure I won't step on the material walking, other than that, I love it!"
She was in awe at the way the robes were made. "I can't believe it either Bella! And I can't believe that you're going to be getting married either!"
A saleswitch came up out of no where and smiled to Narcissa. She looked at the woman, before telling her what she wanted taken up and the saleswitch went right to work experimenting with how much she should take up while Narcissa still stood there.
"Have you found anything that will suit your tastes Bella?"

Bellatrix admired how lovely Narcissa looked as she moved about in the flowing white robes. And she was happy. Bellatrix wished she could be that happy with Rodolphus. She really wanted to be. It was so hard for her, having two men that she actually cared about. It might have seemed like a superficial problem, but it wasn't as though Bellatrix had any issues of real concern. Rich, beautiful, and powerful. Trouble with men was huge for her.
She swallowed hard and looked back toward the racks for a brief moment. "No, I don't think I have. You must have found the only thing worthwhile in this place."

Narcissa glanced to the woman who was still busy with the bottom of her dress. "Well, we can't have that can we? We'll find something to suit your tastes. If we have to get it specially made, then we will," she said looking up. "I don't want you to walk out without something. Plus, the idea of having a specially made dress for you might boost Rodolphus' esteem knowing that." She let out a laugh, then winked.
"What do you say? I'll help you pick something out."

Bellatrix shrugged. Narcissa was right, Rodolphus would love it if she had a gown made specially for her. He would think it meant their wedding was more special than Narcissa and Lucius'. "Oh fine, Cissa. You can be such a hard ass sometimes," she said teasingly. "But we'll finish with your dress first." Bellatrix gathered up the few of the robes that she liked pieces to while Narcissa was having her gown messed with.

In response to her sister's comment Narcissa gave a laugh. She gave a quick glance down to the witch working on her dress and she seemed to speed things up a little bit. The witch was humming something and Cissa raised one of her perfect eyebrows, but didn't comment.
Finally, the witch was finished with adjusting the length of the dress and Narcissa glanced at it in the mirror. Perfect. It was still long enough to just hide her feet, but short enough so she wouldn't step on it. After she disappeared back into the dressing room and carefully slipping out of the gown, she quickly dressed and appeared by Bella's side. "Oh those are lovely," she remarked glancing at the robes Bella held in her hand.
