Andi took a sip of her coffee and nodded quietly. Poor Molly. She'd had terrible luck in love (not that Andi's had been all that great, either, until Ted), and it seemed she was a little insecure. It made her sad, because it seemed that far too many people--Molly included--had no idea just how incredible she really was. But Andi had always thought the same thing about Arthur... that he was so humble and shy that even he underestimated himself. As far as she was concerned, Molly and Arthur were perfectly compatible. But she couldn't say that to Molly, who already thought she was pushing it too much. Well, she could take a hint.
"OK, Molly, I'll back off. Just... please, if he contacts you to ask you out, consider saying yes. And that's all I'm going to say, OK? Consider the subject dropped."

Molly watched Andromeda carefully, the look in her eyes telling her that the conversation on her end had been dropped already, and that she was just barely humoring Andi now.
"All right, fine," she said, waving it off. Arthur was too shy anyway; she didn't think she'd ever hear from him. But it as all right. The drink and the conversation had been nice at the time.
"Tell me more of what's going on in your life, Andi," she said, unwilling to let silence fall for too long, lest Andi think she should fill it with conversation of Arthur again. "I haven't really seen you since you were at the restaurant... and your sisters are vile, by the way, for everything they do."

Andi sighed. So typical of Molly to turn the conversation away from herself. She understood why Molly didn't want to talk about Arthur, but still... There had to be something going on in Molly's life. "It's going good. I mean, besides the scene at the restaurant." She shuddered. "But I have Ted, and we're happy together. And I'm going to start teaching at Hogwarts... Herbology, of all things! Can you believe it? My first class is later today."

"Herbology? Really?"
She felt deflated. Andi was doing enough work for both of them, now. "That's really great. What happened to your Auror work though?" She asked. "Or are you doing both?" Andi was always a bit of an overachiever in her eyes anyway... doing both would actually suit her.
FInally, she smiled at her friend. "Thank Merlin. Our professor was always so boring. Remember him?"

Andi hesitated just a moment. After all, if the teaching job was supposed to be her cover, she really shouldn't be blurting it out to everyone she talked to. But this was Molly, her best friend and cousin. What harm would there be in telling her?
"Well, i guess you could say I'm doing both," she admitted. That sort of glossed over the truth, and seemed a safe enough way to handle it. "It's weird, though... Herbology wasn't really my best subject. But there was the opening, so I just decided to take it. Somehow I got the job, so... there it is. I just hope I don't do a horrible job."

"I'm sure you'll be fine," Molly said, half distractedly. What else could she say? "The students will love you. The always like a younger teacher, you know. And you obviously know enough about Herbology that they hired you."
She leaned back in her seat. "So... Auror, Teacher, new relationship, cat... nasty break off with the family... is there anything you can't handle?" She laughed and gave her cousin a truly sincere smile. "I'm happy for you, Andi. And if there's anything I can do... you know I've always wanted to give Bella a good seeing to."
