Emmeline blushed a little when he mentioned Sirius. Hopefully, that would go unnoticed. Probably didn't help James's ego either. But it wouldn't help if she had a baby crush on two marauders, now would it?
She cracked up when he told her about one of their pranks. "I'd really like to hear some more about you and the marauders. What's it like? Having a family this far from home?"

"It's nice really, to be around Remus, Sirius, and Peter. I don't know how to describe it really, other than I feel better if they're around. Corny I know, but they're like my brothers," James said with a shrug. "You rarely see one of us without the others too far behind." He gave a chuckle. "Of course, the favorite people to pull pranks on, for us, are the Slytherins. So much fun. I remember giving one boils and then his buddy stepped on one of the stink pellets we laid out."

Emmeline listened intently to what he said and watched his face. He lit up so much talking about his friends. She smiled. She was a little jealous. "Yes, I remember that prank. They were out of classes for two days. Mostly out of embarrassment."
She hesitated. "You know, I always see you guys around the edge of the forest and sneaking around statues at school. What exactly do you guys do there?" She watched his face again, this time looking for any signs of tensing or anger.

"So you've been watching us have you," said James with a wicked grin. He winked at her before continuing. "We don't do anything, other than simply admire the artwork. Those statues are just lovely, don't you think? The way someone could make something like that is amazing. And the forest? Well, we just like to look at trees really." James knew that what he said was a load of crap, but he wasn't going to tell just anybody what they actually do.

Emmeline doubled over with laughter. She didn't know what was funnier; the fact that he thought she would believe this crap or the fact that James and his friends would actually be interested in trees and work of art.
"No, I don't watch you guys but I won't pester you about it. You obviously have your secrets. So, what can you tell me about your shenanigans?" She laughed as a little still thinking about trees and statues.

James grinned as she laughed. Once he heard her laugh, he knew that she didn't believe him. "Sure you don't. If you don't watch us, then how come you saw us admiring the artwork and trees?" He raised an eyebrow playfully. "Our shenanigans? Well, we're out to settle to score even with the Slytherins. Plus, it's just for fun at times. If we think of something funny, we find someone who has done something wrong, or someone we don't really like, and try it out."

{{OOC: Sorry it has been so long. But I'm back, for now.}} Emmeline laughed again. James knew she didn't believe him, so she decided to just play along. "Well, of course I noticed. You group is kinda hard to miss. I mean, all the dung bombs and slimy stuff on the statues. It's easy to spot an artist in the making." She shrugged, playing it off like it was his career choice.
"So who do you enjoy playing pranks on the most?" She questioned, hoping she wasn't prying to much.

James gave a slight bow. "Thank miss. It's nice to hear that other people think that we are artist in the making." He laughed. Of course, just about anyone would recognize their artwork from some amateur's.
"Oh that one's easy. Slytherin. They are always a lot of fun. And so is that prissy Hufflepuff, Lockhart. It's a lot of fun anyway you look at it. Just to see the look on their faces! It's priceless! Especially if one of those dung bombs are set off!"
