Norah was furious about what had happened with Kris. She had been just seconds away from finally having what she deserved. And once again, she had been foiled. She spent a few days licking her wounds in the Rusty Nail, plotting her revenge. She had to get back at the Lupins for such humiliation. But how? Once again, she was powerless. And now that they knew about her potion, there was no way she would be able to trick them into taking it.
If only she had some kind of power besides potion making abilities! But what kind of power could she get?
And suddenly, the idea came to her. If she were a werewolf, or, better yet, a vampire, she would be strong enough to get her revenge. And she wouldn't even need to use magic!
So she set out that night in search of vampires who might be willing to turn her. She went to the Leaky Cauldron, and, instead of going inside, she lingered outside in the dark shadows. Here she was more likely to meet a willing vampire...

Delila skipped up the street looking for her mentor, she looked around as she stopped skipping. She saw an older woman and she could hear her heartbeat and knew she was human. She crossed her arms as she stared at the woman wondering why she was there.

Norah rolled her eyes at the silly little girl. It didn't occur to her that the child would be a vampire. Narrowing her eyes, she tried to shoo the girl away with her hands. "Go home, little girl," she said somewhat rudely. "This is no place for children, especially not at this time of night."

Delila was to meet Amanda at the Leaky Cauldron for another night of feeding. Amanda had plans of her own for the start of the night and sent the youngling out to play on her own, with instructions to meet at the pub around midnight. And true to form, as Amanda strolled up the dark street she saw the glistening eyes of her young prodige in the distance.
And much to her suprise there was another with Delila, but the mortal didn't seem to realize she was in the presence of a vampire. That was one good thing about being a child demon; fools wouldn't expect such a young girl to be so wicked.

Delila smiled sickly sweet, her fangs barely showing. "I have no home, I have no parents for that matter." She said in a sickly sweet voice, she hated humans. She thought Vampires should rule the world. Humans were nothing but something to feed on, they weren't worth how they live.

Norah groaned. She had no time for poor pathetic little waifs. With this little brat around, how was she ever going to attract a vampire willing to turn her? "Well, I'm sorry to hear that. But the fact remains, this is not an appropriate time or place for a child. Run along and go beg somewhere else, won't you? I'm trying to meet someone."

"As a matter of fact, my mentor asked me to meet her here, so I am not going anywhere." Delila crossed her arms, she had lost her sickly sweetness about her. She wondered where the elder was, she didn't bother looking around as she figured the woman would show up at some time.

"Your mentor?" Norah replied in a snotty tone. "Oh, great. What, is she teaching you how to walk the streets and sell yourself? Or is she teaching you to pick pockets?" She let out a frustrated huff. "This is useless. I can see I'm not going to get what I want here, so I'll just move on. Have a great... whatever." She turned and began to walk away. Maybe she could trick someone into summoning the Knight Bus for her, so she could go back to Hogsmeade.

"Delila laughed, "No, she teaches me how to kill and feed, though not in that order." She thought this human really was stupid, she was even dumber then other humans. "Do you not know the dangers of the night? The creatures that could kill you? Do you not know that children are victims too?

"Hush, darling," Amanda ordered in a falsely sweet tone, walking swiftly up to her young counterpart and clutching her chilly fingers on the girl's shoulder. "You needn't spoil the evening's surprises for this woman."
Amanda looked over the mortal, something was off about her. But she couldn't yet tell what.

Norah stared at the girl for a moment, then looked to the woman. "Kill? Feed?" she repeated, frowning. "Wait... you're not... Are you vampires? Cause if you are, you're exactly who I was waiting for. I want to become one of you."

Amanda cocked her head and raised an eyebrow. This woman had been waiting for them? To be turned? In all the years Amanda had been undead she had never encountered such a request.
"Become one of us? And why would we oblige to that?" Her grip loosened on Delila's shoulder as her curiosity spread.

Norah frowned. She hadn't expected her to ask that particular question. How was she to convince two vampires to turn her, when it would be so much easier just to kill her? But then, at this point, she really had nothing to live for anyway. Nothing, at least, but her desperate need for revenge.
"Look... I know this sounds crazy, but I need what you can give me. The kind of power I was born without. I may be just a pathetic human, without even the benefit of magical powers to elevate me. I'm just... nothing. Helpless, useless, and betrayed by those I thought cared for me. I know I am capable of much more than this worthless life has given me. But now, I am so powerless I cannot even get revenge against those who wronged me."

Amanda looked at Delila as a clever grin spread across her lips. She turned back to the mortal, who's pleads were unconvincing but giving her an idea. The woman was so desperate, she seemed she would do just about anything for the powers Amanda could give her. "And what incentive would I have, to assist you in such a way?" First with Delila and now this woman, perhaps Amanda could gather a following to overthrow the mortal race. What fun that would be.

Delila had remained silent once Amanda showed up, she had been listening to them talk. She was shocked that the human wanted to be like them, she would do anything to be human again and this human wanted to be like them. Delila rolled her eyes as the human seemed to only want revenge on someone. "Revenge is the only reason you want us to help you? What would we get out of it? Your revenge has nothing to do with us..." she looked up at Amanda, "right?"

Norah frowned. Maybe she would have been better off just going to Greyback instead. He would have understood her need for revenge, and even shared it. How to convince the vampires that it would be in their best interest to help her? "Look, if you'll just do this thing for me, I would be glad to help you in whatever you wanted to do..." she said lamely.

Amanda nodded at her little vampire. The little one was learning quickly. Amanda grinned.
Her attention returned to the mortal as the woman replied feebly. It was a start. And even if she could not control this one as she could Delila, it was one less mortal running around...
She grabbed the woman by the throat and squeezed, her already pale knuckles turning whiter with the force. Her eyes were dark and sinister as she gave a crooked smile. She might just kill the woman instead. Her throat was such a pretty pretty sight beneath Amanda's long, thin fingers.
"Do you know what is needed to become one of us?" She loosened her grip ever so slightly, to allow the woman breath to speak.

Norah struggled to catch her breath, knowing that, no matter what, these were very likely some of the last breaths she would ever take in this lifetime. Either the older vampire would turn her, as she wished, or she would kill her. Either way, life as she knew it was about to end. And although her life wasn't worth very much, she still rather hoped she would be given the chance to begin a new one rather than have it all end here.
"N...no," Norah replied shakily. "How?"

Amanda chuckled at the woman's ignorance. She wanted to be turned, and didn't even know about the process. Just like a stupid mortal.
"Delila," she said kindly, her hand still around the other woman's throat, "would you care to describe it for our friend. Since you're so fresh yourself."

(I'll describe it in the only way I know how... hope it's right...)
Delila looked up at the human. "If we turned you then we would drink almost all your blood until you seem dead..." She trailed off her memory of that night was returning. "Then h.. we would have to give you some of our blood and your body would hurt and shake without you telling it to. You would lay there limp as if dead, but then you would wake up. Wake up to a life without sun, without human food." Delila remembered everything about that night. "The pain makes you feel as if you are in a burning fire... that's how I felt when I was bit."
