Kyle moved slowly toward the cabinet, his wand drawn in front of him. He kept his breathing even and did his best to stay calm. He'd dealt with hundreds of boggarts in his line of work, so this one was no different. But the girl, she had him distracted and on edge. He still wasn't sure what the right answer was, and he didn't want to put anyone in danger because he allowed a vampire to live.
As he reached the cabinet, he called out a spell to unlock the door. It swung open, revealing a giant snake with pointed fangs. It lunged at him and he jumped back, shouting "Riddikulous!" But his concentration was off, and the snake didn't change. It just continued to move toward him, hissing and slithering creepily along the barn floor. He forced himself to picture the snake as a tiny inchworm, moving slowly along the ground. "Riddikulous!"
This time the snake disappeared, and in its place was a tiny inchworm. He watched it a moment, since he'd always found inchworms to be funny, fascinating creatures. As it reared up and seemed to be looking around, he laughed, and the boggart vanished.
Now that this was done, he turned back to look at the girl. "Everything OK over there?" he called.

When the snake appeared some of the closer cows mooed and tried to move away. The sound of racing hearts reached her ears once more and Delila had jumped up and began pacing. Her eyes were wide and she was muttering to herself, she was fussing with herself about if she should attack one of the cows.
Her breathing was ragged and shallow as she ran a hand through her hair. One part of her didn't want to hurt the animal, but the sound of their hearts were still in her ears. "I.... can't fight it any more..."

Kyle walked towards her, then stopped abruptly as he realized what was going on. She was looking at the cow so hungrily, as if she was about to attack it. He supposed he should at least be grateful that she wasn't looking at him that way, but he knew he couldn't allow her to attack the cow, either. If she made a move, he would have to stop her. And stopping her would probably mean... He didn't even want to think about it. He stood, frozen, watching her.

Delila shook her head then ran out of the barn, once outside she hugged herself. She had been fighting it and she didn't want to give in so easily. She hated being a vampire, it was getting harder to fight the thirst and urge to attack. She looked up at the stars, she liked being stronger but she hated the loneliness and the thirst.

When the girl suddenly ran out of the barn, Kyle sprang into action. "Hey, wait!" he called. "Come back!" He ran to the door and then outside. The vampire girl was standing outside, with her arms wrapped around herself. He took a deep breath, approaching her slowly. "Hey, are you OK? Can I help you?"

"I Could hear their hearts racing when they were scared... that's when the thirst is strongest... I can't keep fighting it." Delila said looking up at the stars, it was hard for her to keep fighting and ignoring the urge and thirst. She hugged herself tighter as a cool breeze went by, "I don't know what to do, I really don't know who to trust."

Kyle frowned. If the girl continued to deny herself, she would either snap and unleash a killing spree, or she would die. It was possible for vampires to waste away to nothing if they didn't get blood, but it was very rare. "OK, listen. I can take you to a butcher. They usually have pig's blood stored in their refrigerators. It's close enough to human blood that it should calm your craving and keep you from killing anything for a little while. Then we'll figure out where I can take you that will be safe."
(OOC: At some point, she's going to have to get away from him in order for the scene with Amanda to make sense....)

"No!" Delila dropped her hands to her sides and glared at him. "I know what you will do! You'll lock me up like I'm some kind of animal!" She had hoped he would be someone she could trust but his words proved her wrong. She started running away from him, before she got too far she had shouted, "Just leave me alone!"

Kyle was stunned at her sudden change of mood. He hadn't planned on having her locked up... he just wanted her to be somewhere that she could be safe, and others could be safe from her. As she ran away, he stood motionless for a moment, watching her. He couldn't just let her go, could he? If she killed anyone, he'd never forgive himself for his carelessness and indecision. It would be as good as if he'd killed them himself.
He took off after her. "Wait! Come back! I swear, that's not what I was going to do... I just want to help you!"

Delila ignored him as she continued running, she didn't trust him, how could she? he wasn't like her. She needed to find someone like her, she wanted to find the one that bit her and if she couldn't she would try to find someone that would help her get use to what she was. She lowered her head and ran faster, she hoped she would lose him.

Although Kyle was a fast runner and was in excellent shape, it was near impossible to keep up with a vampire once it started to run. He kept chasing her for as long as he could, but eventually, he could run no more. His lungs were bursting for air and his legs were close to giving out on him. There was just no catching her.
Dammit. He had really screwed this one up. He shouldn't have hesitated... he just should have staked her. Now, if anyone died, it would be his fault. Stupid Kyle, stupid. Why was he always such a fool for a girl in distress?
