Silence. That's all that Louisa could hear. Don't get her wrong, she usually liked silence, but today was different. She needed to escape her thoughts, and to do that she needed noise, or a companion to take her mind off things. The wind was soft, for the season, whispering sweet words to the grass. Words Louisa couldn't hear. The silence was like a knife, sharp. It rung in her ears.
She was sat crossed legged at the lake, leaning against one of the tall oak trees situated there. It was quiet, peaceful and Louisa hated it. She didn't like the quiet at times like this, it was too...deafening, if that even made sense. She missed her family, her mother, sisters, she even missed her father. She felt lost at Hogwarts, what with all the talk of war and Voldemort. That didn't scare her, she wanted to fight. What did, however, scare her was losing her family in the upcoming war. She knew there would be a war, it was unavoidable.
She absentmindedly tucked her hair behind her ear, and stared out across the water, the wind creating small ripples on it's surface. The murky waters gave a certain calmness about the place. It was hard to remain stressed and angry when sat out here. The place was just serene, calm. It wasn't cold, here at the tree, it gave shelter from the wind, and let the weak sun through it's golden leaves. She sighed softly, and waited to see what the day would bring.

Regina finished her homework early and glanced outside. It was a beautiful fall afternoon, much too nice to stay indoors. Luckily Regina didn't trip down any stairs as she made her way out of the castle. She skipped along once she was out of the castle. Looking around the grounds, Regina didn't really see anyone. A slight breeze blew and blew her brown hair everywhere. She gave a sigh and headed towards a tree.
Although, it appeared luck was on Regina's side inside the school, it was against her out here. She wasn't watching the ground and tripped over one of the sticks. Regina managed to end up falling in front of a blond girl. She realized this and immediately started to blush from embarrassment. "I'm so sorry," she replied as she began to sat up. "I didn't mean to disturb you."

Louisa was pulled from her thoughts when a Brown haired, Ravenclaw fell down in front of her. She looked to be the same age as Louisa, and she was sure that she'd seen this girl around before someone. She couldn't be certain though, she might not have.
"Eh, no worries." She said, her tone absent. "You didn't disturb me. Are you okay?" Louisa wasn't mean, well, not really. She was known to be, but this girl had done nothing to her apart from trip over, and Louisa doubted she did it on purpose. People didn't usually purposely trip over, it kinda hurt.

Regina sighed a sigh of relief. This girl didn't start laughing at her like other people would have done. "Yeah. I'm okay. Unfortunately it happens all the time actually," said Regina. "I mean I do watch where I'm going but it's like I am an accident waiting to happen. I thought I was going to be lucky today because I didn't trip inside the school, but I guess the tables turned on me." She blushed red again. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to just go on like that."

Louisa smiled, she was in a good mood today. "Once again, no worries." She said, "it's kinda nice to hear someones voice, instead of silence." She shrugged lightly, "I'm like that. I'm a right klutz. That's why I tend to stay seated." She smiled again as the girl blushed. She had no need to be embarassed. It was normal. People tended to 'babble' when they were nervous. Louisa knew this first hand.

Regina laughed a little. "That's a good idea. Maybe I should start doing that, but knowing me I would find some way to fall over." This girl seemed calm and sort of cool. Regina had seen her some, but never found the voice to really talk to anyone new. "Glad to know that there are more people like that, and it's nice to find someone who wouldn't laugh. I'm Regina. Regina Curry."

Louisa chuckled, "Oh, if you're as bad as me, then yeah, you're buggered, for lack of better words." She said, Louisa managed to fall from anywhere. Off chairs, off counters, she'd usually just...fall to the side when she was sat down as well. Even if she was concentrating on walking. It never worked.
"I'm Louisa." She said, "Louisa Daniels. It's nice to meet yah."

"It's nice to meet you too," replied Regina crossing her legs to sit Indian style on the grass. Maybe now she wouldn't have an accidents. Hopefully a branch or limb wouldn't decide to fall out of the tree or something.
"So Louisa, what house are you in?"

Louisa tilted her head, "Slytherin." She said slowly. She hated house stereotypes. They were unfair. Not all people in Slytherin believed in the dark arts. Jeeze. Eh, stoopid Slytherin's giving them a bad name.
"You're Ravenclaw, right?" Louisa had connections...and she was nosy...and she'd saw Regina in her school robes once...

"That's pretty cool," replied Regina. "And yes, I am a Ravenclaw. You're the first person I've really met that is in Slytherin. I'm guessing that you're a fifth year too?" If Regina had to guess what house Louisa was in, Slytherin would not have been her first guess. Louisa seemed to be pretty cool.

Louisa nodded, "I'm a fifth year." She confirmed, "You may wanna watch out for other Slytherins, they're not the most...friendly people to walk the planet." She knew this from experience. Hell knows why she wanted to be a Slytherin in the first place. "I suppose it's kinda cool, buh Ravenclaw must be a lot better."

"Yeah. I know. One of them purposely tripped me in the hall yesterday," said Regina. "They're usually the ones that laugh anyway, but that's them." She gave a shrug. Regina wasn't one to really judge. "Ravenclaw is pretty cool. We're not all books all the time. We do like to have fun every once in a while."
