OK, since we actually have complete teams for each of the houses, we are going to have Quidditch! I wrote up a schedule, which you can see in the Quidditch Pitch forum. The first match, Gryffindor vs. Ravenclaw, will begin this Thursday, August 3. This should be a good date, as Rori will be back from band camp and it's an odd numbered day, so Anna should be around. Hopefully everyone should be able to join us. If you have a character on either team (and please check the rosters or PM the team captain to make sure you're on the team), please make every effort to be around at some point to take part in the game.
I have a few reminders:
1. If you are Chaser, you don't get to determine if your pass goes through the goal. The Keeper decides that.
2. If you are the Keeper, you can't block every shot... let some go through.
3. If you are the Seeker, don't catch the Snitch right away, and make sure you work well with the other team's Seeker, so that you both have an equal shot.
4. If you are a Beater, for goodness' sake... don't kill anyone with the Beater bat!
5. The Commentator is Gilderoy Lockhart, he can fill in bits of action where ever necessary. Plus I'm quite sure he'll talk a lot about himself as well...
I am not sure how well this will work, so the first game will be an experiment. I would like it to be a fairly unplanned game, and to let things just happen... so let's see how it goes. But please... no fighting! If you have a problem with something, let me know.
Thanks! I'm looking forward to trying this out!
