Bellatrix had left Hogwarts after her interview and apparated back to London. She had nearly settled down in her apartment when she realized she was in desperate need of a stiff drink. The Leaky Cauldron wasn't far from her apartment so she decided to walk there, stewing in her hatred for her sister Andromeda. She couldn't believe how the woman had acted. As if she had done nothing wrong. Like she hadn't disgraced the family, run away, and now try to take Bella's job! It was more than Bella could handle at the moment and by the time she reached the Leaky Cauldron you could practically see the steam coming from her ears.
She headed straight to the bar and demanded a Green Fairy. Promptly the old barman responded, noting the dangerous look in Bella's eyes. She was in no mood to suffer fools today. Receiving her drink she turned around to face the room, taking large gulps as she scanned for someone to torment.

School. That was something that Regulus disliked anyway you looked at it. The reason he hated it? So many people thought that they knew everything and the school itself was tainted. Slipping off school grounds was something he was good at. He needed fresh air and figured that he might as well head towards Diagon Alley. He did need to pick up a few extra quills while he was there. Slipping into the Leaky Cauldron, he gained a few stares from customers since apparently he was the youngest in the place. Regulus didn't care what they thought about him, but at a cute young looking girl, he gave a wink. He walked up to the bar and ordered a butterbeer. Turning to his right, a smirk appeared on his face. "Well, well. Hello love," he said.

Bella turned to see who was speaking with her, as the voice seemed familiar. Regulus. Finally, a Black with some common sense, and just when she needed it most. "Regulus! By Merlin, I'm so glad you're here!" Leaving her glass on the bar, she wrapped her arms tightly around her cousin, giving him a big hug. But she realized that it was the middle of the weekday and they were both in London. She pulled away and looked at him curiously. "Wait, what are you doing here? You didn't get expelled did you?"

Regulus was caught by surprise when Bella's arms went around him. He wasn't expected a greeting like this. His own mother didn't ever really hug him, nor did his father. Regulus hugged Bella back. As she pulled away, he recognized the look on her face and started to grin. "Well, I'll be. One moment you're happy that I'm here, and the next you're questioning my motives as to why I'm here? Ah dear cousin, can't a guy just get out once in awhile? And of course I'm not expelled! Mum and Dad would kill me if I did! I just needed to get away from there and breath in fresher air." Regulus motioned to her drink. "So are you drinking away your problems or something?"

Her upper lip curled and she stared at her cousin. "Don't question my emotions Regulus. I am a woman and thus allowed to turn on a whim." She chuckled as she returned to her drink. "Yes, as a matter of fact, I am. There is no greater answer than that of alcohol. You'll learn that in time, when you're old enough." She laughed again, this time at her underaged cousin. She offered him her glass.

"Apparently so," replied Regulus. He eyed her glass as she offered it to him, and he politely refused. "If I go back to the school with my breath smelling like firewhiskey or any other alcohol, I will more than like have to answer the old fool at school. I honestly don't want to do that." Usually Regulus would have taken the glass, but today he wasn't in the mood to deal with the old fool. He looked back to his cousin. "How is life for you?"

Bellatrix raised her eyebrows as she nodded. She knew exactly how it was when dealing with the crackpot that ran Hogwarts, and she certainly wouldn't want to wish that upon her dear cousin. Now, Andromeda, that was different. She would love to force Andi to sit through the mind numbing hell that was listening to Dumbledore blather on about Merlin knows what. But of course that b*tch would probably enjoy spending time with him. She always was off key.
"Life is...you know... Well, sh*t at the moment if you must know." She took another large sip of her Green Fairy. "I'm sure you know what I'm dealing with. How is it we both ended up with siblings so utterly stupid and thickheaded." Of all her many cousins, she knew Regulus would understand her. After all, Sirius was to Reggie what Andi was to Bella.

"Unfortunately I know exactly what you mean. Sirius, I don't see how he turned out to be the way he is," replied Regulus. "Why must the Blacks of all people have two bad eggs in such a great family? It's ridiculous! I seriously think they must have hit their head or something." He gave a shake of his head and ordered a butterbeer. Regulus didn't understand why Sirius thought things the way he did, nor his cousin Andi. It didn't really make any sense. "You know Bella, I think you have seriously brightened my afternoon! Narcissa brightened my morning by teaching a few Slytherins how to hex people this morning."

"I wish Narcissa would hex Andromeda. That would brighten up my day. The selfish cow..." She mumbled the last part more to herself than to Regulus. Even with nearly a whole glass of Green Fairy she still was furious beyond belief at her muggle loving, blood traitorous sister. Bella turned and ordered another drink as she was just about to finish this one and what an awful thing it would be if she had to go one minute without something to do with her hands. If left alone too long she might just strangle that treacherous whore.

Regulus started to laugh. He was not one to really get along with Andromeda. She was to much like Sirius, such a goody good. Just the thought of them made Regulus' mind whirl. "Who knows, maybe she will. Narcissa does have mood swings occasionally. I mean the other day I snuck up behind her and she started yelling at me for doing so, and then about five minutes later she was talking to me like she wasn't angry. I think she had that special thing that makes me glad that I don't have a sister at times."

Bella laughed too. "Yes, she is quite moody. I often wonder how long Lucius is going to put up with her...Not that I'm much better." She cackled loudly. She turned behind her to the bar where she grabbed her fresh glass and left her first one to be cleaned up by the barkeep.

"Hm. As long as those two have been together, I'm sure he's used to it," replied Regulus. "He wouldn't ask her to marry him if he wasn't used to her little mood swings." He picked up his glass of butterbeer and took a long gulp. "How is ol' what's-his-face? Lestrange?"

Bella rolled her eyes and groaned at the mention of Rodolphus. He was always busy and rarely ever had time for her anymore. And Bella just didn't have the personality allow that. Which was one of the reasons she was always finding other men to occupy her time. Plus, she enjoyed the attention. "Non-existent. I swear, if he wasn't so good in the sack..." she realized she was talking to her eleven year old cousin and changed to conversation. "And what of you? What keeps you busy when you're not ducking out of classes?"

Regulus' eyes slightly widened at Bella's comment, then he started to laugh. He took another gulp of his drink. "Ah, well I'm either practicing to be the best on the quidditch team so that way Slytherin can have the Quidditch Cup time and time again, or I'm trying pass my time away talking with the girls around school. I'm telling you, you say the right words and they'll be following you around like they're lost! Plus, Narcissa and I are planning on how to get the Slytherin's to have the right attitude. I must say there has been a change in them."

"They miss their fearless leader, mio." Bella laughed so hard she nearly fell off her stool. The drinks were definitely getting to her now. Oh, the things Andromeda would say if she saw her getting pissed in front of their little cousin. Even in her inebriated state, Bella couldn't get over what a kill joy Andi was.

Regulus started to laugh once again as Bella nearly fell off her stool. Oh this was a sight. "Well, I think things are starting to get better. I started back talking one of them and they started right back. I was proud actually," he said. He knew that Bella was going to be drunk soon and he would offer to help her to her room or something, after all, Bella was his favorite cousin, other than Narcissa. "You know Bella, you should come back to Hogwarts one day. Maybe to just visit or something."

"Well I did apply for the assistant position with that horrid woman, Professor Rothschild. But of course that b*tch Andromeda did as well. I think she may be up to something..." Bella no longer looked mad at Andromeda. She simply looked pissed, a classy way of going about things. The Dark Lord would be furious if he saw her acting this way. It was somewhat reminiscent of Charles, back when he had the capability of breathing, and drinking.

Regulus crinkled his nose. "You've got to be kidding me," he exclaimed. "I can't imagine Andromeda being a teaching assistant." Regulus finished off his drink. "Wait, yes I can imagine it. Wanting to help the kids. Eh. I honestly hope that she doesn't get the job. Now you on the other hand. You applied to a teaching position with Professor Rothschild? And you say that you think Andromeda is up to something? Ah, dear Bella. Why exactly would you be wanting to have a teaching position? Have you had a change of heart and want to love all children and make them have wonderful lives?"

"Oh please! You know I can't tolerate kids. I barely tolerate you," she joked. Ever since she herself was a small child she couldn't stand to be around children younger than her. And she sincerely hoped Regulus knew better than to think she wanted to assist them now. And even in her unstable state she knew better than to announce her real reason for applying for the teaching assistant position in a crowded room. And since Regulus was too young to join up with the Dark Lord, he didn't need to know anything about it. What if, Merlin forbid, he was detained by aurors and interrogated?! She loved her cousin dearly, but an eleven year old was too vulnerable in the real world. "I'll tell you about that later. If you prove yourself worthy." She winked at him.

Regulus laughed. "Aw, but you tolerate me anyway because you love me dear." He gave her a wink. The thought of Bella actually caring for children and making sure that they knew what they were doing made Regulus laugh harder. "I know you're up to something Bella. You wouldn't just decide to go and teach children. You despise them, and I know you too well." He gave her a fake hurt look. "What, I'm not worthy now?" He grinned. "I'll hold you to that cousin, and I'll prove to you that I am worthy to know whatever you are doing now and what you may do in the future."
