Mystie Glass
Character Name: Mystie Glass
Year: 5th
Preferred House: Slytherin (Not Hufflepuff!)
Strengths Singing, drawing, transfiguration. Also quite pretty.
Weaknesses: Flying. Can pick up on peoples thoughts sometimes because her father tried to break into her mind.
More About Your Character:Brownish-ginger hair, and pale skin. Beautiful greeny-yellow eyes. Short, and of average weight. Naturally beautiful, but doesn't flaunt it. Looks kinda ugly when she smiles. She already has reasonably bad frown lines for her age. She looks very young for her age, and hates it.
Quiet, mysterious, not that great at socializing, and judges on first impressions. She finds it hard to make friends and trust people, and is generally not an easy person to like. She is easy to annoy, and enjoys sweet, sweet, (sweet) revenge. She hates being embarrassed in front of people, even though she does it ALL THE TIME!
She knows that she isn't like the other kids, and she has even taken to have an imaginary friend, but even that has turned against her.
Mystie was born in Surrey, England. She was born into a rich family and both of her parents were Aurors. She grew up in the wizarding family, although she showed no signs of magical powers at all. At the age of 5 her parents realized that she had the power to become a witch, and she was told even more about the wizarding world, and how she would become a part of it. After Mystie had gotten over the shock of it all, she longed to go to Hogwarts to learn magic.
At the age of 7, due to a mix-up at the Ministry of Magic her mother's broom got jinxed before a very long journey. Her mother plunged 10,000 feet into a farmers field half-way through the journey. She, thankfully, survived because she slowed herself down as she fell, but she suffered serious head injuries, and her memory was lost. She went partly insane in St. Mungos, and is, still, to this day, locked up in there. Her father was deeply heartbroken and turned against the Ministry for the accident, and became a Death Eater. Mystie was taken into a rather rubbish (and smelly) Muggle orphanage, run by a greasy old man with no hair.
While she was at the orphange, her father, now with the dark mark burnt on his arm, but in perfectly normal clothing, came to collect Mystie, saying that he was sorry and begging to have her back. After many papers were filled out, he got her home, and started interriorgating her about some sort of incident involving the ministry that she was apparently a part of. Mystie could not give any information, as she had no idea what he was talking about. Her father attempted to break into her mind by using his very bad Occumecy *Sp.?* skills. It went horribly wrong, and Mystie developed a power to sometimes accidentally break into other people's thoughts. She hates this, and really want's to learn to block 'em out.
She escaped the house after about a month, after being abused by her father, and ran back to the orphanage, where she recieved the letter, and had to make her own way to Kings Cross, just in time for her 5th year. After finding out that her father was now locked up in Azkaban through reliable sources, she just says that her parents died doing work for the Ministry if she is asked. It is easier than going into the terrible truth.

Nikki took a sip of her drink and nodded at Mystie.
"Yeah. So... you new? Are you a first year?" She asked, judging by the girl's appearence. This girl seemed nice... even if she did seem a little insane.

Mystie had expected this, and her smile faultered for a split second beore she shook her head calmly.
"Oh, no. I'm not a 1st year, I'm a 5th year. I'm just ... small for my age." She said, she was always being mistaken for being something like half her actual age. At least the girl hadn't said it in a sort of nasty way. She's said it in an off-hand voice. She took her seat back on the bar stool before she heard a familiar voice from behind her.
Wow, Mystie's making friends. Well, there's first time for everything.
It was Shadow, her imaginary ... *cough* friend.
She instantly lost all of her confidence and began to feel agitated by Nikki's presence. She was going going to quickly whisper a threat to Shadow, but became frightened that Nikki would assume that she was a complete weirdo.
Go on then, ignore me. You don't have the brain-power to keep it up for long. Freak ... freak ... freak. It jeered, the shadow dancing around in mid-air, obviously only to be seen out of the corner of Mystie's watering eyes, as everyone else in the room was oblivious to Shadow.
She was finally, possibly, about to make a friend, and Shadow would go and ruin it.
"Shut up!" She almost shouted, covering her ears and closing her eyes. She didn't think about what Nikki might think of this unusual action, and could just hear Shadow jeering and laughing.
"SHUT UP!" She screamed again, tears pricking her eyes.
