Tell a little about your character: If you are looking for a person that would make a good friend, Esme is just one of those people. She loves to have friends, but she has a hard time making them. Most people around her are complete opposites of her, and she finds that a problem when she and the other person try to communicate. Aside from the fact that she and others cannot communicate well because of different, she is somewhat shy when it comes to talking to people that she does not really know. This serves as another problem why she does not make friends easily as well as the reason why she often times has few friends. She does not make friends easily because of her outlook on what a friend should be and what a friend should do. She also has different outlooks on things, and people often time hate her for it.
She is know for her love of working hard and exploring new things when it comes to learning. She will often times suggest more and more work for people to do, causing her classmates to get mad at her. However, she does well in her classes and likes to show off sometimes. She is also known as the teacher's pet and shining star of the class. You can expect to see her talking with teachers more than you will other students. You can also expect her to be the valedictorian for her class. She works as hard as she can in class and does her best, though she often times does not study. Only boredom will lead her to study.
If anyone is in need of help, Esme will be one of the first to offer it unless she is really annoyed at the moment. She will explain things in the best way possible, though it might take a long time because she will either get off track or else she will end up going into too much detail about it. Sometimes her explanations are complicated to understand, so she gives up or asks another person to assist her in her explanations. If a person asks her for the answers, she will sometimes give it to them. She is not really a person that likes to cheat in classes, but if the person is a good friend or she knows the person somewhat well (or does not want to get on their bad side), she gives them the answers. Other people, she will tell them to find the answer for themself.
Isabel contributes a lot to things that she knows a lot about. She will give her biased opinions on various things as well as contribute to whatever she can. She loves being different and shows that she is, even if she breaks rules or does something really stupid to show that. She can sometimes be known for her crazy ways of behavior while with friends (or if she is hyper). She has this side of her that tells herself to follow the rules. But, if she knows that she is right about something and is being told otherwise, she will have a fit and start to go off on the person and argue with them. That is just her nature.
Though she is seemingly kind and caring, she can lose her temper as well. One moment she can be really nice, and the next she can be a major byotch. Sometimes, if a person that annoys her starts talking to her, she will sigh an annoyed sigh and just start telling them off. And the next minute she will pretend like nothing happened. However, most of the time, she is really nice. There are just those moments or days in general that make her mad and upset. isabel does not usually get upset. If someon says something about her, she just shrugs it off saying 'so' or 'I don't care'. She does not let anyone get to her. However, if people start talking about her friends and family, she will have a fit and defend them. She does not like being violent, but if she has to, she will be.
Most people can look at Esme and say that she is quiet and careful. She is not though. She will talk your ears off. Sometimes she talks so fast that she has to be told to slow down. Her accent also gets in the way of communication, which is the reason why she has to simply calm herself down and make herself speak slowly. Though she does not seem like that kind of person, she is. When she is alone with friends, she is completely crazy and opened. She confides in her friends and tries to keep close connections with them.
As for friends, she looks for a few things. She hates people that cannot treat others like equals. People that think they are more than anyone else are people that she refuses to talk to often, only if she has to. She also wants a friend that is honest and loyal and can keep secrets. There is not point in having a friend without these qualities. Esme does not care what the person looks like or their status in society. She just looks for the good qualities as well as a good personality.
As an adult, Esme knows what is right and what is wrong. She will give discipline. However, since she is still somewhat young, she has a way to understand the people around her, young or old. She is willing to listen to a person that has problems, and she is willing to help them to solve the problems.
(I could go on forever about her personality, but I think that I shall stop there)

Esmerelda remembered the day when she was just sitting in her apartment in London when an owl flew through her opened window and had a letter attached to it. She had read it slowly, about three times, to be sure that it was addressed to the correct person as well as to see whether or not it was true or not. She had even done charms to make sure that it was not someone trying to fool her. Finally, after actually believing the letter, she had gotten so excited and sent express owls to her family to tell them the good news - she had gotten the job as the Charms professor at Hogwarts. And then the next thing she remembered, she was apparating to Hogsmeade and entering onto the grounds and rushing up to the office of the headmaster to thank him in person. Afterwards, she had rushed to her office and her Charms classroom in order to set the room up and make it welcoming to the students.
Now, here she was, her first day of teaching. She was still having a hard time trying to believe it, but she figured that the shock of being the one accepted would wear off eventually. After awaking that morning, Esmerelda had stood to look in the mirror. Her hair was a mess and she was still in her bed clothes, but that changed quickly after she had changed into her best robes, which were a light periwinkle color. She then brushed her hair out and then pulled it back into a tight knot in the back of her head. She the left and had breakfast in the great hall quickly before scurrying to her classroom.
Esmerelda approached the door of her classroom and then carefully and easily pushed it opened. She stood in the doorway and admired the room that she had set up for her students. She was pleased with its appearance and how well she had done to get everything situated perfectly.
The tables were all in a large U-shape around the room, leaving the center of the room open for practicing Charms. At the end of the U, almost closing it to make it look like an O, was the teacher's desk, where all of the papers and books were stakced neatly on top of one another. There were several bookshelves that lined the walls. Each shelf was completely full of books in regards to Charms as well as various books that Esmerelda had gotten throughout the years. It was welcoming and well-lit - a perfect place for teaching and a perfect place for learning.
Esmerelda walked into the room completely and over to the desk. She opened her small gradebook where she had all of the students' names listed alphabetically according to last name. She read over them several times to be sure that she could pronounce them all correctly; however, she was going to ask about the pronunciation of a few names since they seemed utterly difficult. She remember a few of the names as well as the faces since she had met them on the grounds as well as gotten a few in trouble for being out of bounds. However, she figured that they would forgive her for doing her job.
She closed the roster and sat it in the center of her desk for later reference. She then pulled another book from the pile on her desk. This one was her lesson plans book. On the several pieces of parchment were words written as lessons. Through quite a few of the words and sentences were scribbles. She had messed up several times, since she loved to change her mind and think of new ideas to make her teaching successful.
After a moment of looking over the classroom roster and lesson plans, Esmerelda looked at the newly cleaned blackboard and smiled to herself. She pulled out her shiny and polished wand and pointed it at the chalk and said a small spell in Spanish. The chalk lifted itself from the tray and started to write, in the professor's own handwriting:
She lowered her wand and admired the writing, which was centered in the middle of the board. She smiled at the thought of it being her classroom and her lessons. She would be able to teach the students what she already knew as well as help them out when they needed it. She knew that all of the students would do great, but there were quite a few that she knew would be brilliant and then there were others that were really into getting good grades, but those people were mostly Ravenclaws.
Esmerelda took a seat at her desk to look over more of her lessons. For some reason, she was nervous. She had no idea why because she was not the nervous type when it came to teaching in front of a group of kids. This group was large, over twenty students, and she was not used to teaching more than about twenty or twenty-five. But she would be after she taught there at Hogwarts. Just as Esmerelda had pulled out papers and started to look over them, she heard a sudden commotion down the corridor.
It was the students all headed off to their classes. Esmerelda knew that there would be several coming into her classroom, so she stood quickly and rushed to the door, holding it opened for the students that filed into the classroom. She gave them each a small smile as they entered. She was just so exicted, and she felt the anxiousness rise into her body as she waited for all of the students to enter the classroom and be seated
