Lucius had loaned her one of his recent additions to his library and since it was currently on the banned books list the Ministry had posted, Bellatrix thought it best if she study in private. And what better place than the Headquarters for the Death Eaters? There were charms, spells, and other securities put in place so that the wrong sort of people couldn't find it, let alone get in. It was the perfect place for peaceful reading.
Bellatrix apparated to the secret location and, with her wand, deactivated the alarms. Instantly the building appeared and Bella headed up to the door. She could hear the charms replacing themselves as she walked into the entry way and shut the door behind her. There were a few people having a chat in the sitting room and, still being somewhat new to the Dark Lord's ranks, she didn't know them. So she wandered further into the building to find a more isolated place to study the hexes within Lucius' book.
In the back of the house she found the sun room. It was bright, and empty. Most of these pathetic excuses for Death Eaters thought themselves too dark and mysterious to enjoy the warmth of such a lovely room. The door was left open, in case the Dark Lord arrived she wanted to be able to hear what was going on in the rest of the house. She crossed to the wicker chair in the corner and sat lightly on the red striped cushion. She set the large book on her lap and opened it to the index. Her finger ran slowly down the contents until she found what she wanted and then flipped to the corresponding page. Curling her legs up under her so that she feet could not be seen under her maroon and gold robes, she began to read.

Logan had been in the corner of the sun room, he only came in the room to be alone and he knew none of the others would want to enter. He smirked when he saw young Bella, he flicked his wand and the door slammed shut. He knew she hadn't noticed him because she seemed to want privacy and if she had seen him she would have spoke.

Bella's head shot up when the door slammed, it had startled her. She looked around for the cause of it and found Logan sitting in the corner of the wall opposite her. She hadn't noticed him before, possibly because he found the most secretive part of the room to lurk in. Once she figured out she was not alone she straightened her posture, placing her feet firmly on the floor and setting her jaw. She inhaled deeply as she shut the book, keeping her right hand on the page as a marker. "Do you mind? Some of us are trying to better ourselves. Something I'm sure you've never thought of." She muttered the last part to herself, though it was loud enough for him to hear.

Logan glared at her, he really hated her, yet there was something about her that deep down he liked. "I think I know more then you, little girl." He wondered why she had to enter the room he chose. "There are other rooms you can read in."

"Well yes I'm sure there are quite a few things you know that I don't. Like where to shop for those ridiculious robes." Bella quickly dog-eared her book and shut it completely. There was a sneer on her face as she leaned back in her seat and pulled her feet up under her. "I think I'm good right here, thank you very much. But you feel free to leave anytime." The truth was that Bell had wandered all over the house and all the rooms decent for reading were already occupied. Of course it appeared this room too was full, but she liked pushing Logan's buttons.

Logan ignored her comments and went back to looking outside, he had been tossing his dagger at the wall but he had got bored of that fast. He never got bored of it when there was a photo of his father. He took his hat off then began tossing it in the air then catching it but he kept an eye on Bella.

Since the oaf had returned to his isolated play Bella returned to her book. Narrowed eyes peers over the pages from time to time, she never really liked Logan and she wasn't about to trust him. He fancied knives too much for that.
Nearly ten minutes had gone by and Bella forgot to check on Logan. Instead she was fully emmersed in her book, currently reading up on an acid throwing spell. Bella looked up from her book and found a meager looking fern in a wicker planter, resting in the corner. No one would care about this plant. Truthfully, she'd be doing the room a favor by pouring acid over it. Bella stood, holding her wand in her right and the book, open to the acid spell's page, in her left. She curled her long fingers over the top of the book, ensuring it wouldn't fall from her palm. She looked back in reference, to make sure she would say the incantation properly.
"Aciduswasi," she said sternly, as she flicked her wrist counter clockwise twice and then thrusted her wand in the direction of the fern. There was a sputtering sound and fern fell over onto its side. But there had been no acid. She clearly had done the spell wrong and she quicly returned to the book to see why it had not worked.

Logan let his hat fall to the floor as he burst out laughing. "What was that suppose to be? An Indian call?" He picked up his hat, dusted it off then placed it on his head, he was still chuckling when he looked at her.

Bellatrix quickly spun around, glaring at Logan. How dare he speak to her like that! Did he not know his place?! Bella stormed across the room, her jaw clenched and eyes focused only on him. "That," she snarled, poking him in the chest, "was my first attempt at a new spell. You see, real witches and wizards have to practice magic. They don't just play around with bloody muggle knives, whining and moaning about their daddy all the time!" She was poking him so hard with her index finger, that it began to hurt her, but that didn't matter. She had to but this buffoon in his place.

Logan grabbed her wrist then stood up, he was taller then her, he was about six foot. "Listen here, missy, you know nothing of me." He tightened his grip on her wrist, "And unless you want to die I'd leave my father out of this, i had no problem killing him so I wouldn't have no problem killing you."

When he sueezed her wrist it hurt. But it wasn't nearly as painful as the sting on her palm when she dropped her book and slapped him square in the face. She pulled away from him the best she could, but he was stronger than she was. "Get your ruddy hands off me you arse!"

Logan pushed her away from him and said through gritted teeth, "You ever slap me again, missy, and you wont have hands to use." He really hated her now, all those feeling he had that liked her had disappeared when she slapped him. He fingered his knife as he glared at her.

"Don't you threaten me you wanker! I'll have you thrown out of here so quick you won't have time to grab your God awful hat." She wanted to hit him again, and she could feel her hand aching to slap him. But instead she pulled her wand on him and attempted the spell once more. This time her wrist movements were exactly perfect and a stream of hot acid flew from the tip of her wand in Logan's direction.

Logan quickly dodged out of the way, the chair he had been in had got hit and the fabric burned and sizzled and smoked.

"Next time you won't be so lucky," she threatened. She kept her wand out as she bent down and scooped up her book, storming out of the room. With a jab of her wand the door slammed shut behind her so hard that the pictures on the wall went crooked.
