Enid entered her classroom slowly. She wasn't as young as she used to be, and she didn't move as quickly. But it felt good to be back at school, ready to teach her young students the fine art of Divination.
She adjusted the lights in the room so that they were soft and inviting, then began to burn some incense to help create the right atmosphere. Then she settled down to await her students.

Bek walked into the classroom and noticed that she was the first student there. "Hello Professor," Bek said with a smile. "Looking forward to class?" she asked politely, taking a seat.

Natalie Speller entered the classroom. She walked slowly because Divination wasn't a favourite subject of hers. Her Parents said she had to do Divination. "Hello Professor, I'm Natalie Speller!"
Natalie looked around and saw that the only other person there was Bek Caldwell, a fellow gryffindor. Natalie headed towards her. "Hey Bek! I don't know if you know me but just incase I'm natalie speller"

"Hey Natalie," Bek smiled. "I met you through Maxi, remember?" she asked.
"Would you like to sit with me?"

Seth walked in and realized that there were only 3 people in the room.
"Hello Professor," Seth smiled before sitting in the table behind Bek and Natalie. "Great weather no?" he added to the girls.

"Hey Ino," Bek said to Seth as Natalie took a seat. "And its wonderful weather, I LOVE sitting in a hot and stuffy classroom." then she turned to Natalie.
"You met Ino right?" she asked.

Lyra climbed up the stairs to the Divination tower, a stuffy little room that the professor never had lit well enough. And today was no exception. The lights were low, presumably Professor Simple thought it was enchanting, but to Lyra it was just a strain to read her text. "Good afternoon Professor," she said as she came through the door. There weren't many student yet, and probably wouldn't be many by the time class started. Divination wasn't the most respectable lesson, but it spoke to Lyra. She was good at it. The only students here were Bek, Natalie, and Seth. The latter being the only one she was on good terms with. "Hey Seth." She took a seat at the table with him.

Renee looked at her schedule one last time, frowning. Beauxbatons had dance classes. Granted, they were an elective, but they were still an option. Hogwarts had no such classes, and she was a little heartbroken over the fact. She also decided she didn't like England. The people she already encountered were crass and had no poise about them at all.
She wasn't stuck up, but she carried herself with grace and pride. It came from the dancing background. Her mother was one of the sweetest people she knew, and she walked the same way. Everyone here just seemed like they didn't care.
She sighed, looking for the classroom she was supposed to be in as a couple of first years ran by her. She was being too judgmental, and she knew it. She needed to give Hogwarts a chance.
In her French accent, she asked a passing student how to get to the Divination Tower, as the staircases kept moving on her. Thanking him for his help, she finally made it, just before the professor clapped her hands to start class, and she settled on a pillow next to a friendly looking girl.
She smiled at the girl and put her bag down by her side.

Savannah didn't mind Divination class. It probably would have surprised most people, but she rather liked the free-form nature of the class, and the fact that it wasn't so structured. She also found it sort of relaxing to sit on a pillow and breathe the aromatic herbs that Professor Simple used to enhance the atmosphere. But most of all, she liked the fact that you could daydream and then pass it off as "having a vision."
She had just settled on her pillow when a girl she didn't recognize caught her eye. "Oh, hello," she said politely. "Are you new here?"

"Oui," Renee said, as if momentarily forgetting that French was not the main language here. "Yes," she corrected herself, though with her accent, the effect was still the same. This would certainly take some getting used to.
"Today is my first day," she clarified, keeping her voice low, though it did not look like class had really started. "My name is Renee," she added somewhat hesitantly, unsure of how people greeted each other here. She was used to just kissing everyone on the cheek, but she didn't see anyone do that here, so she just offered her name, accompanied by a smile.

Savannah's smile was shy, but she gave a polite nod. The proper thing to do would have been to shake hands, but she always felt awkward doing that with fellow students. It seemed more appropriate to do with authority figures. The head nod, however, was sort of a mini version of a curtsy, and it felt appropriate.
"It's nice to meet you, Renee," she said. "My name is Savannah Lyons. If you need help with anything, please, don't hesitate to ask."

"Merci," Renee replied. At least someone was friendly. Most everyone else she had encountered gave her accent one quick listen and decided it would take too much effort to help her. At least, that's what she thought went through their heads. Everyone here was just so crass, and she didn't know how to handle the louder, ruder atmosphere. It was going to take a while to get used to this.
She glanced at the professor, and then back at Savannah. "How is thees class?" she asked, careful to pronounciate her words clearly. She wanted to be warned if the class was difficult and strict.

Ruby entered the tower not dreading the subject like most. She kind of liked being free and she wondered why everyone else hated it.
There were about 6 other people in the room, not including the professor. Ruby hoped she wasn't late. She looked around for a place to sit, most people were using the chairs.

Savannah smiled and cast a quick glance at Professor Simple. "It's quite nice, actually," she replied. "It's not a very structured class; we mostly just sit on the pillows in the front and breathe the incense and try to contact our inner eyes."
It was maybe a bit silly, but Savannah enjoyed the excuse to sit in the relaxing atmosphere and daydream. Sometimes they read tea leaves or looked in crystal balls, but Professor Simple generally believed that the only reliable way to "divine" something was to contact one's Inner Eye, which she maintained that everyone had to some extent. The herbs and incense were supposed to open the channels to the spirit world and make one more receptive to messages from beyond. Or something like that.
Mostly Savannah just allowed her mind to wander and she would say whatever came to her mind.

Ruby was wandering around, and she found a empty bean bag to sit on, next to some other girls. She sat down quitely, hopefully not disturing the class. It had not yet started. Ruby breated a sigh of relief.

Babette rushed up the stairs twisted stair case, into the stuffy, hot room, and sat down as quietly as she could. Class had already started, and Babette was late. Again. The teacher had curly, light red hair, and looked kind of crazy. Babette started looking out the window, and was in awe at how high up the class was. She thought she could almost touch a cloud.
The entire class was either a Gryfindor, a Slytherin, or a Ravenclaw. Babette didn't see a single Hufflepuff in the class. She thought that the colors in the room on the students' cloaks looked kind of like Christmas. Babette giggled to herself, considering she was the only yellow student there. She thought to herself "This should be really fun.".

Ashelia walked in, humming a little tune. she noticed a bunch of people were already there, and a few of them were talking. the social side of her felt like introducing herself. the other side, however, told her not to intrude. afterall, those people didnt know her, and they probably didnt want to be bothered. so Ashelia took a seat in the back and took out a peice of parchment and a sketching pencil. she slowly started scetching a tree with a swing hanging on the lower branch.

Betta sighed as she climbed the ladder that lead up to the Divination classroom, knowing perfectly well what was going to happen when she got up there. The heavy perfume would start making her sneeze, as would the dust and various other sneeze-inducing thins. She hated how she was allergic to perfumes; it made flirting a lot more difficult when she couldn't wear any sort of perfume. Ah, well. C'est la vie. What mattered now was sitting down and getting all of her Divination materials out in order to be ready when class started.
