"Yeah, I had read in a book that they used them in muggle wars to send messages because people would have to go through enemy territory and would get shot or captured." Kris said, she would have to do that some time, find a bird to use.

Lily nodded. "Yes, I read that, too. They trained the pigeons so they could send intelligence back and forth. Pretty clever, those muggles." She laughed slightly, remembering that, only a few years ago, she had pretty much been a muggle herself.
