Kris felt like they had forgot she was there, though she had always felt like that. She knew why it was like that, it was because she didn't talk, she really didn't know what to talk about.

Kris had been supressing questions but she let them out, "Why did you ask my brother to Hogsmeade? Do you reallly like him?" She didn't want her brother hurt if she was just doing it just to rile James up.

Lily was taken aback for a minute as she looked at Kris. "Well, of course I like him. As a friend, anyway. And that's all the Hogsmeade trip is, it's just a friend thing. I know he has James and Sirius for friends, but I thought he could maybe use someone to talk to. Someone to talk about the kind of things that guys don't talk about with other guys." Lily gave her a smile. "Don't worry, I'm not going to hurt him, I promise."

Lily smiled at her. "I like that you're so protective of him," she said. "He's a good guy. Everyone thinks so. I just want to help him out, if I can." She looked at Kris thoughtfully, her head tilted to one side. "Come on, Kris, why don't you tell us a little about yourself? We want to get to know you."

"There's really nothing to tell." Kris said her eyes on the lake. In truth there was alot to tell, her father forced her out of the family because Greyback threatened them and had already bit Remus. There was so much she could say but saying it would mean telling them that both she and her brother were werewolves.

Lily giggled. "My sister hates the owls. She freaks out whenever I get one... she says birds are dirty, disgusting creatures that should never be inside." Lily shrugged. "It took me a while to get used to them, too, actually. It's kind of weird, you know? And they bite sometimes... I had one that bit me once... it hurt! They may not have teeth, but they can still do some damage. Besides, I don't like that they eat mice."

Natalie stood back and said nothing, while Lily tried to get Kris to talk. The emotions coming from Kris were very strong, and Natalie could feel them even though she wasn't standing very close to her. Kris was confused and upset about a lot of things, but Natalie couldn't quite understand them. She would have to talk to her privately later.
