Professor Graham walked outside to the outskirts of the forest near the castle. She posted a note for the students to meet her outside. She hoped the students would be able to find their way here. Especially the first years. It took her a while to get use to where everything was, but she had a month before them to get acquainted to teh place. She checked to make sure the animals she was going to present were doing alright, while she waited for the class to arrive.

((Again, since Laura Graham has vanished--temporarily, I hope--I'll take over this class until she returns.))
"OK, class, I think this is it for today. We're going to be discussing bowtruckles today, can anyone tell me what a bowtruckle is?"

Anonimus thought for a minute "It is a insect eating tree dweller with long sharp fingers (two on each hand) and resembling a small stick man made of bark and twigs with two small brown eyes. It is very small, maximum height is around 8 inches...I think" he said smiling.

"Good, Mr. White. Ten points for Hufflepuff. Now, bowtruckles may be small, but they can be nasty little creatures when they feel threatened. What is the best way to distract a bowtruckle from attacking?"
((I'm giving you 10 points, because you are the only Hufflepuff, so you're at a disadvantage here.))

Anonimus smiled "You offer them wood lice or fairy eggs to distract them or you risk having your eyes poked out with its fingers" he said.

"Very good, Mr. White! Another 10 points for Hufflepuff. Now, I want everyone to come up and take a jar of wood lice, then go over to the bushes over in the corner. Each one has a bowtruckle living in it. I want you to offer the bowtruckle some of the wood lice, then collect the berries on the bushes. We'll be giving those to Professor Slughorn for use in potions."

Anonimus picked up a jar and walked over toward the bushes. He stopped in front of one bush and started to try to look for the bowtruckle. He looked for about 10 minutes before spotting it. He got out some wood lice and sat them down away from the bush a good 5 feet. That didn't work so he tried to get closer to the bush. He got as close as he thought it would be safe to do and he held out some wood lice. The bowtruckle saw them this time and started to come closer to him. Anonimus slowly backed away and sat them down, the bowtruckle went after them. Anonimus ran to the bush and picked the berries and put them in the empty jar he was holding. He closed the lid and walked back twards the Professor. "Here you go Professor" he said holding out the jar.

"Very good, Mr. White!" Dumbledore said. "I'll give you another 5 points for being the first to complete the task. Everyone else, as soon as you are finished, you are dismissed."
