Dumbledore opened the door to the Arithmancy classroom. So far the registration for this class had been pretty low, but still, it had to carry on.

Sabrina walked into Arithmancy class and sat down. "Hi, Professor," she said. "Is it just us today?"

"Yes, Miss St. Clare. I am afraid we are the only two for this class today. So we may begin. We're going to be discussing the magical properties of the number 3."

Dumbledore cleared his throat and explained, "Three represents the idea of completeness or wholeness, as in the threesomes past-present-future and mind-body-spirit. Three indicates talent, energy, an artistic nature, humor, and social ease. I want you to look in your book for a list of important events involving the number 3."

Sabrina looked through her book and began to write down some of the significant references to the number 3. When she was done, she brought it up to Dumbledore's desk.
