Sabrina frowned. She wasn't used to being outshone in Potions and she didn't particularly like it. "Well, looks like you've got it all figured out," she said a little too nicely.
She looked around the room to see if Professor Slughorn was on his way over yet, and she noticed Remus and Sirius looking at her. She smiled at Remus.

Slughorn: Professor Slughorn walked around the classroom, checking each student's potion. When Elle said she was finished, he walked over and checked hers. "Not bad, not bad at all," he said. "I'll give you 10 points to Gryffindor for being the first to finish. As for whether it's the best, well, an aging potion will vary in color based on its potency. This one isn't too potent, but that's a good thing. After all, who wants to get older, right? We'll wait and see how the others do."
Lily Evans was next and he walked over and checked hers. "Very good, Miss Evans, very good indeed!"
Then he checked Remus's potion. "No, this is not good at all. I believe you added too much batwing." He waved his hand and made the potion disappear. Then he checked Sabrina's, which he noted was very good, but possibly too potent. "Yours is good, too, Rori," he added. When he checked Sirius's, however, he shook his head. "This is very bad, indeed, Mr. Black. I see you do not share your cousin Bellatrix's skill at potions." He waved the potion away and went to check Severus's.
As he looked into Severus's cauldron, he nodded and smiled. "This is very good, Mr. Snape, very good indeed! Of course, we will have to test it, but I do think yours may be the best! But there are still a few of you left to finish. When everyone is done, we will test them."

Remus was embarassed when the professor vanished his potion, but instead concentrated on what Sirius had said. "Do you really think so?" he asked. He looked at Sabrina again. She was the closest thing he'd ever seen to an angel. Could she really like him? Of course, he thought bleakly, if she knew the truth, he'd never have a chance...

"Well, if my opinion counts for anything, I think she does," James said, finally opening up his book. He went to work and kind of mindlessly did the potion. When he was finished the potion was bubbling even though he took it off the fire. "Hmm, I don't think it's suppose to do that."

Anna started making her potion making it come out as a moldy green color."Evacuate!"Anna yelled knowing she accidently made an explosive potion.she ran out into the hall and grinned.

Slughorn was busy checking James's potion when he heard someone yelling. He looked up and noticed many of the students running from the room.
He hurried over to Anna's cauldron and saw that it was bubbling out of control. "This is going to explode, everyone, run!" he said. He tried to get out of the way, but the potion exploded anyway, and it splashed al over the professor. Immediately, he began to look wrinkled and stooped over, like a very old man. "Yes," he said, "Miss Heart, your potion was effective, but you added too much boomslang skin, and probably too much bubotuber pus as well. If you use too much of those, they can react badly, especially if the heat under your cauldron is too great. I must head to the Hospital Wing, so Madam Pomfrey can give me the antidote, so class is dismissed for today. I'll give 20 points to Gryffindor, for Miss Evans's potion, and 20 points to Slytherin for Mr. Snape's potion. Please read the rest of the chapter on Aging Potions for your homework. Good day!" He rushed off as fast as his stumpy legs could carry him.

Severus Gathered his things and shrank is couldron down. it was as much as a relife as a disappointment to leave his first class as he did.

James, who was sitting there when Slughorn was inspecting his potion got hit with the potion. He was covered in the potion and couldn't wait to get a shower. He walked over to Remus and Sirius. "I'm going to take a shower," he said, before turning to head towards the common room.
