Pearl walked into the kitchen, it was getting closer to being back to perfect working order. She checked a calander that had the moon's marked on it and saw that the next full moon was approaching. Maybe it was time to make a meal to bond as humans, as well as wolves. It was something she had enjoyed when they were able to eat together.

Zander walked into the kitchen, having just come back from a long day at work. He smiled to see Pearl standing there. "Hey," he greeted her softly as he walked over to her and put his arms around her. "What are you up to?"

Pearl smiled and hugged him back. "I'm thinking... it's nearly time for the next moon. We haven't been together in a pack since the last...and the battles, We need to be together as humans too, I think we should gather." she said leaning her head on Zander's strong shoulder. "I'd also like to, ah, kiss you again." she said feeling very shy suddenly. She wasn't used to their relationship yet, but there was no way she was going to abandon it. she merely had to become more familiar with Zander still. "You're scent still overpowers me." she said smiling mischievously.

Zander smiled. "Well, I can definitely arrange that..." he said, leaning in to kiss her. "And you don't really have to ask. Pearl, after what we've shared...my heart belongs to you." He kissed her gently, feeling his heart fill up with love for her. "But as for your other idea, I think it's a good one. When do you want to plan it?"

"Your scent is strong Zander! Sometimes when I smell you before I see you, I still feel very new at this!" Pearl said laughing. "Oh before the moon...maybe tomorrow?" she asked wanting to know what he thought of the plan.

"I love your scent, too, Pearl. You may be new at love, but I'm new at being a werewolf. I still have so much to learn. I haven't yet learned to trust my instincts. If I had, it wouldn't have taken me so long to tell you how I feel about you." He brushed a strand of hair from her face tenderly. "I think it's a good idea. We can spread the word and make sure everyone can make it."

Pearl giggled and wrapped her arms around Zander's neck and said " You're a natural." she said with a grin and added "What shall we make? We don't have much in the way of money, we should make something we can make for everyone and not break our banks."she said happily.

"Hmm," Zander said thoughtfully as he played with a lock of her hair. "We need something that will go far with inexpensive things. Like hash, or stew. Something hearty but that won't be hard to make and will be easy to share. How are you at making stew?" He paused and pressed a kiss on her nose.

"Only the best!" Pearl said with a smile as he kissed her nose. " I can also make some bread, nothing as fancy as that resturant you took me too, but it's still a nice bread." she said pecking him coyly on the lips.

"Perfect," Zander said. "That sounds great. We don't need fancy foods, just something warm and hearty and made with love." He chuckled low in his throat as she kissed him lightly, and pulled her a little closer to him. "You amaze me, Pearl. For as much as you've been withdrawn from the world, you have such love in your heart. You cared for your fellow pack members before you even know what it meant to love." He cupped her cheek and kissed her a little more deeply.

Pearl grew a little dizzy from Zander's kiss. She smiled and said "Love, It came so naturally...Fenrir..." she paused and looked at Zander for a moment and continued "He said that the pack was my family, new member's needed me to guide them and older ones looked to me to help maintain the pack. I took it to heart...they were my family, Fenrir's Pups were mine to teach...Now that I think about it, he had no reason not to teach them himself..." she looked a little sad, it was true, maybe she was merely used.

"It doesn't matter," he said gently, noticing her sad tone. "You did it because you were good at it, and because you had so much love to give. Greyback didn't have the kind of love in his heart that you do. Few people do, really. Even me. But when I'm with you and you look at me that way, I feel my heart opening up." He ran his hand through her hair tenderly. "You know, this new pack we're forming... they may consider me the leader, but it's really you. You're the one who knows more about this world than I do."

"It's been my whole life, It's all I know." she said with a sad smile "I don't know...It's scary being an alpha, my wolf has never been...so under the surface. there are times when I have to think before an instinct takes hold..." she said tucking her head under Zander's chin.

"Well, I think you're doing fine, love," Zander said. "As for me, I need to listen to my own instincts more. I'm still so inclined to be human and fight my wolf. But you help me to get in touch with my instincts. I wouldn't be able to do any of this without you." He pressed a kiss on the top of her head.

"maybe...because of each other...We can just be." she said with a smile and looked up at Zander and kissed him as he kissed her before. She loved him and wanted him to know it, without any doubt.

Zander smiled and kissed her, breathing in her scent as he did. He noticed how her scent changed as the kiss deepened. "Pearl," he breathed. "Maybe... maybe we should go into the other room for a while..."
