Sully walked into the nightclub and went right up to the bar, ordering a firewhiskey. Normally when he was at work, he stayed by the door, but it was a quiet night and he really needed a drink. He couldn't stop thinking about Rochelle. A werewolf! How could it be that the first person he cared for after all this time was the one thing he hated more than anything? First Ashura, now Rochelle. And yet, as shocking as the news was to him, it didn't bother him nearly as much as he would have expected. It didn't change his feelings for her one bit. She had known what he did, that he was the enemy, and she had still willingly gotten close to him. Even though she had been sent there for a reason, he knew her feelings were real. The way she had pleaded with him to leave...
He shook his head and took a gulp from his glass. It was all so confusing, and he wasn't sure how to deal with it. So he did as he always did--he ran away. But this time it was to the bottle.

Chloe headed off to the club. Things had been sort of quite here lately, except for she heard about an attempted werewolf attack and a werewolf attacked another to protect a human. She hadn't ever heard anything like that before, but weird things always happen. Chloe was going to hopefully meet up with Karl later on tonight at the club, but for right now, she was just on her own. She noticed a man, the bouncer, sitting at the bar, and he looked troubled, and she caught the scent of confusion about him. Chloe walked on over and stood infront of the stool beside him. "Mind if I sit here?"

Sully glanced over at a blonde girl who had just sat next to him. Taking another drink from his glass, he nodded slowly. "Aye, go ahead," he said in a low voice.

Chloe took her seat and ordered a butterbeer. "You're the guy that sits out by the door, right," she asked him.

Sully nodded. "Aye. I'm the bouncer. But the place is almost dead tonight, and I need a drink." He sighed and gulped down the rest of his drink, then ordered another. He glanced over at the pretty blonde. "Ever been in love?" he asked.

Chloe nodded in agreement. "Yeah, it is kind of dead," she said. She took a small drink from her glass. "Yes I currently am, I guess you could say," said Chloe.

Sully nodded. "Ah. Well, is it confusing for you, or are you happy? I've been in love twice now, and while there have been good things, I always end up getting hurt."

"I'm pretty much happy," said Chloe. "But how do you end up getting hurt, if you don't mind my asking," she said.

"You're a lucky one then," Sully replied, taking another drink. "As for me, the first time, my fiancee was killed. This time... well, it's complicated, isn't it? I'm not even sure I know how to explain."

"I'm sorry about your fiancee," said Chloe. "But, what do you mean complicated this time? Is there something wrong with her, or you, or what excatly?"

Sully sighed and gulped down the rest of his second drink. "Well, you see, my fiancee was killed by a werewolf years ago. But my new love... she's a werewolf. And I hunt werewolves. Or at least, I used to. I've found out my sister, and now the woman I love, are both werewolves... I'm just kind of questioning everything I used to believe."

"Well, not all werewolves are bad," said Chloe. "Some of them just want to be normal, and don't want to hurt anyone." Chloe took another small sip. "But from what you're saying neither your sister or the woman that you love seem like bad wolves."

"I never knew there was a difference," Sully admitted. "I'm starting to see that there is... but I didn't know it before. I fell for her before she told me that she was a werewolf... I should be angry with her, for lying to me... but I'm not. How could she have told me? I never would have even listened to her... never would have let her get close to me, if I had known the truth." He sighed again. "But I don't know what she's feeling right now. She ran away from me... I'm usually the one who runs away, but now, I just want to run after her..."

"Well, she never did actually lie to you about it did she? She didn't just tell you if she was or not, right," said Chloe. "The way I see it, she's probably scared, because you are, or were, a hunter of what she is, but then again, I don't know. Why don't you go after her? I mean, if you love her enough, don't just sit around, you have to do something, because you know, she could just continue to run away, and you'd never see her again," she said. "Just sitting around drinking is not going to solve anything," Chloe said motioning to his glass. "Plus too, the you have to account that she actually told you her secret. Maybe she loves you as much as you love her, because I feel sure that she wouldn't tell just anybody that secret, right?"

"You're right," Sully said. "She didn't lie. She never said she wasn't a werewolf. She just kept it from me... and I can't blame her for that. She knew what I was.. that I was a... a hunter... It must have been hard for her to tell me the truth. But now she says that I'm in danger. I killed a werewolf a few months ago who was the mate of one of her friends. He was going to attack a little boy, but it doesn't matter. The point is, I killed him and now his mate wants to kill me. I can't even blame her for it, since I started doing what I do because of my fiancee's death. I was looking to get revenge. So my girl--Rochelle--wants me to leave town, to run away again."

"I see," said Chloe. "But, you have decided not to run away, right? She's just trying to protect you. And from that, it seems like she loves you very much that she is trying to protect you from her friends. You see, the packs of werewolves are basically families. They don't really turn against each other, unless there is a pretty good reason, and it seems that you're her reason for sort of turning against her pack. You should let her help you, or just listen to her and run. You never know how many wolves her friend could bring with her, and if you have one wolf on your side, you could more than likely have more on your side," she said. "And, just to let you know, most of the time, when a wolf wants revenge, they will not stop for any reason until they reach their revenge. They will not stop for anyone, no matter who they are, and if you look at it, both of you are in some kind of danger. If she's trying to protect you, she's probably going to go after her friend first, and her friend probably won't even care that she will attack Rochelle. The friend will probably try to kill her to get to you, because like I said most wolves on revenge will not stop, and they will get whatever is in the way of them and their prey out of the way."

Sully listened quietly. "You know a lot about werewolves," he remarked. "It never occurred to me how much danger she would be getting herself into just by loving me. I never wanted any of this to happen, I just wanted to get back at the one who killed Jessie... I never thought I'd fall in love again..." He suddenly felt a strange feeling come over him. It had occurred to him many times in the past that Jessie would never have approved of him becoming a werewolf hunter to get revenge for her death. Maybe in some way, his falling for Rochelle was a sign from Jessie. That it was time to stop what he was doing and move on. To be happy. And yet, now with the possibilty that Gretchen would come after them both... he wondered if it was too late. "No," he said aloud, "No, I can't lose her. You're right, lass, I have to find her now. But... I have no idea where she would have gone..."

"Yeah, well, I have a few friends like that, I guess you could say," said Chloe. "Well, she could be wherever she was staying. Then there's the cemetary and the woods around here, but I wouldn't recommend you go into the woods alone, even though you are a hunter. I'm not sure were else she would have gone. I suppose just check where she was staying and if she's not there, then head to the cemetary, but watch out for the vampires out there. They're pretty nasty creatures, although, I'm sure you already know that. And I also recommend you cut back on your drinking. No more drinking tonight, unless it's water. If you going to go after her, you want to be sober, and actually remember what went on, right?"

"I'm not worried about vampires," Sully said dismissively. "But I will watch out for other werewolves." He stood up and left a few coins on the counter for his drinks. "I'm supposed to be working, but you're right... I have to go find her now. Thank you, lass. You've been a lot of help." He turned and was about to leave, then turned back to her. "I'm sorry, it was very rude of me.... I didn't even ask you your name?"

"If anyone asks where you are, I'll just say something came up," she said. Chloe smiled as he was leaving. "Chloe," she said. "Chloe Owen. And I didn't catch your name either."
