"Oh, good," Morgana said happily, leaning against him. "I've been worried about you, the way you've been staying inside and moping. It's not like you." She walked out to the dance floor with him. "I so love this place. I like knowing that I'm the prettiest girl here, as always." She looked around and caught a glimpse of a tall brunette by the bar, sipping a butterbeer. "Oh, except for her. She might almost be as pretty as me. Can we kill her?"

"Well, I'm not going to stay inside all the time anymore, it's kind of like I'm trapped inside, and I don't like that," said Evan. "Eh, not worry about her, she's not causing any harm. Let her be, because to be honest, she's pretty, but I have no interest in her."

Grace raised an eyebrow with a smirk. "Well, of course, there are always some weaker then their elders. Not all vampires could be easily beaten." She tilted her head, looking at him. "Why," she asked slyly, "Do you not like vampires or something?" She didn't care if he didn't. He didn't have to know that she was. "Not a fan, no," Charles replied. "For some reason, I seem to attract 'em. I was almost bitten here twice by two different ones. One of 'em is that girl over there, the pretty brunette." He pointed to Morgana. "Then I nearly got killed by her jealous boyfriend, just 'cause she was kissin' me. So, yeah... I'm not crazy about vampires. How about you?"

Angelique yawned and took a sip of her butterbeer. She couldn't see what the big deal was about this place. She thought it was lame. Recognizing the blond guy who had hit on her when she first came to town, she made a face. Why did she keep running into him, anyway? Luckily, she didn't have to talk to him, because he was busy flirting with a redhead. She took another sip of her butterbeer and saw a girl staring at her as she danced with her boyfriend, a large pale-looking guy. The girl had a gleam in her eye that Angelique didn't like. "Great," she mumbled. "I'm making enemies without ever saying a word. It's just like back home."

Grace smirked at the blonde's comment. Ahh, the irony. "Maybe you have that look about you or something." He did have a sort of vampire look about him. Grace turned over her shoulder to look at the girl. She narrowed her eyes slightly, and looked back. She wasn't really any competition. "She sounds a little... Unfaithful..." He asked her how she felt about vampires, and slowly, she answered. "I have no problems with vampires." She felt it was easier to just be truthful. And that was exceptionally honest of her.

Ed stood up and started walking while rubbing his face, which for Ed is a daily thing. He ended up walking into a wall. "Ow." He shook his head and went to the woman Morgana had wanted to bite. He got dizzy for a minute and sat down at her table. "Hi, sorry to just sit here with an invite but I must have hit my head hard 'cause I got a bit dizzy there."

Angelique turned to look at the guy who had come to sit at her table. "Is that some kind of cheesy pickup line?" she asked, wrinkling her nose at him. "Cause if so, you just better keep dreaming."

Ed shook his head. "Nope, I ran into the wall." He said rubbing his forhead. He grinned then added, "I do that quite alot, really." He looked at her, she was pretty but is he was going to flirt with her he was going to have to take it slow.

"She's an outrageous flirt, is what she is," Charles said. "She comes here all the time, and I've seen her hit on just about every guy who comes in here. But she always goes back to her undead boyfriend." He shook his head. "Well, anyway, I usually steer clear of vampires. Or try to, anyway. So tell me, what's your name?"

Grace smiled. Some men were addictive, she understood that. Maybe it wasn't the same for the vampire without him. And it was always nice to have someone... Equal as a boyfriend. Someone who understood just because they were the same. "Grace Crosse," she said absently, picking up her drink and finishing it. "And you are?" she asked, her smile forming back on her lips as she looked at him. He was very nice looking, after all.

"Charles Mortensen," he replied. "I used to play Quidditch for the Wimbourne Wasps until I was sidelined for an injury. But I expect I'll be back next season." He smiled at her. She was intriguing; both beautiful and dangerous. One of his favorite combinations. "So, you're new in town, right? Don't think I've seen you around. What brings you to this little corner of the world?"

"Sounds dangerous," she said, beckoning to the barman to give her a refill. "Sort of new. I have... Things to do here." She smiled again as her drink came back to the counter, threw some coins down. "Keep the change," she said to the barman, and looked back to Charles. "Certain family loyalties." She downed her second drink this time. "Dance?" she asked, one eyebrow raised. If he could dance she was interested in him.

Charles gulped down the last of his drink in one shot. "I'd love to," he said, setting the empty glass down on the counter. He gave an exaggerated bow before her and took her hand. "Shall we, then?"

Grace laughed lightly, and allowed him to take her hand. "Of course," she responded, dipping a shallow curtsey to him first. As they walked to the dance floor, Grace wondered if he was a Death Eater. He seemed the type.

Charles led her out to the dance floor, glad for once that he hadn't had time to get good and drunk. He'd been wasting away too much of his life lately, feeling sorry for himself over his miserable love for a woman who would never love him back. Just because he couldn't have the one he wanted, didn't mean he couldn't have fun with another woman. Grace had the right combination of mystery and darkness. And he couldn't deny, the red hair was exciting. "Family business, eh?" he said. "I hate my family. Haven't spoken to 'em in years. How 'bout you?"

She turned, and places one hand on his shoulder, and one on his arm. "They're all dead," she said, with a smile. "Every single last one of them. I don't care, let me assure you that. And they left me with a lot, property scattered around the country - one of the reasons I am here - money, and of course," she smiled again. "A title. It's all rather rosy at the moment."

He raised an eyebrow at her. "A title?" he said. "Impressive. My family's well off, I guess, but they've all but disowned me, so I don't see a drop of it. I make my own luck, I guess you could say. And I've got influential friends." He danced to the rhythm of the song in a bored, almost lazy fashion. "Can't say much for the music they play in here," he commented. "Most of it is crap, don't you think?"

"Well, I suggest you watch where you're going next time," Angelique replied, tossing her hair over her shoulder and picking up her glass again. "If you keep running into walls, you're going to suffer from some lasting damage. Of course, in your case, it might already be too late."

"I know, but even when I do watch where I am going something always distracts me." Ed sighed. "Been that way my whole life...I'm a bit of a klutz." He grinned his best grin. "Strange though..I don't get distracted when fight bears and such."

"Oh, you fight bears, do you?" Angelique said boredly. "I guess this is where I'm supposed to act like I'm impressed or something? Sorry, I'm not. Why do you fight bears? Did the bears do anything to you, or are you just trying to prove how macho you can be?"
