[Emily Alchemia]

Emily finished straightening up a few things since there was nothing else to do in the house. After that, she headed into the living room and sat down on the couch.

[Vincent Corrigan]

Vincent came home from working at the Hog's Head. He was in a bad mood after having had to break up a fight between several drunks and a couple death eaters. Rubbing his head, he walked into the house and sat down. "Hey, Emily," he said tiredly.

[Emily Alchemia]

Emily turned her head towards the door when she heard it open. "Hey," replied Emily. "Hard day," she asked noticing him rubbing his head.

[Vincent Corrigan]

"Yeah," Vincent said. "Zander and I had to break up a fight. There were fists and hexes flying everywhere. I think one of them caught me in the jaw." He leaned over and kissed her quickly. "Be glad you weren't there. How was your day?"

[Emily Alchemia]

"I guess I'm glad I wasn't there then," said Emily with a faint smile. "You know, the usual. Not really doing anything. Straightening up a few things, that's just about it. I ran into Angelique, Evangeline, Cassidy, and Isa today in the Three Broomsticks earlier. We just sat around and talked about girl stuff."

[Vincent Corrigan]

"Oh, that's good," Vincent said. "Glad you had some girl talk. How is Isabella doing? Any word yet on the baby? Or Voltaire?"

[Emily Alchemia]

"No. Nothing really," said Emily. "But I did tell her that you could talk to Voltaire for her, since well, you know, you're friends and everything. Isa said that Charles tried, but didn't really get anywhere. So I figured that you would have a better chance at talking to him than just about anyone else," she said. "She said that she also did something, but never would tell me what is was."

[Vincent Corrigan]

"Well, I can try, but I really think that when it comes down to it, she's the only one who's going to get through to him. Or maybe Rori. Finding him could be a problem, though." He frowned as she mentioned something that Isabella had done. "Done? Like, what? Something wrong? Something dangerous? Oh... I hope she didn't let that guy Charles kiss her or something... Voltaire would flip..."

[Emily Alchemia]

"Well, maybe he's been hanging around the Three Broomsticks, or the club or something. I haven't seen him at the Hog's Head," said Emily. "But then again, you never know. I don't think it was anything like that though. She said that it was to get her baby back, something along those lines. I'm not sure what that could have been. Maybe I can find out."

[Vincent Corrigan]

"Hmm," Vincent said. "She probably made some kind of deal with that guy Charles. I guess if she gets the baby back, it's a good thing, but I hope she didn't do anything crazy." He sighed. "So who else did you say you were with? Angelique and who else?"

[Emily Alchemia]

"Evangeline and Cassidy," said Emily. "Evangeline works in the registry. And you know Cassidy. I didn't know if you knew Evangeline," she said.

[Vincent Corrigan]

Vincent shook his head. "No, I don't know her. Cassidy... that's the girl who is apparently not my secretary, right? The one who's working on Jackson's case? Has she given up yet?"

[Emily Alchemia]

"No Cassidy hasn't given up yet," said Emily. "And I'm glad she hasn't. I think she can actually win the case. I mean Jackson is innocent. He didn't know what he was doing. Even Dumbledore says so."

[Vincent Corrigan]

"Seriously?" Vincent said. "You really believe him? Did you read that article in the Daily Prophet? Emily, the guy was part of an attack that left you injured. Same thing with Charles. I should have arrested that guy when he came in the other day... and Jackson totally deserved that punch in the face I gave him..."

[Emily Alchemia]

"Do you really think that he would actually tell the whole wizarding world that he done it? That Bambi woman causes trouble, and you know it," said Emily. She slienced for a moment. "You what," she said angerly. "Why did you go and punch him? He did nothing to you, or is this about me not able to have children because of the attack?"

[Vincent Corrigan]

"Hey, hey... you know I don't blame you for that. That's not your fault. But yeah, I am mad about it. Shouldn't I be? You should be, too!" Vincent stood up and began to pace. "They attacked you and took something from you... a possibility. Sure, we weren't planning to have kids any time soon, but it was nice to know there was a chance. Now there isn't a chance, and yeah, I'm mad at anyone and everyone who was responsible for that. And I'm sorry, but I don't see ay proof that Tyler was innocent!"

[Emily Alchemia]

"Did you ever think that Dumbledore saw Jackson's eyes whenever they dueled outside the room? You know as well as I do that Dumbledore knows the signs of the curse. But of course nothing's going to change your mind, because you're too damn stubborn," said Emily. "And yes, I have been upset about it, but there's nothing I can do! It is my fault because I chose to jump infront of you so you wouldn't end up back in the hospital and possibly worse off than you were," she said standing up.

[Vincent Corrigan]

"Well, if he's really innocent, I'm sure it will come out in his trial, but I just don't trust him!" Vincent said. "And I'm not going to help him. But I don't blame you for it, even though you really shouldn't have jumped in front of me. Yeah, I was hurt, but I got better. Risking yourself didn't help me... I don't know wht I would have done if you'd been killed."

[Emily Alchemia]

"If I hadn't jumped, you could have been dead! Who knows. The spell could have opened an old wound and you could have died! I would have gone insane," said Emily. "I'm sorry I've made you upset with me. That's nothing I ever wanted to do! I know you wanted to be a father badly, but you can't go taking it out on people! I have come to the point where I'm starting to accept the fact that I won't be a mother, but you on the other hand haven't started to accept it." Emily started to tear up. "Maybe you should just go and find someone that could make you a father," she said running up the stairs to the bedroom.

[Vincent Corrigan]

"What the... Emily! Wait!" Vincent cried, feeling very confused. He stood there, staring up the steps in confusion, wondering just what it was that he had said wrong... and how he was supposed to make it right.
