The plot so far

OK, here is the beginning of a plot summary to explain what has happened so far. I stopped at the Masquerade Ball, so if I'm missing anything that happened before that point that you think I should add, please let me know. I'll work on the rest tomorrow...

The plot so far:

James, Sirius, Remus, and Peter met on the train and became close friends. James and Sirius, in particular, took a dislike to Severus Snape. Later at the feast, Remus caught some girls at the Ravenclaw table watching them and they went to meet the girls. These were Rori Logan, Anna Marie Heart, and Sabrina St. Clare. They made a date for Hogsmeade. Remus was instantly taken with Sabrina, a pretty 3rd year whose mother, a famous Auror, was killed at the Ministry several months before. Sabrina has not gotten over the death of her mother, and has vowed to find the killer and "make him/her pay." She has two possible suspects, Rori's mother Elizabeth, and Laitia Kirak, the new Muggle Studies teacher. She knows the killer was a Death Eater, and had previously worked at the Ministry. She's been getting help from her cousins, Elle and Lucie Wright, and from Rori and her cousin Anna, and has even had training sessions with Rori and Anna's older cousin, Voltaire SkipIt, a secret Death Eater. She was very worried about her younger sister, Natalie, who had been very depressed since her mother's death. But on a visit to Hogsmeade and the school, Natalie revealed the truth to her Uncle Alastor: She had the rare gift of being able to see inside a person's soul and tell their secrets, their true nature, and occasionally, their future. She explained that she had seen her own sister's death in a vision of the future and begged him to stop her from seeking out her mother's killer.

Voltaire fell in love with a fellow Death Eater, Isabella Rothschild, who was working for the Dark Lord as an undercover teacher at Hogwarts, teaching Defense Against the Dark Arts. Though seemingly very cold, Isabella was charmed by Voltaire and they began a relationship, until they were spotted by Voldemort carrying on like children. He lectured them both, but gave them permission to continue their relationship as long as it didn't interfere with their duties. Isabella's reply that her loyalty was only to the Dark Lord made Voltaire think she was just playing with him, and he walked away from her. Devastated, she talked to Rori, who stepped in and helped them get back together. Isabella apologized, but both agreed to keep their relationship secret from the other Death Eaters.

When Laitia realized that her godchild, Elle, knew she was a Death Eater, she staged an attack at the Quidditch Pitch and kidnapped Elle, bringing her back to the Headquarters. Isabella and Voltaire split up the attack, knowing it was not authorized by the Dark Lord. Voldemort was furious about the attack and ordered Laitia to return Elle to the school with a memory charm. But the memory charm was too strong and Elle was completely messed up for weeks, leaving her older sister Lucie furious and worried.

Rori got close to Anonimus White, a Hufflepuff fifth year, which caused some jealousy for Sirius, who also liked her. Eventually, she began going out with Anonimus and gave her apologies to Sirius. She also found out that her mother had been supposedly killed, but she believed that she was faking her death. Later, Anna found out that both of her parents had been killed and that Alasor Domino, the Transfiguration professor, had secret files on her past, which he was using to find out if her parents or Rori's parents knew anything about Sabrina's mother's killer.

Meanwhile, Voltaire was assigned to "keep an eye on" Jake, a young, hotheaded Death Eater, and both were sent to apply as Aurors in order to spy on them. They met Vincent, a Metamorphmagus Auror, who works at the Hogs Head in disguise and really, really likes his hair. Vincent revealed that there was a powerful werewolf named Fenrir Greyback that the Ministry had been trying to catch for a while, and Voltaire decided to have Jake recruit him for the Dark Lord instead.

New Death Eater, Emily Alchemia, came to town and enlisted as an Auror, initially as a spy. But when she met Vincent, she fell for the slightly shallow Auror. She revealed to him her horrible past, as a forced recruit of the Army of Darkness, a group of American Death Eaters led by vampire Delilah Dupree.

The Halloween Masquerade Ball was announced just as Sabrina found out that her father had "fallen through a veil" at the Ministry and was now dead. Alastor and Sabrina went to get Sabrina's little sister Natalie, and Alastor made plans to adopt the two girls. Before leaving, Sabrina agreed to go to the ball with Remus, while James asked out Anna. Sirius invited Naicelle Abbott to go with him. Even Severus got a date in the form of young Natalie. Ian Smith finally asked out his all-time crush, Lucie Wright. Even Emily and Vincent, Voltaire and Isabella planned to attend.

Jake found Fenrir Greyback and was about to be attacked by him when stopped by Delilah, who took a liking to the boy. Voltaire arrived on the scene and dragged them all off for a dark meeting in the Three Broomsticks. Isabella and Emily arrived later, and Isabella and Voltaire made it clear that no one was to stage an attack on the school without their approval--and they didn't give their approval. Afterwards, Isabella and Voltaire met at their secret cabin and discussed the meeting.

But Delilah and Jake planned to attack the ball anyway and kill whomever they could. All was in place, but things went in an unexpected way. Elle, having recovered her memory, flipped out at the sight of Laitia and stabbed her, slit her throat, and stepped on her face. Then she collapsed herself. Miraculously, Laitia lived thanks to the quick thinking of Vincent, but both Elle and Laitia lay unconscious for a while, as poor Lucie got closer to Ian Smith for comfort....

An update... but still not finished...


Lucie and Ian got closer and each learned that they’d both always had feelings for each other. Meanwhile, the attack at the ball had some other effects on other people. Voltaire began to question his loyalty to the Dark Lord, but kept quiet about it to Isabella. Sabrina was deeply shaken by seeing her cousin nearly kill the person she believed had killed her mother. And Severus, believing he’d been stood up by Natalie, began to retreat into a shell, until the next day when she came to him and told him about the incident at the ball. She also revealed that she has trouble sleeping, due to the nightmarish future visions she sees in her dreams. Severus agreed to make a potion for her that would give her a dreamless sleep, but not be addictive.

Rori talked with Vincent and learned that there was a possible werewolf at the school. She figured out it was Remus and planned to approach him and offer him help. When she talked to him, she eventually got him to confess and assured him she was still his friend. She agreed to take him to Vincent, but on the way there they were attacked by Greyback, who threatened them and attempted to get Remus to join his pack. Remus refused, and Voltaire came along and chased Greyback away.

Lucie and Ian kissed and agreed to meet, along with Namine Destiny, in Hogsmeade for some fun. Meanwhile, Delilah was determined to make a display of her strength and ruthlessness and also to attempt to draw Vincent out into the open where she could kill him. The three students laughed over butterbeers in the Three Broomstick and headed out to the joke shop, running into Rori along the way. Rori went one way, looking for Voltaire, while Namine, Ian, and Lucie went the other way—right into Delilah and Jake’s path.

As they came closer, Delilah stepped out and fired a Killing curse at Namine. Ian and Lucie ran for it, but Lucie fell. Jake was about to kill her, when Ian jumped in front of her, getting hit with the curse. He died shouting her name and collapsed on top of Lucie. Hearing the screams, Rori ran in the direction of the attack, then when she realized what was happening, she screamed and hid under a tree. Jake came up towards her and was about to cast a curse on her when Voltaire and Vincent both arrived on the scene. Voltaire cast a spell on Jake that split his chest open, but Vincent healed it quickly and then used a body-binding spell on him to keep him still. He also caught Delilah and kept her in a body-binding spell. Ryan Matthews and Sophie Leebetta arrived on the scene and agreed to take Ian’s and Namine’s bodies to the school. Vincent did some quick healing on Lucie and on Rori, then he and Voltaire brought them back to the school.

At the hospital wing, Lucie was terribly ill, vomiting blood, while Rori was very still and quiet. Dumbledore himself did some healing procedures on Lucie, while Ryan and Sophie sat near by. Isabella joined Voltaire in sitting by Rori’s side, and they spent a difficult night in the hospital wing. The next morning, Lucie regained consciousness and began asking for Ian, and Anna came to see her cousin. Leaving Anna with Rori, Voltaire took Isabella to the room of requirement for a serious talk. He told her he no longer wanted to be one of Voldemort’s Death Eaters, and that if she wouldn’t quit, too, he would have to leave her as well. They had a terrible fight, and Isabella told him she couldn’t leave. So he left her in the room, crying her eyes out.

Dumbledore broke the news to Lucie that Ian was dead, and then gave her some more medicine to help her heal. Meanwhile, Anonimus came to visit Rori and Sabrina came to visit Lucie, Elle, and Rori.

Voltaire and Isabella each spent the day drinking large amounts of firewhiskey; Voltaire at the Hog’s Head and Isabella at the Three Broomsticks. Vincent comforted Voltaire, while Isabella was helped by Emily and Alastor. When she collapsed on the floor, Alastor and Emily took her to his house to recover.
