Jon finally made it to St. Mungo's and entered with no problem. He wasn't sure where to go exactly, so he just walked up to the desk where someone was sitting. "Um, excuse me? I'm Jon Thomas, and I'm looking for someone I can speak with about an internship around here. Could you help me?"

Danny was just switching files on patients, stowing one folder away and grabbing another from the stack, when she heard him. It was an incredibly busy day, and where a few of the nurses would have been irritated and told him to come back, the idea of an intern on days like today sounded marvelous. Besides, it took a little bit of courage to just come up and ask like that and she admired that.
"Well, you can talk to me about it, actually," she said. "But I'm pretty busy at the moment... so as long as you can walk and talk, we're in business."

Jon glanced up gratefully as he heard a woman's voice answer him. "Walking and talking is something I can do," he replied. Jon took a few steps an started to walk along side her. "I came in before and someone told me to come in today for my internship for becoming a healer." He took in his surroundings. Today seemed extremely busy. Maybe today he could become of great use around the hospital.

She lead him towards one of the single rooms down the hall opening her file for her patient as she did so.
"I'm assuming you have at least a little experience?" She asked. They wouldn't have sent him back if they thought he was useless. "Tell you what... Good morning, Mrs. Orsen," she said, cutting herself off as she came into the room. "How is your arm feeling?"
"Almost back to normal," she responded, reminding Danny of a sweet old grandmother.
"Mrs. Orsen came in with a problem a bit different than we're used to where bones are concerned. She was hit with a wayward hex that caused her to grow several more," she explained to Jon.
"And it's far more painful losing them than growing them back," the woman added pointedly.
A few minutes later, she was was outside with Jon again. "I'm sorry, anyway, tell me what you can do... and if you're serious about this internship, we can throw you right into the fire."

Jon followed the woman into a room. He studied to older lady and listened carefully. Jon only nodded as the lady commented, and he followed Danielle back out in the hall.
"What I can do? I can do almost anything, except for surgeries. I haven't had any experiences with those yet. And I am pretty serious about this internship. I know that it will be hard work, but I think I'll be alright working," he said with confidence in his voice.

Danny nodded. "All right. Good. Here's what we're going to do then, Mr..." She trailed off and shook her head. "I am so sorry," she laghed. "It's really been a hectic day. I'm Dr. Thomas... Danielle, if you like."
She held out her hand, clearly indicating that she would like to know his name as well. She hoped he didn't think she was off her rocker. There was just so much going on, so many patients to check in on, that things like introductions slipped her mind.

"You don't have to apologize Danielle," said Jon. He felt a little awkward calling her by her first name, but he would get used to it.
He reached out and shook her hand. "Jonathan Thomas, but you can just call me Jon." He smiled politely. "What should be done first?"

"Thomas, huh?" She asked and smiled. "Maybe we're related," she joked before getting right back down to business.
"Well... you look decent and trustworthy and like a hard worker." She should have had him shadow either herself or one of the other doctors, but they really needed an extra hand, and he seemed like the type of guy who had it all together. She decided to trust her first instincts about the guy. She handed a bunch of folders.
"Names and room and bed numbers are on the front. They all need some kind of pill, which are all on this cart," she was walking him around, showing him what he needed. "They are also labled with names, room, and bed numbers, so please doubl check that everyone is getting the right potion or pill. Put a check mark here-" she pointed to a spot in one of the folders, "-after they've taken it, initial, and you're done. Come find me when you're done with that, and hopefully things will have calmed down enough so that I can talk to you more and hopefully set you up to shadow one of us for a while."
