Angelique followed the annoying blond guy to the Hog's Head, and quickly separated from him when she stepped inside. She walked over to the bar and said to the woman behind the bar, "Hi, is Vincent Corrigan here?"

"Um, well, Vincent's in the back doing something at the moment," said Emily. "But is there anything I can help you with?"

"Oh, OK," said Angelique. She looked at the woman carefully for a second, then smiled. "Well, my name is Angelique St. Clare. I sent him a letter about a week ago, asking about becoming an auror. I'm from America, where I worked as an auror untill I quit after a... disagreement with my boss. Mr. Corrigan said I should come here to meet with him?"

"Oh yes. I remember you, well, Vincent told me of your letter. I'm Emily Alchemia," said Emily. "Let me go get Vincent then. I'll be right back." Emily disappeared into the back room and found Vincent. "Hey, Angelique St. Clare is here wanting to talk about becoming an auror."

Angelique watched her go, then stopped to look around the place. It was dark, dirty, and a little bit smelly. And the clientele was decidedly seedy. She caught a creepy-looking old man leering at her from the corner and glared at him. "Ew!" she said out loud. She couldn't understand why the head of the auror office would want to work in a place like this.
