Emily got out of bed quickly, got dressed and brushed her hair. Once she was satisfied with that, she ran downstairs and opened the Hog's Head. Since Vincent wasn't really able to take care of the place right now, she decided to run it for him. Emily was still a little angry with him for chasing her away, and then again she was angry at herself for letting him. She pushed her thoughts away when a random man walked in. She recognized him from before. He spoke in a low tone, "The only information I have, and that I could get is Voldemort is planning a kidnapping. Who or what, I don't know. That's all I know." Emily looked at the man and nodded, then handed him 20 galleons. The man walked out and Emily turned her back towards the door and started cleaning glasses, trying to think of who it could be that would be kidnapping.

Zander walked into the Hog's Head, noticing that it was open. He was disappointed to find that Vincent wasn't there, only Emily Alchemia. Nonetheless, he approached her anyway. "Hi, Ms. Alchemia? Um, I was wondering if you needed any help here... a bartender, or even just someone to sweep the floors?"

"Oh hey," said Emily turning around. "Um, well, I guess I could use a little help. Corrigan is unable to take over the Hog's Head right now, so I took the job myself. I guess you could sweep a little while I'm cleaning glasses and I could use a part time bartender for now. I don't know how Corrigan will want it to be whenever he gets back, but you can work for now," said Emily. "What's your name again?"

"I'm Zander Smith," he said, holding out his hand to her. "Um, I don't know if this is a problem, but you're going to find out whenever Vincent is able to come back. He knows me a little, I used to be an Auror trainee. But now... I... I'm a werewolf. I always hide during the full moon, I've never attacked... I just really need money..." he looked at her almost pleadingly.

Emily shook his hand. "I have a feeling that he will be back. I haven't talked to him for awhile. He sort of didn't want me around," she said quietly, "but anyway, glad to have some help. And thanks for letting me know about your little secret, if you want to call it that. Feel free to help straighten up or whatever you feel like doing."

Zander smiled. "Great. Thanks." He paused for a minute, then added, "I'm sure Vincent just needed some space. I heard about what happened to him, and he was probably just trying to save you the pain of watching him suffer like that. But I bet he misses you, too, even if he did chase you away."

"Yeah, well thanks," said Emily. She was still angry at him and most of all herself, but continued to clean glasses. She realized she had be cleaning the same glass for about five minutes or so. She put that one down and picked up another and started cleaning that one.

Isabella had finished her lunch with Vincent, then taken him back to the hospital wing at Hogwarts. Now she came back to Hogsmeade, intending to talk to Emily. She found her in the Hog's head, polishing a glass and talking to a young, dark-haired man. "Hey, Emily," she said, smiling. "Do you have time to talk?"

"Hey Isabella," said Emily greeting her with a smile. She put the glass she was polishing down. "Yeah, of course I have time to talk. What's on your mind?"

Isabella motioned toward an empty table. "Do you mind if we sit over here?" she said, putting her hand on her back. "I need a chair that can support my back. I've really been sore lately because of the baby."

"Yeah, sure we can sit here," said Emily smiling and pulling out a chair for Isabella to sit in, and walking across the table and sitting across from her. "So what do you want to talk about?"

"Thanks," Isabella said. She looked at Emily. "Listen, I was just out to lunch with Vincent. I'm worried about him, to be honest. I know he pushed you away, but you have to know he's just being proud."

Emily frowned for a second. "I understand that. Men and their pride has always been an issue no matter who the person is. But he should know that I don't care how he is, I just want to help him get better, and he doesn't want me to do that. I haven't even seen or spoken to him since the evening he woke up."

"And he's too proud to admit that he made a mistake in sending you away," Isabella said. "But he did, and he knows it. Listen, when Voltaire was tortured by Voldemort, there wasn't a thing he could have said or done that would have made me leave his side. I know that you love Vincent the same way, and he loves you. One of you has to make the first move. If you wait until he gets better it might be too late to put things back together. Think about it, Emily, won't you at least visit him?"

"I really haven't had the time," said Emily. "I've been trying to keep up the Hog's Head. I had a little trouble in here yesterday, but I got it under control, and I'm lucky Zander came in wanting to help. So that's a good thing, but I also have something I have to attend, but I dunno how long it's going to take," she said, "I mean I'll try to visit, but I can't make any promises. I'll try to go today if possible."

"Oh, are you on the Wizengamot, too? For Elle's trial?" Isabella smiled slightly. "I'm glad to know you'll be there, too. The girl needs as many people on her side as she can get. I'm not saying Laitia deserved what happened to her, but Elle was clearly not in her right mind... whatever memory charm Laitia used really messed her up."

"Yeah, I'm going to try my best to help her win her case. Hopefully we can get her to win. I don't want Elle to have anything bad happen to her," said Emily.

Isabella nodded. "She's just a girl, she deserves a chance to have a life." She sighed and rubbed her stomach. "Emily, I have to tell you, I cannot wait until this baby is born. I feel miserable. I don't get around as well as I used to, and it's very frustrating. Voltaire's been so sweet about it and keeps telling me I'm beautiful, but I feel like a whale. And I have mood swings like you wouldn't believe."

Emily laughed, but thought about the information she had earlier recieved, but decided not to tell Isabella, because she didn't want to worry her about anything. "Well, you honestly don't look like a whale. Mood swings eh?" she said with a laugh. "You and Voltaire are going to be good parents, and you know if there is ever anything I can do, you just let me know, no matter how late or how early it is, you know I'll be right there."

"Thanks, Emily," Isabella said. "We may just take you up on that." She laughed slightly. "You know, I'm glad we became friends.I've never had a friend I could talk to before. It was mostly my own fault... but now I see what I was missing. And seriously, if there's anyway we can help you our Vincent, all you have to do is ask."
