Emily's heart dropped again whenever he pulled away. "Yeah, um, don't be. Whatever you do, don't be sorry. That's what I've always been taught." commented Emily. "Well, I better be going. I'll see you in the morning." she said standing up.

"Wait... uh, you don't have to go," Vincent said, jumping up. "Um, I mean, I could walk you home. Just to make sure you're OK, that is."

"Um, I don't really have a house right now, so how about I take you up on that offer of some place to stay, I mean if the offer is still good." said Emily shrugging.

"Yeah, it's still good. I could set you up with a room upstairs. I know it's hardly a luxury hotel, but I live upstairs, so you know it would be safe." He hesitated. "Although... I suppose if you're going to be around here a lot, there's something important I should tell you. About me."

"This place is fine. Um, okay, what is it?" asked Emily tucking her hair behind her ears again.

"It's, um, it's not a big deal, but, uh... well, you know the bartender? The old, fat bartender?" He sighed. "Well, that's me. It's my disguise so I can get information. I'm a Metamorphmagus, and this--what you see now--is my true self. I... I'm not sure why I didn't tell you before, but I think you should know."

"Thanks for letting me know." said Emily smiling. "Oh yeah, um, Greyback is hanging around here somewhere. Wherever the Army of Darkness is, he's not to far behind. Just word of caution. Vampires and Werewolves basically make up the Army, so if you go out at night, be extremely careful." she said concernedly.

"I was worried you'd be mad that I didn't tell you," he said. "The reason was partially because I can't change out in the main room, because it would blow my cover, but also, I... I didn't really want you to see me like that," he confessed." I really hate that disguise." At the mention of the Army, he frowned. "I think we'd better put out an advisory to the public that they should stay in brightly-lit, populated areas when they're out at night and especially during the full moon. If we have a rash of people being attacked by werewolves, it could create a panic." He smiled at her. "I'll be careful, I promise. I have a contact in New York City who might be able to tell me more about this Army. I'll contact him through the Floo network right away."

"The disguise is part of you job, so I can't be mad at that. I don't really care what you look like, just the person inside. Yeah, I know that sounds corny, but it's true." Emily said smiling. "An advisory, sounds like a good idea." she said still smiling. "And as long as you hold out that promise, I'll be happy."

He smiled, feeling all warm inside. It was strange how she could do that to him. "Thanks," he said. He looked at her seriously. "You're really special, you know that?"

"Um, no, but I do now." said Emily smiling. She couldn't help but smile around him. "You're special too. No one else has made me smile this much."

"Thanks," he said, smiling back. "Same to you." He felt his face go hot and he ran his hand through his hair nervously. "So, um... I guess I should take you upstairs and show you your room, OK?"

"Alright, I'm right behind you." said Emily smiling. Emily knew she probably looked like an idiot, but she didn't really care.

Vincent led her upstairs and down the hall to the nicest room they had, other than the one he was staying in. He opened the door. "Here it is. It isn't much, but it's one of the best we've got. It's actually even clean. Mostly." He chuckled. "Um, anyway, my room is just down the hall at the end. Last one on the right. In case you need anything, that is."

"Thanks Vincent, for everything." said Emily smiling. She gave him a quick kiss on the cheek. She blushed and looked at him. "Thanks again."

Vincent blushed at the kiss. "You're welcome," he said, smiling. "Just let me know if you need anything, OK? I'll be back down at the bar for a little while longer, then I'll be up. And... I'd like to take you out for breakfast in the morning, if that's OK?"

"OK, I'll see you then," he said. "Goodnight, Emily." Reluctantly he turned and headed down the hall toward the stairs.

"Night Vincent." said Emily smiling. Before she closed the door, she ran out of it and caught Vincent before he walked down the stairs. She kissed him on the lips for a few seconds and pulled away. Emily smiled at him and walked back to her room and closed the door.

Vincent was still a bit stunned as she closed the door. She had kissed him! He broke into a grin and walked down the stairs. He felt so light, he might as well have floated down.
