Voltaire apperated just outside The Three Broomsticks, Tai on his elbow smiling and waving a little sack of gold. "you're incorrigible. I thought I told you to stop doing that. You're not a tea lady anymore." he said pushing the door open for her. It was a busy day. The pub was filled with odds and ends, he picked a table and Tai sat with him. He looked up from the table top and said "Look, There's no need to pretend Tai. You know that I left you across the pond little over a year ago. I also know you have a knack for getting what you want, even if it's just pretty words...I need your help." he looked up to gaze at her pretty face. What was it that ever attracted him to her? She fluttered her eyes and he fought back a flush, yeah that's what it was...

Tai looked at Voltaire. He was always so serious, but always fun, with adventure in his blood. She loved him for that. He could always pull ahead and beat the odds and fight. That and his grace for wand movement was amazing, compared to her own skill. "Alright, so What made you leave the cow? It could be because you missed your LeeLee?" she asked sweetly. She leaned over the table, making sure to show what she offered off. "What is it you want?" she asked with pout when he shot her a peculiar look, the sugar dropped from her voice, it sounded more bitter than she would of liked.

"Look, my son has been taken. I want him back, I know you can help me get him back. I might be willing to...ah reconcile." He said clasping his hands just over his mouth. He realized he probably shouldn't of made it sound like a business deal. Who ever Ethan's mother was, she probably did something to deserve being forgotten so soon after he was born. It was as if a whole year was ripped out of his head, It burned to think on it too deeply.

Tai frowned, he was being very formal. "Ok so maybe you might be willing...Who's to say I am?" she pouted prettily, the she grinned "Oh Kay! Of course I'd help you Volty! I've missed you so! So who took your jumble of nerves?" she asked sweetly as that it could be said.

Voltaire was relived, but wary, Tai wasn't to be trifled with without caution. He smiled none the less and reached across the table, holding her cold hands in his large warm ones. "Thank you LeeLee! I knew I could always go back to you." he lied easily, just like old times. he sat up and leaned toward her holding both her hands in a loving motion "What I know is that the dark lord is after a locket. Slytherins' locket and he wants more followers. It's not much, but I know he has my kid, I pissed him off royaly...not that I remember what it was I did, but that doesn't matter now." he said stroking her knuckles. To anyone else they would look just just another cooing couple.

Charles was, as usual, getting sloshed in a dark corner of the bar, when he heard a familiar voice. He looked up and saw Voltaire--or at least, it looked like Voltaire. His hair was long and tied behind his back, not short and spiky. He was dressed differently as well--darker and more wild. But the most unusual thing of all was the woman who was hanging all over him. It was very definitely not Isabella. She was Asian, with long dark hair and very revealing clothing. "Why, that dirty rotten bastard!" he swore under his breath.

Tai Lee beamed at the use of the pet name. "Oh Volty! I knew that Cow couldn't hold your interest for long! she was so mean and fat!" she said standing up from the small table and laid a kiss on Voltaire, not nearly as chaste as he kissed her before. "I'll find out where they are keeping him!" she said smiling and dashed out of the pub to find what she needed to help Voltaire...and in the end help herself.

As the woman gave Voltaire a thoroughly non-platonic kiss, then bounced out of the club, Charles nearly vomited into his glass. How dare Voltaire cheat on Isabella? She should be about to give birth by now, if she hadn't already! He set down his glass with a bang and stormed over to the cheating little toad. "You've got a lot of bloody nerve, you know that?" he shouted.

Voltaire looked up and saw a man he vaguely remembered getting drunk with. "Nerve? me? Why thank you for noticing. How what's got your knickers in a knot, eh chuckles?" he said the nickname easily, so he figured maybe he did remember him. Voltaire stood up and said "care to join me?" he asked with a sarcastic smile, the man was angry, and well on his way to being pissed.

"I can't believe you even have to ask that question!" Charles spat. "Who the bloody hell was that woman I saw draping herself all over you? Have you forgotten about the mother of your child already?"

"That pet, was Tai. Oddly enough, Yes, there isn't any reason for me to think about her. I have other more important things to worry about than the oven that baked my bun. Now If you don't want to join me, sodd off." he said sitting down. He knew he was wasting time, but this joker was seriously irking him.

Charles was aghast. "Why, if I wasn't already half pissed, I'd pound your sodding face for that remark! You bloody bastard! I knew you were nothing but a git, now you've proved it. Last time we spoke, all you could say was how much you loved and worshipped her, now she means nothing to you? I should have bloody killed you when I had the chance!"

Voltaire's eyes narrowed. "That makes it your mistake. It doesn't matter what I said before, what matters is now! and now she isn't that important to me." he said looking looking vicious. "I have other things to do." he said looking darkly at the blond. He pushed past him and walked toward the door, probably ready to hear whatever he could or would shout at him.

"You prat!" Charles yelled after him. "You better steer clear of me, mate, cause next time I see you, I wil kill you!" For further emphasis, he grabbed an empty glass from the bar and threw it at him.

Voltaire ducked the glass and made a rude gesture to the man, chuckles. "See ya around Chuckle!" he shouted as he left the pub. he was reeling with confusion. Had he really said those things about Ethan's mother? He felt a twinge of guilt for saying what he said, but it was true so he pushed aside the feeling.

"Bastard!" Charles yelled after him. He turned to the bartender. "Better get me a double this time." He felt sick that the man whom Isabella had loved, had changed her life for, was abandoning her so callously. His first instinct was to find her, to see what had happened, and to see if he could help. But he knew that she didn't share his feelings, so it would be pointless. She didn't want him, and seeing him would probably make her even more angry. Still--she was beautiful when she was angry...
