Crystal just finished looking around for supposedly demon tracks, but didn't see any. After spending all morning looking for the tracks, of course she was tired. Crystal walked into the Three Broomsticks and ordered a Butterbeer, rather than the heavy stuff, because she promised Colby she would after she came home drunk once. Once she got her butterbeer, she sat at a table. Crystal took a few sips and ran her finger around the rim of the glass, staring off into space.

Nathan had just finished a long day of work in which he had had two big arguments with his customers. He nodded at the bartender and quickly ordered a firewhiskey. He looked around for a place to sit and saw Crystal, who he had just spoken to the day before, sitting at a table. He took his drink and walked over to her. He grinned a bit and nodded at her, "Hey..." He said plainly. "Mind if I sit? I had a hard day at work...some guys really pissed me off..."

"Nah, go ahead and take a seat," said Crystal with a laugh. "Try being on a hunt all morning for invisible demon tracks whenever a woman swears she saw them. I've been up since daybreak looking for the tracks, but wasn't ever able to find them. But anyway, what happened with the two guys?"

Nathan just sat down and shook his head, "Its nothing...something about a defunctional talisman or something...I didn't really even pay attention. I just yelled and disagreed." He took a long drink of his firewhiskey. "So, what've you been doing lately anyways? Are you still a slayer, then?"

"I'm still a slayer, not 'the' slayer anymore. There's a younger girl doing most of the work. I just handle most of the small stuff," said Crystal. "I stopped being 'the' slayer whenever I had Colby. He was my main concern. I raised him the best I could, and he's turned out pretty good so far."

Nathan chuckled, "Yeah, he looks like a fine boy." He replied. "Look....you know...that I'm still working for....for him, right?" He asked, hesistantly. He wanted to make a point across to her, and he went about it the only way he knew.

"I know," said Crystal simply. "I can't stop you from working for him, just because we came back. I'm not going to try to stop you either. You're to hard-headed for that," she said with a smile. "It's your life and I'm not going to tell you how to run it."

"Well, the thing is- I have no choice at this point. Five years ago, when I started being an addict, I had to go on the run in order to stop from being put in Azkaban. And the only person who would help me and provide work for me, was him. And I majorly regret it. And I know that I've become a whole different person, and I can't change that now." Nathan replied. "If I were to betray him or just...quit working for him...none of us would last more than a day afterwards. Not me. Not you. Not Colby. And unfortunately, that's just the way it is now... And I don't know what to do about it..." He frowned. "I mean, I so badly want to see my son and get to know him and make up for all of these lost years, but just being around him makes me regret everything I've done. And I know that if I develop any kind of close relationship with either of you, he'll find out about it and do...hell knows what..."

"I understand," said Crystal. "Look, I've filled Colby in on everything I knew to tell him about you. I sort of left out the part of the addiction. Don't worry about us, we're okay and Voldemort, well, he's a different story. I don't want you to quit working for him, because I don't want you dead. Don't worry about getting close to us either. You just do your job, and I'll do mine. Out of all this, I want to take the safest route possible, although both of us know, there isn't really a 'safe route', but you know what I mean. Colby has asked about you, and I told. He's asked if he could visit you, and I don't him why he couldn't, but I did tell him, we would stop by your store every once in awhile so he could visit you."

Nathan nodded, "Okay. I just...need some time to think...that's all." He responded. "I wanna try and work this out- the right way. And before I can do that, I just need to figure out what the right way is." He took another drink. He got out of his chair and stood up, picking up his drink with him. "Well, I'd better go. I've got business to attend to. I'm gonna check up on something..." He said, thinking about what he had told the Death Eater who had walked in the other day about Tyler Jackson. He was interested in knowing if the man had gone after him or not.

Crystal nodded. "Be careful out there," she said. "But then again, you already know that," she said with a small smile. "I might as well be heading back home. There is no telling what Tiffy and Colby are doing," said Crystal with a laugh. "I guess I'll be seeing you soon then."

Nathan chuckled a little bit at her comment. He nodded to her as he left the pub, feeling a little unhappy that he couldn't've stayed longer. But he had to figure out what had happened to Tyler Jackson. As much as he wanted to lie low at this point, he wanted to make sure that the death eater who had gone after him, hadn't done too much damage yet. He had a feeling the boy might be able to help him a little bit.

Charles wandered in to the Three Broomsticks, still sore and bleeding from his duel with Tyler. He had awakened in the alleyway by the club to find that Tyler had gone somewhere. Charles wasn't sure how that was possible, considering the boy had had a bleeding chest wound from the Sectumsempra curse, but somehow he'd disappeared. Now Charles was in a foul mood as he staggered into the bar to get a good stiff drink. "Firewhiskey," he grunted at the bartender.

Nathan had just been walking out of the Three Broomsticks when Charles passed him and went inside. Nathan stopped once he realized who had just walked by him, and turned around, heading back to the pub. He opened the door again and walked inside. He immediately saw Charles sitting at the bar, who appeared to be injured and upset. He walked over to him with his eyebrows raised, and sat beside him at the bar. "You look like you just wrestled a bull. What happened? Is this about Jackson?" He asked, not really concerned about Charles's injuries and pain but about how it had happened.

Charles paused with the glass of firewhiskey at his lips and looked at Nathan. "Yeah, you could say that," he said. "We dueled. He knocked me out for a bit and I woke up and he was gone. Not sure how he got away, since I got 'im pretty good before that, but I don't know where he went." He downed the shot in one gulp.

Nathan watched him, disgusted at how he resorted to getting drunk after anything unpleasant happened to him. But he tossed that out of his mind and looked around strangely, wondering how the kid could've lasted an entire duel with Charles and then gotten away. "He just...wasn't there? You're sure he wasn't faking his unconsciousness or anything?" He asked, demandingly.

Charles spun on him, feeling more than a bit annoyed. "Well, no, I'm not sure what happened, since I passed out, didn't I? But I do know I hit him with a curse that ripped his chest open and left him bleeding! I found the puddle of blood, but he wasn't anywhere. Only thing I can think is he must've had help."

"Who would've helped this guy? He's betrayed the Dark Lord and the Death Eaters and I can imagine, with his history, no one from the Order would want to have anything to do with him." Nathan thought for a second. "Unless of course, they were just looking for information from him. He's seen both sides of action and probably knows more than most about both sides together. You have any idea who might want him for something like that?" He asked, thinking hard about past death eaters.

Charles shrugged. "I don't know," he said. "It could be anyone, really. For all I know, it could have been one of the vampires that like to hang out in that alley, and they were just attracted by the scent of blood in the air."

Nathan looked around, thinking about any possible culprits. He was depressed by the realization that it would be harder than he had thought to catch this guy. He was angry at Charles for having let such an easy situation to take advantage of, go to waste. "How'd this happen in the first place? You shouldn't've let him have any chance of taking you out..." Nathan replied, harshly, looking back at Charles.
