Claudia walked into the Three Broomsticks and looked around. It was a fairly dark and dingy place, not at all the upscale sort of establishment she'd become accustomed to. She remembered it from her days at Hogwarts, and it had hardly changed at all in the past 10 years. Typical, she thought. Still, it was certainly better than that rat-hole, the Hog's Head, she reasoned. Casually she strolled in and walked up to the bar. "I'll have a brandy. And it had better be top-shelf," she added coldly. The bartender nodded, then hurried off to get her drink. A minute later, he handed her a glass. She took a slow sip of the brandy, swishing it lightly between her teeth for a moment. "Well, it's not exactly a quality brandy," she said loftily, "but it'll do." She tossed a few galleons on the counter and walked over to one of the tables to sit down. Then she looked around, hoping to find something interesting...

Jake was sitting at the bar when a woman came beside him and asked the bartender for a brandy. From how she had talked to him, she seemed like his kinda girl, so he took his butterbeer and went over to her table when she left.
"Hello Miss." Jake said. "May I sit here?"

Claudia eyed the newcomer up and down. He was a bit too grungy for her taste, but he did at least look like someone who could be trouble. And she had come here looking for trouble. "Whatever," she replied in a disinterested tone. She sipped her brandy and regarded him coolly.

"Claudia," she replied, sipping her brandy. She set down her glass and looked casually at her perfectly manicured nails. She decided not to give him her last name just yet, just to keep him at a distance. "And do you have a name?" she asked.

"Bored out of my mind," Claudia said. "My, uh... boss... hasn't given me a single interesting thing to do since I came back to town. Things in France were so much more interesting. I wish I could have stayed. This place just feels so... dead." She took another sip of brandy and eyed him suspiciously. "What do you want, anyway?"

Claudia raised her eyebrows at him. "Oooh, slick," she said, smiling. She took another sip of her brandy, finishing the glass. She waved her hand at the bartender. "I'll have another brandy, and make it quick!" Turning back to Jake, she perched her chin on her hand and looked at him curiously. "So tell me, Slick, what do you do?"

Claudia frowned slightly. "A musician?" she said, wrinkling her brow in distaste. She took a long sip of her brandy and looked at him appraisingly. "No wonder you're slick." She flicked a lock of her hair over her shoulder. Somehow she thought there was something familiar about this guy. She'd heard mention of a musician among the Dark Lord's forces--one who was not among his most favored Death Eaters... "You work for him, don't you?" she said bluntly. "For the Dark Lord."

"Oh, you're just full of slick comments tonight, aren't you, Jake?" she said smiling. "Yes, I work for him. My main job is as an Interrogator. I get information out of people, one way or another." She leaned back and looked at him. "And what do you do for him?"

Claudia glared at him. "Charming offer, really, but no thank you," she said coldly. "I can seduce any guy I want without it, and frankly, the idea of only going out at night is a bit too limiting for me." She looked at him for a moment. She was sure this was the Jake that the Dark Lord had spoken about, but she had not been aware that he was a vampire. "How long have you been a vampire, anyway? Who sired you?"

Claudia raised an eyebrow. She'd heard quite a lot about Morgana Fontana, Evan Dorsche, and the Army of Darkness. Enough to question Jake's true loyalty. But she kept silent. "Morgana? I believe I've heard of her. She's quite a beauty, isn't she?" She leaned her elbow on the table. "Well, really, you do have some great advantages over the rest of us now. Have you spoken to the Dark Lord about your newly acquired skills? I'm sure he'd be most interested to know about this."
