Sabrina had received permission to visit Diagon Alley by Floo Network, but she instead toook a detour to Knockturn Alley. Wearing a hood to cover her face, she wandered down the dark, narrow street, looking for the store known as Borgin & Burkes. When she saw it, she walked over and opened the door hesitantly.
The store was dark and cluttered, with cobwebs that seemed deliberately strung from ceilings and book cases. She walked over to the first book case and scanned the titles, looking for what she needed. Finally she found them--Dark Magic and How to Use It for Profit and Revenge, by Violet Indigo, and Dark Spells for Dummies, by Damien Enigma. They were basically beginner's books, but she needed to start somewhere...
She brought them up to the counter, where the creepy-looking clerk leered at her. She kept her head bowed and silently handed him the money. Then she walked out with her books in a small paper bag.

Emily bumped into a girl. She noticed that she had to be a young girl. "You know this is not the most respectable places for a girl like you to be in." she said politely.

Sabrina looked up at the woman. "I...I know. I just needed to pick up something. I'll be going now." She tried to brush past her.

Emily looked at the girl. "Look, I don't mean to scare you. I won't hurt you, but other's will, just watch your back, okay?"

"I-I know," Sabrina said. "I'll be careful, thanks."

"Word to the wise, don't look scared either. Right now, to me, you looked scared. If anyone sees you scared, they'll take that chance to attack. Trust me, it happened to me whenever I went to Hogwarts. Just show them you're not scared, don't walk too fast, hold your head high, and if anyone speaks to you, keep it short, don't studder, or show nervousness in your voice. Be stern when you talk." commented Emily.

Sabrina nodded her head. "OK, thanks," she said. She decided to act a little like Professor Rothschild would, since she looked like she could walk down Knockturn Alley without being bothered by anyone. So she took a deep breath, stood up straight with her head held high, and a cool expression on her face. "Is this better?"

Emily laughed a little. "Yes it is. I'm Emily Alchemia by the way." she said holding out her hand. "I'll be around Hogwarts some, so if you need anything, you can just let me know, and I'll take care of it." she said grinning.

Sabrina smiled. "Thanks, Emily. I'm Sabrina." She resumed the cool expression. "I'd better get going now."

"See ya," Sabrina said. She turned and walked with as much authority as she could manage, until she finally was out of Knockturn Alley and back into the brighter street of Diagon Alley.
