Studying for Exams (Rori)

[Landon Travis]

Landon sat in the library with a few of his textbooks, looking over some random information before Rori arrived. He sighed as he realized how rough the next few days might be with all the studying and stuff. Boy, did he hate exams.

[Rori Logan]

Rori carried a few of her textbooks with her to the library and a few extra scrolls and a pen so she could possibly take notes if she needed to. She found Landon sitting in the library already looking through a book. "Hey," she said as she sat her books down and took a seat across from him. "Looks like someone is off to an early start.

[Landon Travis]

"Yeah, I just thought I'd go ahead and start. I seriously wanna get this over with as soon as possible." Landon replied, looking through the book only half-interested with what he was reading. "What do you think we should start with first?" He asked, closing the book.

[Rori Logan]

"Well, the hardest will probably be potions, so I guess we can start there," said Rori. She picked out her potions book.

[Landon Travis]

"Okay, great." Landon replied, sarcastically. "I pretty much already know I'm gonna fail that one anyways, so I've got nothing to lose." He shrugged as he opened up his potions book. "You wanna just switch off asking questions?"

((Well, I figure we can have some fun while we do this, so we could just like look up random potions on Mugglenet's Encyclopedia or HP Lexicon for questions, unless of course you just wanna make up random potions. Your choice. ))

[Rori Logan]

Rori laughed. "I don't think you'll fail, you just have to read the instructions more carefully," she said shrugging. "Okay, first question. What potion uses Fluxweed, boomslang skin, and Knotgrass as some of the ingredients?"

[Landon Travis]

Landon nodded, "I do know this one. Its the Polyjuice Potion, right?" He asked, pretty sure he had heard Slughorn talking about it in at least one of his lessons. "First question for you. What is the most important ingredient in the potion used to revive victims of petrification?" He asked, reading from his book.

[Rori Logan]

"Eh, I don't really know this one," said Rori. "I'm just going to guess. Mandrakes? Or something dealing with them?"

[Landon Travis]

"Yep. Good one." Landon answered, smiling shortly. "Next one?" He asked, waiting for the following question.

[Rori Logan]

Rori grinned. "Okay, um, what does the polyjuice potion do excatly and what is the major ingredient?"

[Landon Travis]

"Well, I know it allows you to change your body's form into someone else's. But about the main ingredient...I'm not sure." Landon replied, shaking his head.

[Rori Logan]

"It's the person's hair," said Rori. "You got the other half right," she said with a grin. "Okay, your turn to ask me a question."

[Landon Travis]

"Okay..." Landon said, searching through the pages of his book for some information about any potion that would be worth asking a question about. "What is the name of the potion that is used to keep werewolves sane and under control after they transform and when must it be drank in order to work to its full potential?" He asked her.

[Rori Logan]

"The potion that keeps werewolves sane when they change," repeated Rori. She thought for a moment. "Wolf's Bane, maybe?"

[Landon Travis]

"Yep, good job again." Landon said, grinning. His glance lingered on Rori for a moment. He thought about the other day when she had confessed that she used to like him. Did he really have stronger feelings for her too? A part of him wanted to say "yes", but he quickly realized what he was doing looked away and swallowed hard, blushing a little bit. It was stupid and she had already admitted that her crush was over. "Okay, next question. I'm starting to get a good feeling that I might know more about Potions than I thought I did." He grinned slightly.

[Rori Logan]

Rori grinned and glanced back down at the book, not catching Landon's glance linger a bit more. Rori then laughed. "An easy way to remember that one is to keep werewolves sane, use Wolf's Bane! It sort of rhymes," she said still laughing. "Yeah, sorry bout that. I just had a moment there. Anyway, you're question. What are four ingredients in the Boil - Cure Potion?"

[Landon Travis]

Landon laughed, "No, really, that's good." He added, before she asked him the next question. "Okay, boil-cure potion..." He thought for a moment. "God, I have no idea." He finally said, shaking his head. "Maybe I got too excited too soon."

[Rori Logan]

Rori laughed. "Poor Landon. I'll give you a chance to look it up. I wouldn't have known it either, so don't feel bad."

[Landon Travis]

Landon grinned as he flipped through the pages of his book once again, to find the Boil cure potion. "Aha!" He exclaimed when he found the page on the particular potion. He read it aloud, "The main ingredients are dried nettles, crushed snake fangs, stewed horned slugs, and porcupine quills." He shrugged, "Hmm...interesting. I never would have guessed that." He found a new page and looked back up at Rori. "Okay, you're the smarter of us two anyways when it comes to this stuff, so let's get back to you." He grinned. "Which potion can only be produced by the Sorcerer's Stone?"

[Rori Logan]

Rori grinned. "Sorcerer's Stone? Oh jeez, I just read about this," said Rori putting her head in her hands. "Flamel is the one who makes it. Something life." Rori thought again. "Elixir of Life?"
