Gilderoy was in the trophy room looking at the magnificent trophies behind the glass of the display shelves. "Wow...." He muttered as he gazed at the names of many of his great predecessor of greatness. Maybe I'll be up there someday! He thought, excitedly. He pictured himself grinning on the front of the Daily Prophet holding a trophy engraved with the words "Greatest Person...Ever- Gilderoy Lockhart". That would be after he had won "Best Smile in Britain", of course. He grinned, stupidly.

Lucius walked into the trophy room. His father, Minos Malfoy, ((yes, I just made that name up, lol)) had several trophies which he'd earned during his time at Hogwarts and Lucius went by weekly to make sure they were properly dusted and polished. Not that he did the work himself, of course, but he did like to check that the work was being done. He walked in and saw a boy a few years younger than himself peering at the trophies. "What are you doing in here? Keep your hands off that trophy!" he said, pointing at his father's trophy.

Gilderoy looked a bit startled by the other boy's entrance. But, being Gilderoy Lockhart, he never frowned. Actually, all he ever did was grin. Just like the time where he fell out of a tree on the grounds in his first year. He wasn't really hurt that badly, but he thought about frowning. He almost even wanted to. But he couldn't. He just grinned. His brain didn't know quite how to perform the seemingly impossible action. But that's a different story. "Oh, I'm sorry. Did I offend you?" Gilderoy asked, grinning. "Do you know this man?" He asked the boy, in awe. "He does have quite excellent hair."

"That's your hair, you twit! You're looking at your reflection!" said Lucius, scowling. What was wrong with this insipid boy, anyway? He seemed completely unable to stop smiling. Lucius, however, never really smiled. He snatched the trophy away from him and polished the fingerprints away with his robe. "I'm Head Boy, you know. What is your name?"

"Aha!" Gilderoy exclaimed, chuckling as he realized it was his own face reflecting off the trophy. He fiddled with his hair and brushed it back with his hand. He turned back to Lucius as he took the trophy away. "Gilderoy Lockhart!" He announced as if he were a ringmaster announcing the next act. "That's my name, of course! Don't you know who I am?" He asked, surprised, as he pulled back his robe, put his hands on his hips and acted like he was posing for his next photoshoot.

"And why should I?" Lucius said coldly, narrowing his eyes at the foolish boy. "I make it a point not to socialize with Hufflepuffs. Or Ravenclaws, or Gryffindors, for that matter. I'm Lucius Malfoy, and this is my father's trophy, awarded for excellence in academics. Now give me one reason why I shouldn't give you a detention!"

Gilderoy faked chuckled a few times, a bit nervous at getting detention for the first time. Why was this boy, Lucius, so mean? "I could slip you a few shampooing techniques? Autograph a picture...eh?" He grinned and nudged Lucius, trying to tempt him. "I might even have an extra manuscript version of my first book I'm publishing soon, laying around my dorm."

"Whyever would I want your autograph?" Lucius sneered. "And what could you write a book about? Why, I should... wait, did you say shampooing techniques? Hey, you wouldn't happen to know of anything for split ends? I like my hair long, but I have this problem with split ends..."

Gilderoy made an even bigger grin, happy to have struck the boy's interest. "Well, I could probably hook you up with some nice and very expensive- may I add- shampoo. And if that doesn't work I'm sure my moth-...erm...associate could help you with your problems."

"Hmmm. Well, if you could get me some of that shampoo, I suppose we can let this one slide. This time," he added, lifting his chin up snobbishly. "But no one can know about it. The other Slytherins would laugh if they knew I was getting shampoo from a Hufflepuff."

"Well, then tell them you got it from a Ravenclaw!" Gilderoy replied. This boy really isn't very smart, He thought, as he wrote down Lucius's order. "It will be delivered to you by owl sometime next week." He grinned.

Lucius shook his head. This kid was clearly one of the dimmest people he'd ever had the misfortune to run across. "I'm a Slytherin, I only talk with Slytherins." He tossed his head scornfully and tried not to think how Narcissa would react if she knew he was even talking to this boy. "But I'll look forward to receiving the shampoo. And if it doesn't work... well, let's just hope it does," he said coldly.

Gilderoy shrugged, still grinning. "Suit yourself, then." He gazed around for a few moments, not knowing what to do. Suddenly he spotted something hanging around near Lucius. "Oh dear! A spider!" Lockhart announced, jumping in fright. He swatted the air right in front of the boy's face trying to get rid of the spider. It dropped down from the web it was crawling on and landed on the trophy that Lucius was holding. Gilderoy slapped his hand against the trophy immediately after he saw the spider drop. He had nailed it. It was lying dead on the trophy, a disgusting sight. "Ooooh! I got it!" He clapped his hands together in excitement.

Lucius stared at him in utter disgust. "You... idiot!" he sputtered. "I cannot believe you just... Look at this! This is repulsive! Clean it up this instant!" He thrust the trophy at Gilderoy and glared at the foolish boy. "Now come on, you do know your cleaning charms, don't you?"

Gilderoy scratched his head for a second, "Cleaning charms? Hmm....I think I might remember Professor Wright saying something about them...Oh! I know!" He flicked his wand and shampoo started pouring out of the end of it in a steady flow onto the trophy. After a few moments the trophy was drenched in shampoo and was quite sticky. "Oops...that didn't work. Maybe if we rinse and repeat...." He shrugged.

((ROFL!))
"Augh!" Lucius cried, brushing off some of the sticky shampoo that had splattered on his robe. "You incompetent... idiotic... imbecilic..." he sputtered. He shook his head in irritation and took out his own wand. "Aguamenti!" he said, and a fountain of water spurted cleanly out of his wand and onto the trophy, rinsing away the shampoo. "Honestly, are you good at anything except making a fool of yourself?"

(I don't care, its up to Lucius.)
Imbecilic? Incompetent? Gilderoy could've sworn he'd heard those words before... He brushed the small bubbles of shampoo off of his robe. "Actually, yes!" He replied to Lucius's question. "I'm quite talented at memory charms, stylish hair cutting, shampoo design, and of course, my most prized skill, smiling! Oooh! And back when I was six, I was honored to be named the Best Two Hand Touch Rugby Player in my division! Though I was out for half the season with a broken leg..." He reminisced.

((Fine by me...))
"No, I meant are you good at anything useful?" Lucius said harshly. "Honestly... you really are quite clueless, aren't you? Although... memory charms can be a bit useful..." He filed that little piece of information away for future use. An idiot who was good at memory charms could come in handy... Shaking his head, he waved his wand and made the water disappear, then set the now sparkling trophy back on its shelf. "I strongly suggest you get back to your common room now before I give you a detention just for being stupid."

((YAY!))
"Picking on 3rd year Hufflepuffs, that really is low.I thought you only picked on Gryffindors,I was wrong I see.Alos giving him a detenion, that would be a misuse of the headboy powers witch you shouldnt have.If you gave him one what would hhe sa to a professor,'Becuse Malfoy gave me a detenion for being stupid.'I dont think so."Yuna said
