"After I fed him, maybe I can take him for a little tour around the school before we go to the feast," Isabella said, finishing her eggs and starting on her potatoes. "I'm already anxious to get out of this bed."

Voltaire looked up looking bemused. "No you're not." he stated "He's not taking a tour of anything he's only ...13 hours old!" He wasn't liking where this was going...

"Oh, but you certainly can't expect me to just lie here in this bed like some helpless female," Isabella said, raising her eyebrow at him. "I'll be perfectly fine once I finish eating."

"No you won't, and If you think for a moment I'm going to let you get up and rip open your gut just because you think you feel helpless, then your sadly mistaken." he said frowning at her. "You need more rest." he finished as Conor grew tried of sucking his finger and harrumphed.

"Don't be ridiculous. It's not like I had a C-section or anything. It was a perfectly normal birth, and a pretty easy one at that. I mean, yeah, it hurt, but I was expecting to be in labor for 18 hours or something, and it was really only a few hours. I'm perfectly fine."

"I don't think so, And if you did have a C- section, much less would I let you up out of bed for more than five minutes ....for three months. It's a tramatic thing giving birth! No there's no way i'm letting you walk up or down the stairs today. forget it." he said stubbornly.

Isabella put down her fork. "OK, you are being so... male!" She lowered her voice, keeping it smooth and melodic so as not to upset the baby. "It's so typical of you men to think that a woman is some helpless thing who can't handle a little thing like giving birth. Voltaire, you know full well that I am stronger than you are. You can't force me to stay in this bed."

Voltaire raised an eyebrow and said "Oh being Male am I? little thing like child birth? I'm sorry but I do believe now you seem cocky! No I refuse to let you up and about today, much less attent that funeral party feast that's going to be later on!" he said standing up and pacing with his baby.

"Wait... you 'refuse to let me'?" Isabella repeated, outraged. "Voltaire, you should know me well enough by now to know that you don't 'let' me do anything. Are you giving me orders now? Making my decisions for me? I'm sorry, darling, but that is completely unacceptable. I'm not some simpering female who just does whatever her husband tells her to." She had finished eating by now, and she drank a little bit of pumpkin juice, before taking her wand and causing the tray to move over to the bedside table.

"None sense! now you're misconstruing what I just said! I never said about you being simpering! You need your rest! there's no way you can go trapezing up and down seven flights of stairs, carry a baby and any other supplies you might need, then deal with hundred or so raving and ranting brats and the few emotionally un balanced, today of all days! You need One day ONE BLEEDING DAY!" he said a firmly, trying not to further upset Conor. who had begun to whimper.

Isabella frowned. "I hate being helpless!" she said. "I know if I put my mind to it, I can get around just fine... maybe I can't walk all over the castle, but you can't expect me to lie around like an invalid. That's just not me. I don't let things slow me down, and I want to start working off some of this weight. I feel disgusting, since now I don't even have the baby inside of me for an excuse. I'm just fat and empty." She sniffled.

"You are not an Invalid! besides, You know full well that if you get up, you will end up going all around the castle." Voltaire sat back down and handed over a now crying in earnest son of his. He looked at her and said "I would do it myself, but I'm not equipped for such a feat." he said seriously.

Isabella melted. "OK, for now, I'll stay in bed, but I will get up and walk around later, even if it's just around the hospital wing. I feel terribly about Natalie, and I'd like to visit with her, if possible." She took a quick drink from her pumpkin juice, then held out her arms. "Here, give him to me. I'll feed him."

Voltaire placed his son in his wife's arms and then said "maybe I can convince her to come visit you later.." he said pondering this exaggeratedly.

Isabella took Conor and pressed a kiss on his forehead. Then she untied the front of her dressing gown and lowered the baby to her breast. He fumbled for a moment, then began to feed. "Well, I doubt that. Knowing her, I don't think she'll be walking around much for a while. She's had an awful time of it. But I'm interested to meet her father. How is it he's alive again?"

"Well...If i invite her i'll end up having to invite him... He faked his own death, It seems when Natalie warned him, he took her warning to heart, only to pretend he was end and put her and her sister through all that hell." he said pouting angerly. "To say the least I don't much care for him..." he said lamely.

"Well, he must have been desperate to do something like that. And at least, now Natalie isn't alone. I don't think she'd be able to stand losing all of her family. Losing her sister has to hurt like hell... but at least she has her father back," Isabella said, staring down at Conor as he fed.

"A mild consolation, whe's she's finally proven wrong about her visions, only to have another proven right, maybe not exactly as she had seen it... but you know how Natalie is, it won't matter as long as it happened." he said looking at his son eat breakfast.

"I don't think that her visions were proven wrong," Isabella said. "What she saw did happen, right? She just read it wrong. She interpreted it just as she was supposed to. If the person who tried to kill him believed he was dead, that's what Natalie would think when she saw it. Sometimes it's just more complicated than it appears." She switched Conor to the other side; he whimpered slightly as she did, but he soon quieted and continued to feed. Looking down at her son, she sighed happily. "I just can't stop looking at him."
