If he had it all to do over again, he'd like to think he'd treat her with more regard. But that didn't appear to be the case as he followed her to her room. He lusted after her with a force quite similar to when they were younger, only now the arrogant swagger of youth was replaced with the confidence of a man who knew what he was doing. He pinned her to the wall, holding her hands firmly above her head, trailing his lips across her collarbone. Even as her moans brushed his ear, Christian considered his options for her demise. He wanted more information before it came to that, but he wasn't so distracted by her beauty that he lost sight of his goal.

Diana wasn't the same wide eyed little girl she had been when they had their brief affair before. She was far more confident about her body and how to use it. She let Christian pin her against the wall, and his actions indeed elicited small moans, but she was far from a casual observer during their new tryst.
She pushed him backward slightly then pounced almost like an animal with it's prey. She battled for dominance.
She screamed his name as pleasure rippled through her, but she didn't stop. If this were a dream she'd milk it for all it was worth. She wasn't going to have him leave her in the middle of the night again.

She attacked him zealously as they entangled their bodies, fighting for control. He enjoyed her aggressive nature and would surrender to her for a moment before flipping the tables and regaining command. Neither would submit for long as their rendezvous was, in actuality, a bid for power. When it was over Christian was drained. His energy gone and his head swimming with the visions of Diana's naked body contorting in ecstasy, Christian's eyes drooped and soon he was breathing heavily in sleep.

She took it as a personal victory that he fell asleep before she did, but that wasn't saying much as she barely had any energy herself.
She also had the driving fear that if she fell asleep he'd be gone when she woke up, and she wasn't going to let that happen to her again. She had other plans for him. She needed information and while their tryst had been the most memorable of Diana's to date, she couldn't let her feelings for this man destroy her as they once did.
Careful not to wake him she slipped from the bed to get her wand then used a spell to ensure he'd stay sleeping.
"Incarcerous." she whispered anyway knowing he wouldn't wake for some time.
She took that time to nap (briefly), eat, refuel on coffee, and shower.
It wasn't the first time she had a naked man at her mercy, but Christian certainly outdid the others.
She gathered everything else she thought she might need, then took her spell off of him waiting til he woke.

Her spell was redundant as she had completely wiped any remaining energy he had. It was a foolish error on his part, falling asleep. When he woke he felt the binds on his wrists and his eyes shot open. He searched the room and found Diana was waiting for him. His eyebrows raised. "I should have guessed you'd be into bondage," he said playfully, though he was secretly cursing himself for letting down his guard.

Redundant or not, she wasn't taking any chances. She sat in a chair across from him, her hair was pulled up, she wore a large cashmere sweater and kept her legs bare. She was also sipping on coffee.
"Good you're awake." she smiled. After his bondage comment she smiled further, "Business first, but if you play your cards right." she teased.
"There are a number of ways we could do this..." she said her fingers lightly skimming over a set of knives she had laid out. She tapped the tray, then chewed the inside of her cheek, "Pain isn't your weakness." She said as though she had known this already.
"A man like you has no weakness." she said confidently bringing her fingers to his lap as lightly as she had to the knives. "So what are we to do...?"

"I don't suppose if I suggested you untie me, that you'd go for that," he answered. His eyes bore into her, searching for some hint of what she wanted from him. She had moved his wand to the far table, not that he would have been able to reach it if it were still on the nightstand, what with him being tied up. "What is it you're wanting, Diana?" He wasn't frightened or even worried. He was simply curious. Anything she asked him would only give him more clues to her mysterious reinvention.

She waved away his request for release and moved toward her bag on the desk. She shuffled around before pulling out a small vial.
"The truth Christian. I've learned it's not as simple as asking for it...sometimes you have to go to great lengths." she explained while walking back toward him.
"Veritiserum." she said a delicate eyebrow raised, " Drink it, answer a few questions, and you're free to go."

Christian remained calm as she withdrew the vial of Veritaserum. "You clever siren," he quipped. "Is this a turn taking game? I tell you my secrets, you tell me yours?" He glanced again to his wand resting on the table much to far for him to reach it.

"Sorry lover, my secrets aren't entirely mine to share, and while I know that may be the case for you as well...I don't intend to play fair."
She brought the vial to his mouth, "Drink up darling."

Christian wasn't getting out of this one so easily. Luckily, the use of Veritaserum and Legilimency were an industry hazard and he had long been studying Occlumency to combat any troubles that might come his way. He was by no means fluent in this form of magic, but he could muster the skill from time to time if he really focused. In place of resisting the drink Christian cleared his mind, his emotions easily controlled.

Surprisingly enough, Diana didn't know about Christian's past, or his current line of work. If she did she never would have gone as far as she had. But she was instinctively paranoid after years of necessary paranoia.
Once she was sure he had swallowed the potion she waited for it to take affect. For a woman who had only hours ago been screaming Christian's name as she fell apart in his arms she showed no such familiarity now.
"Shall we begin?" she asked then continued without waiting for an answer, she took a sip of her coffee, sighed and asked, " What made you leave sixteen years ago in the middle of the night?"

For someone who didn't want to dwell on the past and refused to recount the last 16 years of her life when asked in polite conversation, Diana chose an interesting first question. The answer was innocent enough and required no amount of Occlumency. "I grew bored and my father grew ill, so I left to help take care of the family's business. They sent me to Bosnia for a year and a half."

Diana didn't want to dwell on her past, his was fair game. But that wasn't the reason she asked, she needed a test question, something "uncomfortable" but not too deep before the real questioning began.
The fact that he grew bored didn't hurt Diana as it might have hurt another woman, but that he had been sent to Bosnia for a year and a half explained why she hadn't been able to get a hold of him while she went through her pregnancy and that was a question she had wondered about often enough.
"Good enough." she answered indicating that she was satisfied with his answer, or rather that the veritaserum was working. "What were you doing at the inn when I saw you the other night?"

"I had a meeting with a client," he said bluntly.

"Did you know I'd be there?" she asked casually. She was mildly curious about his business, his life, but it wasn't important, she didn't intend to carry on with him, but she needed to know if he was after her, if he had talked about her with anyone.

He pulled himself up slightly on the bed, allowing some slack on his arms as they remained bound to the headboard. "No," he replied coolly. "That was a pleasant surprise. Are you always this terribly paranoid, or is there something about me that brings it out in you?"

"It doesn't matter since I'll be erasing this conversation from your memory, but I will oblige you. Yes I am paranoid, not saying you aren't special." she cooed.
"Why did you ask me out tonight?"

That would complicate things a bit. He had no defense against a memory charm, especially in his current predicament. If she managed to gain knowledge of anything vital to his contract, he wouldn't remember to counteract the damage. He found it much more difficult to keep his mind clear when in the background he was trying to figure a way out of the ropes that strapped him to the bed.
"You were intriguing and I was curious as to what had happened to make you so cold since we last met."

"I wasn't cold an hour ago." she reminded him. That was far from the first time he had alluded to her being broken or cold and she didn't like it, even if it was true. She had to be cold. She had to be hard. It was the only way she could have survived, but when she thought about her daughter - their daughter - didn't she deserve better than that?
Diana had a far off look as she thought about Alyx, but it was gone in an instant as she remembered her task.
"Have you told anyone where I am?"
