As it turned out, Sean didn't even need to ask Dani any questions. One glance at her mother, who seemed to trust Sean, and her eyes moved to the MLE officer, who crouched a bit to her eye level with her.
"I was visiting my mum at her work, and a big bang happened and everyone was running and my dad's friend grabbed me. He took me to my dad, and he stayed most the time. He was Irish. He didn't tell me his name." She was guessing at Sean's questions before he could ask, the more she talked, the more she leaned into Aurelia and let tears fall down her cheeks.
She went on, open about everything- how Pavel had hit her for backtalking, how he'd left her tied to a chair, and how she started feeling sick... she was alone with the Irish man, who she liked better than her dad because he wasn't as mean. And then, she'd woken up here.

Sean notated everything, an enchanted quill out of Dani's sight so as not to distract her.
What he got out of this was that the threat wasn't over, that someone might come back for her. They needed to find the Irish man she spoke of, who'd brought her here. He'd check with the reception witch on the way out for a description maybe a little clearer than Dani's.
"Thank you, Danica. That's really helpful. We're going to have an MLE officer stay with you while you're here, okay? You did really well. You were very brave, and you should be proud of yourself." He thanked Aurelia, too, promising that he would be in touch if they needed anything else, and that they would make sure Dani was safe now.
He glanced at Henri, letting him know that he was free to take over now as he made his exit.

Aurelia listened to Dani's story, and felt herself burning with anger when she mentioned how Pavel had hit her. She remembered all too well how she had suffered at Pavel's hands, and how she had decided to leave him because she feared what he would do to her daughter. She had never for a moment doubted that she had made the right decision, but any remaining doubt was now completely erased. Pavel was a monster, and she and her daughter were better off without him.
Aurelia gripped Dani's hand, fighting back tears for what her little girl had gone through. She was grateful that at least someone involved in the whole incident had been kind to her, even if that person had been a complete stranger. Thanks to the Irishman, Aurelia had her daughter back... even if he had also been responsible for her kidnapping in the first place.
She looked to the door, where Henri was standing by, waiting. She extended her hand to him, a tearful smile on her face. Now that Pavel was behind bars, maybe they finally could all be the family that they should have always been.

Henri was finally relieved that the whole situation was going to be over. If anything, Henri wanted to kill Pavel himself but he knew that was not the answer. Pavel would receive the justice he deserved.
Arriving at the hospital, Henri allowed Aurelia to have time with Dani alone. He understood that Dani was scared and rightfully so. "Let me know what else needs to be done," he told Sean before he left. Henri would make sure to help that anyone who helped in this would be captured.
Leaning on the doorway, Henri watched Aurelia and Dani. He could feel a lump in his throat watching them. He wanted nothing more than to make sure that they were well protected. Part of him blamed himself for Dani going missing, although he couldn't have really prevented that from happening. Seeing Aurelia extend her hand, Henri moved forward and placed his hand in hers. He squeezed it, then touched Dani's hair. "Ah, ma petite princesse," he said in a quiet voice. "You are alright now." He bowed his head slightly and gently placed a small kiss on her hair. Henri looked between Aurelia and Dani and gave them a gentle smile.
