It was late at night, about a week or so into Camp. So far, camp had been fun, but her cabin mates were a bit bland, in her opinion. Brenda had left them mostly untouched since Niela had challenged her. But Niela figured Brenda was just biding her time. But now she was bored. Activities were finished for the night and the girls were in their bunks, some reading, others writing.
Niela, though, was laying on her back, tossing a small ball into the air and catching it again, summoning it back to her hand if it fell. She was bored. Nothing interesting ever happened after hours in this cabin. But that was about to change. Never let an Irish girl get bored, she will find ways to entertain herself.
Niela sudden sat up and looked around at the other girls in her cabin.
"Enough is enough. I'm bored, lets do something. We aren't aloud to leave the cabin, but that shouldn't stop us from doing something in here. A game?"
A smirk spread across her face.
"I've never? or Truth or Dare?"

Leyla was reading her book, or trying to anyways. It was the same book she'd had with her when she saw Collin. She tried to concentrate but ended up reading the same sentence over and over again. After reading it fifteen times over, she gave up and merely gazed at the book as she thought back to her time with Collin. She was still worried that Toby would find out and didn't know what he would do. Collin and Toby were friends. Toby had enough of a problem if boys even talked to her. But what would happen when his best friend kissed his little sister? She was to scared to find out.
She was pulled out of her thoughts as the Gryffindor girl spoke up. She didn't know her very well but she seemed nice enough. She looked over and furrowed her brow at her suggestion.
"I don't think I've ever played either of those. How do you play?" She asked, hoping if they played a game she could get her mind off Collin. She really didn't need to stress about that right now.

Brenda had been feigning sleep in her bed, with her face to the wall and her back facing the irritating little girls she was supposed to be counseling. It really was kind of an elaborate joke, the thought of Brenda counseling young, impressionable girls. Only it had stopped being funny a long time ago.
Basically, she was just waiting until the girls went to bed, so she could slip out and head over to the Leaky Cauldron, where she was supposed to meet her latest fling. But suddenly, she heard one of the girls say the magic words--"Truth or Dare."
She sat up abruptly, rolling her eyes at Leyla's incredibly naive question. Seriously, did Toby realize that he was responsible for making his sister into such a naive little wimp?
"Truth or Dare is pretty self-explanatory," Brenda said in a condescending tone. "Each person gets to ask someone else if they want to do a dare that they make up, or if they want to answer a question about something secret. I think we should play that."
Maybe she could get some good gossip this way, if nothing else.

Niela looked at Brenda, a bit surprised that she seemed so excited about the idea of playing it. She realized it shouldn't surprise her, considering who Brenda was, but it made her realize that she and Brenda might be a bit more alike than she first thought, which was scary.
But, Brenda had agreed with the game, so she figured maybe it could be fun. Who knew, maybe she could get some dirt on Brenda. Niela glanced around at the other girls in the cabin, gauging their reactions to it, but decided to go for it anyways.
"Alright, I brought it up, and obviously, Little Leyla needs a demonstration of how the game works. So, Brenda, Truth or dare?"

"Truth," Brenda said boldly. She always chose truth. While many people would have thought she would want to keep her secrets to herself, Brenda wasn't ashamed of anything she had done. She didn't like to hold anything back, and she never pretended to be anything that she wasn't. In some ways, she was even proud of her reputation and the bad things she had done... but she liked to let other people think that she wasn't.

Leyla frowned as Brenda rolled her eyes at her. She must be the only one in the room that didn't know how to play the game. She listened to her description of the game and was instantly intriguied. She hadn't played before but she could definitely use some distractions.
"Sounds like fun. I want to play." She said as she closed her book and sat up. She watched the other two in facination.

Niela smirked. At least this was more interesting than sitting and staring at the ceiling like she had been doing. She swung her legs around to hang off of her bunk so she was fully facing Brenda and leaned forward onto her knees. She decided to start easy, so that the game could build up and not end quickly.
"I'll start easy. Who, in your opinion, is the hottest teacher at school?"

"Male or female?" Brenda quipped, a sly smirk on her face.
The question was not all that interesting, at least as far as Brenda was concerned. It was safe. But she also suspected it was a way to make things easier on Leyla, to make the game seem more innocent than it sometimes could be. Whatever. She was going to have fun with it.
"Female, definitely Professor Long. Male... well, the easy and obvious answer is Professor Renneau. But I think he's a little too pretty. I think Professor St. Clare is hot in that sexy, repressed kind of way... But I'm going with Professor Voltaire Rothschild. He's got that dark, mysterious, vaguely unbalanced sexiness going for him."

Niela nodded, satisfied enough with the answer. She, at the very least, had to agree with her on who was the hottest male teacher. She then turned to Leyla.
"Get the idea of it?"
She smiled and turned back to Brenda.
"Your turn to choose."

Leyla watched in curiousity as Niela asked her question. She thought it was an odd question, but then again she never looked at any of the professors in that way. She knew some of the girls around school were attracted to a few of their professors but Leyla thought the age ruled out any attraction for her. Niela seemed to agree with Brenda's choice, however.
"Yeah, I think I get it." Leyla said and looked to Brenda for her turn. She wondered if she would get picked next and started contemplating her answer ahead of time.

Brenda smiled and looked back and forth between the two girls. Finally, camp was starting to be fun. She almost regretted that she wouldn't be going back to school next year, because she wouldn't be able to keep making the other girls' lives miserable. She was sure she'd find new and different ways of entertaining herself, but she did so enjoy gossip and scandal--especially if she got to be at the center of it.
"Hmm, I don't know," she said, focusing on the redhead, whose name she still hadn't actually bothered to learn. "I think maybe we should show her a dare, too, don't you think? That is, if you want to pick Dare."

She smirked again.
"I, unlike people who always choose truth, am not a coward. Of course I will take a dare."
A thin like between courage and stupidity? Possibly in this case. Niela never liked to back down on a challenge. She didn't have a problem choosing truth, but always loved to take a dare. And she was ready for it.

Brenda raised an eyebrow, but her smirk widened. "Oh, if you think Truth is a cowardly option, then you're more naive than Leyla here. Dare is the fun option... it's false bravery. It's easy to hide when you're doing something that's supposed to be brave. Anyone can accept a challenge. But to tell the truth... really tell the truth and expose your darkest secrets... that takes real bravery. Of course, that doesn't happen when you're only asked silly, impersonal questions like Who's the hottest teacher?" she said mockingly.
Brenda swung her long legs down to the floor, then dropped down to her knees. She reached under her bed and pulled out her suitcase, opened it and took out a long brown bag. After kicking the suitcase back under the bed, she stood up and walked to the middle of the floor and sat down, cross-legged. Nodding to the other girls to join her, she opened the bag and pulled out a bottle of Ogden's Old Firewhiskey.
"OK, Red," she said, looking at Niela. "I dare you to drink from that bottle for a full thirty seconds without stopping."

Niela just burst out laughing. This dare was rediculous to her. She grabbed the bottle, testing its weight of it a her fit of laughter died down.
"Alright, lady. Let me get this straight. You want to dare an irish girl, a race known for their drinking to drink for thirty seconds? You best have a second bottle, cause this one won't last that long."
Niela smiled and pulled out the cork of the bottle with a nice pop. She raised the bottle high in Brenda's direction.
"Pog mo thoin, lass."
And with that, the irish teen began doing something she had practically been raised to do, drinking. In ten seconds, she had already downed a good portion of the bottle. She might not finish it in the thirty seconds, but was making good head way.

Leyla listened quietly to the two of them bicker about what was more brave: truth or dare. She thought it was kind of ridiculous but she'd never played so she wasn't going to voice an opinion for either option. She watched with wide eyes as Brenda took out a bottle of firewhiskey. Being the sheltered child she was, she'd never had alcohol. It wasn't even fully thanks to Toby, she just never saw a need to drink.
She watched in wonder as the red haired Gryffindor chugged the bottle. It seemed entirely possible that she might finish it. Leyla didn't think that was too smart. She may have never drank before but she knew what alcohol could do to you, especially when consumed at such a rapid pace. And firewhiskey was no simple drink.

It didn't happen often that Brenda was surprised by someone. She thought Niela was mostly the typical brash Gryffindor--all talk and no action. She'd seen grown men unable to drink firewhiskey straight for that long without stopping. And Niela was just a fifth year. Irish or not, Brenda had doubted that the girl was old enough or experienced enough to drink like that. She had underestimated Niela... but she wouldn't make that mistake again.
Brenda counted out the thirty seconds, then snatched the half-empty bottle away from the redhead. "OK, color me impressed. I saw a Scottish man twice your size reduced to tears doing that."
She wiped off the mouth of the bottle and took a healthy swig for herself, then held it out to Leyla, a challenge in her eyes.
"I think it's time for Miss Leyla to play, don't you?" she said, looking at Niela.

When the bottle was pulled away from her, Niela shook her head quickly, getting her head on straight. That was hot. She had to admit that it was stronger than a lot of stuff she had tried, definitely more than anything she had chugged before. She decided she was on water for the rest of the night so she could make sure she didn't have a head ache in the morning.
"Alright... alright... wow. OK I'm good. Leyla... Now that you've seen it, your turn. Truth or Dare."

Leyla felt her cheeks turn a bit pink as she thought of the possibilites for both options. She wanted to seem brave and she thought dare was a risky choice. Plus she didn't have anything interesting to tell them and knew truth would be pretty boring.
"I think I'm going to go with Dare. Keep in mind I've never had a drink in my life so unless you want me to puke all over the both of you...well, you've been warned." She said with a grin. She hoped they wouldn't make her drink like Niela did. She definitely couldn't handle that.

"Dare, huh?"
Niela figured she would at least be a little nice to her and not make her chug like she had to. But every girl needed a first drink, at the same time.
"All right. I'll be a little nice. I dare you to take just one shot, one ounce of Firewiskey, then stand up and in your best Dumbledore impersonation, sing the Hogwarts song."
At the very least, it should give Brenda and her a laugh.

Brenda was always a bit disappointed when someone chose "dare." After all, what she loved best about this game was the chance to find out all the good gossip about someone. And something told her that Leyla--sweet, innocent little Leyla--had a secret. And once she found out what it was, Brenda intended to take it straight to Toby. After all, Toby was the only seventh year Slytherin boy that she had yet to become... acquainted with. And that simply wouldn't do. Her legacy was in doubt.
And the dare wasn't even very scary. Still, it would be amusing, and she'd probably have a laugh. Besides, they needed to ease little Leyla into this game.
So Brenda reached back under the bed and pulled out three shot glasses. In a deft maneuver that would surely come in handy for her likely career as a barmaid, she poured a shot for Leyla and placed it in front of the girl, her eyebrow raised in challenge.
