Personality:
Caroline isn't all bad, and maybe, one time in her life, she really did love her husband. Just maybe.
She is high maintenance, and loves fashion and the high life- loves the things money can buy, because if she repeats it enough, maybe she'll finally believe that money really can buy happiness. Somewhere deep inside of her is a sad, insecure little girl, but she's buried so deeply by ice and manipulation, that Caroline comes off... well, b*tchier than she really is. After all, Jordan's a smart guy, and she knows he fell in love with something beyond her looks.
And on a good day, she can be a complete sweetheart to just about anyone. Unfortunately, her tendency to overreact to bad situations has put distance between her and almost everyone she knows.

History:
Caroline was born the baby of the Carter family, a wealthy, pureblood family, and the only blonde. There are still strong doubts whether she was actually the child of Paul Carter, or one of her mother's many affairs.
Right away, she was given to a nanny, and for all intents and purposes, ignored by her parents. Her older siblings suffered the same fate, and while she and her sister Rachel would be at each other's throats constantly, her brother Barry looked after her.
She grew up watching her mother have affair after affair, and her father turn a blind eye towards it. Marilyn was gorgeous, and was probably barely more than a trophy wife for Paul Carter. Needless to say, it wasn't a very loving, nurturing family that Caroline grew up in.
She learned how to be manipulative very early one. When she was younger, it was just for attention, but as she grew older, it became a habit, and so did using people.
When she received her Hogwarts letter at 11, she jumped at the chance to go. At least at school, there would be people to talk to. At the root of it, all the child wanted was someone to love her, outside of her brother.
So when Jordan Wells came into the picture, Caroline might have been smitten. She ate up the attention he gave her, and at the same time, figured she may as well take advantage of the fact that it seemed he would do just about anything for her. She didn't realize it, but she was using him, like she did to everyone she knew.
They grew close, and while her ways didn't really change, she began to see Jordan as her closest friend. Her best friends, of course, were other vapid, wealth obsessed Slytherin girls, but he was the one she could talk to. He was the only person, in fact, that could make her laugh, and it was for that that she fell in love with him.
By her final year, her parents final divorced. The concept was so frowned upon that the whole ordeal was long and ugly, and all of the children were dragged into it. Caroline reacted by lashing out, which was typical for her.
A few months after graduating, Jordan proposed, and Caroline figured that her closest friend was good enough.
Now, they're growing apart. She never talks to her family, except Barry on rare occassions (his wife and Caroline do not get along, big surprise), and Jordan is pretty much all she has, which for a while was fine.
Until he started hinting at children. She has her reasons for putting him off, and she knows that the topic isn't want started the rift between them, but it made the chasm wider, for sure.
Anything else? She's a Gemini. And wow, that whole history was very Jordan centric.
