In Father's Study

[Bellatrix Black]

Bella bit her lip as she thought about Narcissa's question. Lucius was from a respectable family, and was well mannered. She liked him, the little she knew about him. She stood from her seat and walked over to where Narcissa was sitting. "Of course I approve, darling Cissa." She gave her sister a warm smile as she embraced her.

[Narcissa Black]

Narcissa smiled and gave her sister a hug in return. "I'm gald you approve," she said. "I was more worried about you approving, than father. I see you more, and I wouldn't want you to disapprove."

[Bellatrix Black]

She laughed as her sister spoke. "And what would you have done if I had not approved?" She placed her hands on her hips, shifting her weight to one leg and staring bluntly at her sister.

[Narcissa Black]

"I would probably go ahead and do it anyway," she said with a laugh. "Although, I would have to here you fuss about why did I do it. I'm glad that you won't be fussing," she said. "That's why I wouldn't want you to disapprove. Well, not only that, but you're my only sister. You get my point."

[Bellatrix Black]

"Don't be silly," Bella cackled. "I'm not your only sister." True, neither of them spoke to Andromeda anymore since she ran off with that muggle Ted Tonks and disgraced the family. Their parents didn't even like to talk about her, and while Bellatrix felt equally as ashamed she couldn't yet come to ignore Andromeda's existence completely.

[Narcissa Black]

"Well, I mean who I'm close too. I haven't spoken to Andromeda in awhile," said Narcissa. "And she's never around, but then again, mother and father don't want her around. I think I may owl her anyway, and tell her about things going on here, and see what she's up too."

[Bellatrix Black]

"Do keep it quiet, Cissy. If father were to find out you were in contact with her...oh, the horrible things he would do!" Bella knew better than to go behind her parents' backs on something that important to them. Sneaking into the office to nick some silly old necklace, that was one thing, but speaking with Andy again...she couldn't imagine it.

[Alastor Domino]

Sirius was walking to his room when he heard Bellatrix and Narcissa talking. He crept up to the wall behind them and kept quiet. They were talking about Andromeda, she was the only he knew by Andy. If their father heard about this, Sirius could maybe get something out of it.

[Narcissa Black]

"True," said Narcissa. "I don't want him to curse me like he did before. It was horrible. Father does it way too much anyway. Most of the time, it's just cause he's in a bad mood and doesn't know who to take it out on," she said with a frown.

[Alastor Domino]

Sirius listened intently and waited for his chance to hear something really good. He especially wanted to hear something from Narcissa.

[Bellatrix Black]

"Well you know not to get in his way when he's in a right state. Honestly, Narcissa you did deserve that last one. You shouldn't have been talking back, especially right after Andy's leaving..." Bella shook her head at her sister's blatant disobedience of the rules. They were straight forward enough, it wasn't as though she could have been confused by them.

[Narcissa Black]

Narcissa sighed. "Well, maybe, but father doesn't have to punish me like that. He could just be a normal person and just lock me in my room and not let me have anything to eat," said Narcissa.

[Bellatrix Black]

Bella laughed at her sister's definition of 'normal' and shook her head slightly. "Poor Cissy," she cooed sarcastically. "You're stronger for it, aren't you? You'll do the same when you have children darling."

[Narcissa Black]

"I'll punish them yes, but not curse them," said Narcissa. "I don't think I could curse them like that. I mean I would find other means of punishment, but not the cursing, because that is the worst there is."

[Bellatrix Black]

Bella smiled kindly at her sister, wondering, since Cissy was going to be engage now, when she and Lucius would have a child. Bellatrix had never wanted children of her own, and knew that her fiancee Rodolphus would be a horrid father. He was so lax with everything, their children would run around like mad. No, children were not for her. But she knew that Narcissa would have them. At least one or two.

"Why don't you marry someone respectable and nice not cruel and evil?" Sirius asked popping out from behind the corner and watching them. "Your husbands could turn out just like our father and curse you guys."

[Narcissa Black]

Narcissa turned to see Sirius. "Dear Sirius, I am marrying someone respectable and nice. He's not cruel and evil as you say. You don't know him," she said narrowing her eyes slightly. "And I can tell you now, that Lucius is nothing like my father! He wouldn't curse me, or my family."

[Alastor Domino]

"How can you be so sure? If I married you I'd probably curse myself." Sirius said smirking. He folded his arms. He liked getting on their nerves. "Most slytherins are cruel and evil."

[Bellatrix Black]

Bella was shocked to find her dimwitted cousin lurking in the shadows, he rarely got anything past the two of them. She looked to her sister as Narcissa began spouting praise of the great Lucius Malfoy and all that Narcissa mistakingly thought he was. She looked back to her cousin with a firm sneer in place. "As if anyone would marry the likes of you! You, my pathetic cousin, will die alone and friendless. No decent woman will have you."

"I wouldn't be too sure of that." Sirius said slicking back his hair. He gave them a big smirk. "That's the exact reason why no one would marry you, Bellatrix the ugly witch with a wart on her nose." He recited an old nickname he had given her.
