(no, timing is perfect, since the situation is getting critical in there, lol...)
Leander saw the boy coming, but he was essentially trapped. He had one arm stretched out under the cabinet, trying to reach his wand, and even if he moved, he'd only crash into Sean. And he'd still be weaponless. Curse his arms for not being an inch longer...
It was fortunate for him, then, that Sean's attempt to fire another body-binding curse at him went astray once again. It was odd how the boy seemed to twitch when he touched Leander's robe, causing the spell to careen off into a corner once again. It was as though he was having some kind of seizure or something. His eyes seemed to glaze over, as though he was seeing something that Leander could not...
A slow smile spread across Leander's face. "You... you're having a vision, aren't you?" he said.

Sean heard the question. Usually, by now, he would have no sense of anything around him, but he was trying very hard to control this. Having a vision now made him vulnerable and useless, and if this curse got his brother or anyone in that room hurt, he could never forgive himself.
"Shut up," he growled at Leander. He didn't need this guy distracting him more, though really he should have counted himself lucky for not having been killed already. "No."
While his enemy's attention was on him, though, he pointed his wand under the cabinet. "Accio wand." His words were shaky, and he wasn't positive that the spell would even work, but a moment later, he felt the other wand in his hand.
Something else strange happened while he was trying to force back his vision. It slowed down, to the point where Sean could actually register what he was seeing. This one seemed unrelated o Kryshna or the man in front of him, but it was a big step, anyway.
And then it was over, leaving Sean on his knees with a headache worse than he'd ever experienced, so bad, in fact, that he almost couldn't even see straight when he glanced up to catch his enemy's gaze.

Daniel was looking toward Alana and then toward Rutger. He wasn't necessarily worried for his life because he knew what he signed up for when he accepted the job. He was more worried about everyone else, as usual. His first thoughts went to Sean, he needed to know what Sean was doing. He knew that he was in the wardrobe but what if someone else was in there? They had a connection that was completely unexplainable and Daniel knew he would feel if there was something seriously wrong with Sean.
However, before Daniel's thoughts could travel too far, he felt something pierce his neck. Kryshna bit him. All thoughts fled Daniel as he could feel his blood being drained from his body. He knew that there was no use in fighting her because it would only cause him to weaken even more than he already was. He still couldn't really make a loud noise because of the silent charm.
Daniel's body was growing more limp and he was easy to drag, granted Kryshna could have easily dragged him anyway. He was trying to keep himself from thinking negatively, but thinking was not coming clearly to him at all. For a moment, he knew that Sean was fighting someone or something else, and all he could hope for at the moment was that his brother was okay and that possibly everything would end tonight even if that meant him going too because at least he would have gone down fighting.

Leander uttered a fierce swear under his breath as the boy claimed his wand. Now Sean had both wands, and Leander had none. He couldn't do anything without his wand, and so he would have to get it back from the kid. And when Sean fell to his knees, obviously in pain from the headache, Leander took that as a sign. He had to get his wand away while the kid was vulnerable.
So he lunged at Sean, making a desperate grab for the wands. To be honest, he didn't even care at that mom ent which one he ended up with, so long as he had a wand. But hand-to-hand combat was not exactly Leander's strong suit. He grabbed at Sean's wand hand and began to attempt to pry the wands out of his fingers.

In a split second, it seemed, the situation had gone from bad to worse. Alana was pinned, her condition unknown, and now Kryshna had her teeth in Daniel's neck. Rutger saw the quick flash of insanity in her eyes in that moment, and knew, based on his limited knowledge of vampires, that this was his moment. If he was going to fire a spell at her at all, this was his only chance.
He fired a quick succession of spells in her direction-- a stunning spell, a disarming spell, and a third spell that would cause confusion if it hit her. Even as she began to move toward the door, he silently prayed that one of his spells would make contact.
And yet, his eyes stayed rooted to the spot of blood left behind by Kryshna's blade as it trailed along the ground. Alana's blood. So the blade had pierced her flesh. He could only hope that the wound wasn't deep; that only a little bit of the poison had entered her system. He had so much he needed to tell her...

Sean, on the other hand, was going to fair much better at hand to hand right now, because he didn't have to think. Thinking hurt too much after what he'd just been through, and it was easier just to act.
Sean was knocked back, now flat on his back on the hard floor of the antechamber, but his fingers closed tight around the wands. There was no way he was letting this man get the upper, magical hand. Luckily, his training as an MLE officer taught him to fight how muggles would as well- because sometimes, you found yourself in a situation where you couldn't use magic.
His free hand formed a fist, and he swung hard, aimed at Leander's temple. He had to aim something tonight where it wouldn't miss.

He didn't miss. Sean's fist connected squarely with Leander's eye, and he felt the intense pain of vessels bursting even as the sheer force of the blow knocked him backwards, off of Sean and onto his back. He could feel something hot and sticky running down the corner of his eye, and he couldn't open his eye without feeling like his head would explode.
Leander was basically a coward; it was actually why he had attached himself to the Death Eaters and Lord Voldemort. There was safety in numbers, and who better to align oneself with than the most powerful dark wizard who had ever lived? But here he was on his own, and worse, he was responsible for the creature on the other side of the door, as well. He had to get her out... but his eye hurt so much...

Both of these men had stock in what was happening behind that door. Sean was getting increasingly worried... something really bad was happening to Daniel. And if it was getting worse, that meant no one was able to help him.. Had he sat by idly in a wardrobe while a massacre happened? The silence spell was a bad idea.
Sean scrambled to his feet, heading right for the door. But he couldn't allow the other man inside. He turned and aimed a blasting spell at him- not strong enough to kill him, just to throw him back and put some distance between them. At this point, he didn't care how injured the DDeath Eater was. He'd deal with it later.

Two of the three spells hit Kryshna dead on. With the combined momentum of her running and the stunning spell, she and Daniel hit the door, and hit it hard. The door shattered and the two of them spilled out into the front room. Kryshna took most of the blow, but with the stunning spell and the disarming spell, it sent the two of them into a spin.
When the two finally came to a rest, Kryshna was laying across Daniel's lap, her head on his stomach. They were between Leander and Sean. Something was very wrong with the Creature, though. Her red eyes were wide and she was barely moving. Her head slowly looked down and there, sticking out of her chest, was a large shard of wood.
Her head dropped back down onto Daniel and turned slight to look at Leander. Her chest was seizing and convulsing as she lay there, looking at him. It was the most emotion he had ever seen out of her. Pain. Complete and total pain.
She saw the blood on his brow and something clicked inside of her. He would not be able to get them both out with her in this state. She couldn't even move, let alone run. She knew she was dead one way or another. Her eyes glanced at the dagger she had given him then back up at his face. A drop of blood dripped out of her eye as the look of pain changed to fear. She took a ragged breath in so that she could speak a single word.
"Jara" Run

For a moment, nobody moved.
Leander had been thrown back against the wall closest to the door, and his shoulder had been dislocated with the impact. His injured eye was swollen and bloody, and the other was so glazed over with pain that it took him a moment to realize what had happened. But when his vision cleared slightly, he made eye contact with Kryshna, and was struck by the pain he saw in the creature's eyes. She might not have been human, but she was still a creature and she was suffering. And he had failed her. There was no way he could take on Sean and the Auror together and get both of them out of here in his current condition.
The word, spoken so quietly, somehow seemed to echo throughout the room. Leander had spent enough time around her that he knew what it meant. Somehow he managed to pull himself into a semi-standing position, and he bolted for the door.
"I'm sorry," he said to her as he fled.

Once Leander turned to run, everything seemed to pick up pace and move in double speed, making up for the lost time where everyone just sort of stopped.
"Dan," he said, his voice nearly cracking. His brother didn't look good, and all Sean wanted to do was go to him. That was his brother, his best friend- but he had an obligation, too. Shooting a desperate look at Rutger, he said, "Help him!"
And Sean did one of the hardest things he ever had to do- he turned and left. He chased after the Death Eater, but had wasted too much time already. The still pounding headache he had, plus Leander's head start, pretty much garaunteed he'd lose Sean.

Rutger didn't realize what had happened right away, either. He had been staring at the blood stain on the floor, and only snapped out of it when the door shattered. He didn't move, however, until Leander went for the door. He felt torn in different directions once again. He should go after Kryshna's helper, but he should also make sure Kryshna was secured. What he wanted to do, however, was neither of those things. He wanted to check on Alana.
When Sean ran after the helper, Rutger snapped into action. Duty won out, but only barely. "Alana, I'll be with you in a minute," he said, hoping she was conscious and able to hear him. He nodded to Isabella and Voltaire, who were standing just a little behind him, hoping that they would check on her while he dealt with Kryshna and Daniel. Then he ran over to where Kryshna and Daniel had fallen, kneeling down in front of them. He looked first at Daniel, checking to see that he was all right. He didn't look well. He was very pale, and his neck was bleeding. But Kryshna looked worse, with the wood sticking out of her chest. She wouldn't be getting away this time.
He could see she was in terrible pain. The board had pierced her chest, but not her heart... so she was weakened, but not dying. She might have been surprised to see compassion in his eyes as he spoke to her in a quiet voice. "Kryshna, stay still," he said. "I'm going to help you, but it will hurt you more if you move."
Taking out his wand, he used a summoning spell to remove the board from her chest. Using a torn piece of his robe, he patched her wound quickly, then used a body-binding spell to keep her from going anywhere. It wasn't much, and he spent less than five minutes tending to her, but it was the humane thing to do. Even if she was a monster, he would not be one in return.
Then he turned his attention to Daniel once again, patching the neck wound. He removed the silencing spell from Daniel, then leaned in close to him. "Daniel, can you speak?" he asked. "Are you hurt anywhere else?"
He would need a blood-replenishing potion for sure, and an anti-venom for the bite, but if there were any other injuries, he needed to know about them.

As the spells hit Kryshna, Daniel was dragged along with her. He was already fairly light headed and he wasn't exactly sure how much longer he could keep his eyes open before he blacked out because of lack of blood. The next thing he knew, they both went through a door and he was on the floor. He didn't have the strength to move so he didn't have a choice but to lay there. Kryshna's head was on his stomach and he wanted to kill her himself but he knew that he couldn't do it.
He heard Sean's voice and knew that his brother was alright, but before Daniel could respond, Sean was gone. Daniel knew he was chasing after someone. As Rutger appeared beside him, he couldn't help but to respond with a smart comment. "I just went through a door, of course I hurt," he said looking in Rutger's direction. He wasn't sure if Rutger would understand the sarcasm, but he knew if Sean was there he would just roll his eyes.
"I think it's just a bruise," he managed to add on. Daniel took a moment to catch his breath and attempt to stop feeling light headed. "Where's Sean?"

Rutger blinked in confusion for a moment, not quite sure how to respond to Daniel's first comment. It took him a moment to realize that it was sarcasm, which he had never really understood and could only vaguely recognize it because he was used to it from Alana.
"He went after Kryshna's partner," he replied then, glancing up at the door through which Sean had gone. "Let me check you over quickly, to make sure nothing is broken or bleeding."
His thoughts were still on Alana, but he still gave Daniel a thorough check-over. Finding no other injuries, he sighed with relief. "I think you'll be all right," he said. "Stay with Kryshna while I check on Alana. I don't think she's going anywhere," he added, glancing again at the creature.
Rutger was still in panic mode, but as he looked at the creature lying motionless on the floor, a strange sensation swept over him. It was over.
He ran back into the other room, where Isabella and Voltaire had moved the partition from Alana. Kneeling down once more, he touched the wound on her stomach. It didn't seem too deep... "Alana? It's me... say something."

The blasting spell had knocked him back against the wall with a lot of force, and as a result, his back was killing him. He was pretty sure he wasn't bleeding except for his eye injury, but he might have thrown out his back. He was nearly half-bent over as he ran unsteadily down the hall. He could hear Sean's footsteps behind him, but he didn't dare look back. The secret passageway was just a few hundred feet ahead.... but would he lose the boy... or would he follow?

Everything seemed to happen so quickly for Alana. It seemed like only ten seconds had gone by since Kryshna held the blade to her stomach and then was off of her, but Alana had no clue as to how long her life was in danger for. She was almost confused, as if she had just woken up from a dream and realized how scrambled the events were.
She smiled faintly when Rutger ran over to her. If she was in the mood for joking, she surely would have told him he was her prince come to save the day, like in the muggle tales she read as a child. But now, she didn’t feel much like making light of the situation. She cringed as Rutger placed his hand on her stomach, and remembered the knife. In her confusion, she had forgotten that she had been hurt and she could very well still die even if Kryshna wasn’t present anymore. Where had she gone? Alana had her eyes closed until she felt the partition being lifted off of her. She was sure she would find out soon enough if it was a success or not, so she didn’t bother asking.
Lifting her hand with her wand the best she could, she waved it almost lazily towards her lips to remove the spell that prevented her from making any kind of noise. She knew there were fresh tears in her eyes and if she looked half as bad as she felt… she didn’t want Rutger to see her like this, weakened and hurt.
“Hey,” she said, her voice quiet. She was in so much pain… she didn’t know how deep the dagger went or what kind of poison was on the blade, but she knew that she could very well die right here, and she still had something she wanted to say… “I… Rutger… I love you.”

She was hurt and weak, but Rutger still thought she was beautiful. Odd how he would even think of that in a moment like this, but he didn't dwell on it. He was quietly taking stock of her injuries, and began ripping another corner of his robe to patch her stomach injury. It didn't look deep, but the sickly green color on her face assured that at least some of the poison was seeping into her system. It was lucky that he had experienced that poison himself and now knew the treatment, but he would have to get her to the hospital for that.
When she spoke to him, however, he stopped what he was doing and turned to look at her. He wasn't expecting her to say what she did. The words sent shockwaves through his system. They were just words, they shouldn't have meant anything... except that they meant everything.
He felt the wall coming down again, and he didn't even care that they weren't alone. Somehow he moved so that he was cradling her head and upper body in his arms, holding her up. "Don't you give up on me now," he said softly. "I need you."
The words weren't the same, but they were the best he could do for now. And if they weren't enough, he followed them up by kissing her.

When Rutger had been looking over the piece of wood, the creature made eye contact with him. As she looked at him, he saw a thousand things flash through her eyes, anger, fear, pain, sorrow. He witnessed the creature and the being all at once.
Then he yanked out the stake. She had never, in her entire existence, ever been in this much pain. The wooden shard left behind pieces, only the largest piece was yanked out. The pain as it exited her body felt as painful as the day she was going through the change so long ago. Her entire body tensed up and her back arched as it was pulled. The scream she let out reverberated in the ears of everyone in these two rooms and out into the hall. It was so loud, it echoed out through the castle, so all the nearest teachers, and even one or two of the house quarters, would hear it.
Finally, as the last echoes died away, her body settled on the ground beside Daniel. The wound was more oozing blood than actually bleeding. There were only a few splatters of her dark blood on the ground, around and on Daniel. Without it being imbued magically, her blood was nothing more than that. It wasn't poison, acid or any other vile substance.
Daniel felt no more pain from the bite. It was merely a dull throbbing at that point. She had not drank enough blood from him to truly weaken him, nor had she done anything to cause any worry that he might turn into something like her.
Binding spell or not, Kryshna would not have been able to go far. Her injuries were far too severe for her to go anywhere or, at this point, really fight back. Her second Kukri was lodged into what remained of the door way and her scimitar was so sharp and was expelled from her hand with such force it was embedded into the stone of the wall near the bed. It had barely missed the couple by a few inches and was still wavering back and forth from the force it was thrown. The only weapon Kryshna still had on her was her wand, and she was useless in a fight using magic.
Instead, she lay there, curled up, half conscious of what was happening around her. Her eyes were half open, starring dully at the palm of her right hand. Daniel could barely hear her muttering the same word over and over again.
"fasal.... fasal..."
Failure... failure...

Isabella stood aside with Voltaire, her hand clutching his. They had all survived, it seemed, and Conor was safe... at least until the next time Voldemort came up with some new revenge plan to get to them. As Rutger and Alana began to talk in soft voices, and then he kissed her, Isabella felt that she was intruding on a private moment and she gave her husband a nudge before moving away.
She was still a little shaken by the creature's horrific cry of pain. It was easy to think of the vampire as a beast, but the truth was, it was still capable of suffering. It came as a harsh reminder to Isabella that there had once been a time when she herself had caused such suffering to others. The creature was still lying on the ground, its eyes glazed over with pain and mumbling something unintelligible, and Isabella felt a surprising stab of pity for it.
"I should get Dumbledore," she said, looking at Daniel. "He can arrange a portkey to get everyone to St. Mungo's. Voltaire, wait here." She looked at him then, giving him a look that she hoped he would understand, which was that he should keep an eye on things, just to make sure nothing else went wrong while she was gone.
"I'll be right back," she said, and hurried out of the room and in the direction of Dumbledore's office.
