"Yeah, if you do freelancing, then you wouldn't need to be tied down to a job or a schedule... you could just do what you wanted," Eleanor said. "But working for a studio would give you more experience for when you start your own studio. So I don't think you could go wrong if you tried those things."
In some ways, Eleanor really envied her friend. She was passionate about her photography and art, and it showed in her work. Eleanor wanted something like that.
When Nora asked her to be her model for some photographs, Eleanor felt a surge of excitement. As stupid as it probably sounded, Eleanor liked having her picture taken. She was very good at showing off for the camera, It made her feel pretty. And although she certainly hoped she had more to offer the world than just being pretty, she couldn't quite help the rush she got from it.
"Yes, of course I will," she replied happily.

"Great. I actually do have a few scenes in mind, but then we can just have fun with it." Eleanor had always been Nora's go to model. One time before, Nora attempted to use another girl but she didn't know how to do what Nora was looking for. Now, if Nora needed a model, it was Eleanor who she would ask. "We could do a range of serious to having fun. Then I could go to the dark room and print the pictures so I can have them in the morning." Of course, going into the dark room tonight meant that Nora probably wasn't going to sleep much at all since it usually took a little while for the pictures to form. Sure, she could use magic and help her pictures come out faster, but Nora liked doing it the muggle way.
"You know, maybe we could both do work for one of those fancy top name brand clothing stores. You could model the clothes and I take pictures. I hear they usually get either free clothes or a huge discount."

"Now that's an idea I can get behind!" Eleanor replied, laughing.
Nora was pretty enough to be in front of the camera, and not just behind it, and Eleanor had told her that many times. There was a reason, after all, that the two girls were often mistaken as sisters. They both had similar coloring and delicate bone structures. But Nora was the artist, and preferred taking pictures to being in them. Eleanor, however, liked having her picture taken, and she liked to practice posing, like a fashion model.
"Can you imagine? You a famous photographer, and me a famous model? Like that woman... what's her name? With the short hair and big eyes? But I'm telling you right now, I am not cutting off my hair."

"Oh no, you can't cut your hair off," Nora said shaking her head. There was no way that Nora could cut her hair either. "Your hair adds to the photos." Nora liked the idea of long hair on models. There was so much more to do with longer hair. It could be pinned up in so many different ways, or it could be curly or straight.
"We can go to a few of the businesses and see about applying. They might be always looking for photographers and models. Whatever prints I do tonight, we could use those as the portfolio we show them."

"Good," Eleanor said, running a hand through her long dark hair. "I'm pretty sure I'd look stupid with short hair. Besides, I like my hair just the way it is."
She really wasn't vain, although it sometimes seemed that way. But as she continued to search for her place in the world, she felt that she didn't have much else to offer besides her looks. And after all, she would only be young once, and she might as well take advantage of her looks while she still had them.
"That sounds like a good idea," she agreed. "I know a few small shops with some really great clothes... I bet they could really use some advertising. So we could help them out, and ourselves at the same time. I like it."

"Exactly. I mean, I don't see why they wouldn't want to advertise. I could even make the advertisements maybe if I had to. You could help me out. It's really not that hard to learn to do. Maybe some of our shots should be potential ads from that potential store. Granted it would take me at least a day to do that, but we could ask them if they want a sample after we go tomorrow." Nora was all for trying to getting an advertising job.
If they could get a job with one of the stores and do their advertising, that could open so many more doors for both of them. "Tomorrow will be a good day I believe. While we're out, maybe we should pick up a couple more shades of lipstick while we're out. We could just experiment with different things and see how the pictures turn out."

It all sounded rather technical to Eleanor, actually making up ads for stores, but she was sure she would understand it better when they actually had the pictures in front of them. And she could definitely get into the idea of experimenting with different looks.
"It sounds like fun!" she said. "In fact, I know where we should go first. There's this brand new store in London with really great clothes. I just noticed it the other day, and I think it's only just opened up. I bet they'd really like some advertising to get the business going... and I'd love an excuse to shop in there."
