"We'll be back, I promise sweetheart," he said to Mrs. Boulware as he led Victoria out of the room as he gave a wink in Mrs. Boulware's direction.
Just as he walked out and held the door for Victoria, Daniel let out a loud sigh. "I'm glad to be out of there. Sean usually does the research." He shook his head then started walking in the direction of the cafeteria slowly. That was how Daniel and Sean worked together. Sean would usually have the boring research part and Daniel would just go in making up a plan as they went. Of course, Daniel did help out on the research most of the time, but still. He hated sitting in a room trying to go through old papers for hours. He wished they had a faster way to do that.
"I don't know if you have had the coffee here yet, but I'll show you the secret to the best coffee here. A lot of people complain about it because they get the bad tasting one that you have to add a lot of sugar too, but I know the best pot they have."

Victoria followed him, trying not to notice the confident way he walked. She was sure she didn't look that confident, and that every passerby was immediately marking her off as a dumb blonde. Even though she always tried not to care about what other people thought, the truth was, she did. It was especially hard to go from being the popular girl in school to being the new girl who didn't know her way around.
The cafeteria looked pretty much like any muggle cafeteria would... brightly lit, not very well-decorated, and purely functional. It wasn't cheerful or bright or colorful; just drab-colored and utilitarian.
"Now, see, that's what I need," Victoria said as he told her about the coffee pot. "The little secrets not everyone knows. Which one is it?"
