Caleb was glad to hear that there were others younger than Tristan already working for Lord Voldemort. And he was also glad to know his lack of experience in Unforgivables would most likely not hurt his chances. This gave Caleb hope, and with hope he began to get cocky. He sat up a little straighter and had a smug smile plastered on his face. That was of course before Tristan mentioned being tested.
"Test me, aye? What sort of test?"
He could only imagine Lord Voldemort sending him on a task to prove his worth, and coming back a failure.
"What happens if I don't pass?"

"I don't know," Tristan said. "I suppose that'd be up to him. I really don't know if he'll test you at all, or if he'll just give you an assignment. But if you want it badly enough, I'm sure you'll do fine. You're not scared, are you?" he added, raising his eyebrow at the boy suspiciously.
