Tristan watched with amusement as a beautiful, but very obvious young woman strolled into the pub and began hanging on the man with whom he'd just been conversing. He wondered if this girl would keep him distracted enough that he could steal the necklace out of his pocket. "Seems you two are old friends," he commented.

Tai Lee peaked around Voltaire's shoulders and spotted a very good looking man at the bar. She smiled brightly and twisted around Voltaire, dragging him back to the bar. She sat atop it, earning her a mild glare from the bar man, she leaned down toward the man with one arm wrapped around Voltaire the other on the counter. "Oh we are the closest! Who might you be? Volty never has told me about you!" she said crossing her legs seductively, she was still wearing the most impractical robes and shoes, but today they were a shade of lavender.

"Volty?" Tristan repeated with a smirk. "Actually, we haven't been properly introduced. We only just met. Name's Tristan. I'd be interested in getting to know you better..." he added, grinning lecherously at the woman.

Voltaire pulled Tai Lee back from Tristan and said tightly "There Tai, He and I were merely discussing...some business we might of been able to do, but he's proved he has nothing to share." he wrapped his arms around her shoulders and kissed her ear saying "Don't call me Volty, Takes away from the whole 'I'm seriously dangerous' aspect of me."

"Oh pooh! You never want to be sweet with me..." she hopped off the counter, her robes catching a little as she slid off. "Would you have anything to say to me? What did he want to know anyways?" she asked leaning over to Tristan, flirtatiously pressing toward him.

"Oh, nothing much that would interest you, I'm sure," Tristan said, smiling. "So you're Tai, then? What's your friend's name? I mean, I'm sure it's not Volty."

Voltaire frowned and said "Voltaire. That's my name, and I wouldn't underestimate Tai." he said turning around and making for the door. "Hurry up Tai, I have a lead to follow." he said ducking out of the pub.

Tai stood up straighter at the praise and stopped pawing at the man, he wasn't nearly as fun as he hinted at. She dropped his wallet down on the counter and dashed out after Voltaire. "Wait Volty! Don't leave me!" she giggled and waved goodbye to the man and followed Voltaire, who was already down the alley's way, managing to latch on to him just as he apperated away.

Tristan stared at his wallet as she dropped it on the counter. "Hey!" he shouted after her. "Of all the nerve..." he grumbled. He silently cursed himself for being so stupid as to miss the fact that she had picked his pocket. He shook his head and repocketed his wallet.
