"Maybe I'll be more prepared next time," she said. She was going to have to work on keeping calm in different situations. She couldn't be in the mess that she used to be in. One of the whole reasons that she moved to London was so that she could start over. She was going to have to do that.
"We'll try again soon, yeah? And we are friends," Kayleigh agreed. "Maybe we could do both? I'm looking for a pet actually. Georgianna found me a place to rent rather than living in the hotel." The panic attack she had seemed to fade away. Her heart beat was still a little fast, but it was starting to slow down. "Plus, I do like ice cream, who doesn't?"

Flynn wasn't quite sure why he felt so responsible for her, but he did. When he had first started talking to her in the park, he hadn't expected that he would wind up taking her into Diagon Alley, buying her butterbeer, and helping her through a panic attack. But she was a sweet girl, and maybe it was just the fact that they were both Irish, but he felt like there was a bond between them that had started this day. But it was strange; he didn't really feel attracted to her, just sort of... protective. Like a big brother.
"Yeah, we'll try again," he replied, giving her an encouraging smile. "Do you... do you ever take anything for those attacks? Maybe it would help if you took some before you tried again."
He didn't know much about muggle medicine, but he'd heard that they had medications for just about everything. And if there wasn't something she could take in the muggle world, he knew of a few potions that she could use. A Calming Solution would work for mild cases, and if she was really upset, a Draught of Peace, in a low dose, would help.
"Anyway, yeah.... we can get you a pet. Some of the things they have are... well, more geared toward witches and wizards... rats and bats and toads and owls. But they do have cats." She seemed like she would be a cat person.
"So, why don't we go get some ice cream first, then we'll go to the pet store?" he suggested.

"I do have some potion that I got from a healer at St. Mungo's not too long ago." When Kayleigh came to England, she knew that she had to go see a doctor for medicine. Muggle medicine scared her when she took it because of the side effects. The side effects made her feel horrible, so she never took it. She had to have something else.
"I just forgot to bring it with me," she said. Kayleigh didn't think that she would need it today, but then again she didn't think she would end up where she was at the moment either.
"I always wanted an owl for a pet, but I think that would seem a little odd in the muggle world." Kayleigh smiled. "But I do like cats." There were always stray cats around her old home in America and she would throw food out for them.
"Ice cream sounds good. I have been craving chocolate chip or cookies and cream ice cream for awhile now."

Flynn smiled warmly. It was of his opinion that there was no situation or problem that couldn't be made better with ice cream. One of the few things his family had ever done together without arguing was eat ice cream. He remembered when he was much younger, whenever they came to Diagon Alley, they always had to make a stop at Florean Fortescue's for ice cream. Flynn was proud to say that he had tried every single flavor on the menu, and even a few that weren't.
"You'll love this place," he assured her. "They have flavors you won't see at the average ice cream shop.... special concoctions mixed up by Florean Fortescue himself. Oh, of course he's got the usual flavors, too, and they're the best you'll ever taste. I think today I'll go for the blueberry pie. I'm tellin' you, it really tastes exactly like blueberry pie, only cold."
